people that whine about you not being accurate or whatever in a shootout are dumb anyway since in a tradeoff there's always going to be a winner and there's always going to be a loser. it's a 50/50 chance. it's not really skill when you see someone and they see you. it boils down to who gets more rounds down range/how fast their gun is and who lands the critical hit(s) first. if you walk past a hole in the wall and get shot in the side of the head then that's 100% your own fault but if you turn and catch someone sticking their gun out of it and you both spray each other down then your team doesn't really have the right to complain if you die first which is typically what happens anyway
if your team complains that you died then that's their own problem, not yours. don't even respond to them if they get upset you died since typically the most toxic players are the ones with the lowest KDR in the match anyway

I have snap-HS:ed and also wasted half a mag of LMG in the same round. I've seen others do the same. Very rarely do I see people be consistent with their aim.
I mean, crosshair placement ahead of time is usually a key in winning those gunfights, but sometimes you just fuck up your shot. I've had quite a few times where I just blatantly miss when trying to flip onto my target and get smoked because of it, and I'm a high plat who generally tends to smoke people with headshots.

So I bet the game, but the situations are kind of kicking my ass. I'm on the fourth one now with Ash. I'm playing on realistic so it's actually somewhat interesting and a challenge.

Don't bother with realistic imo, it's just a bullshit difficulty without much thought put into it.

best to stick to normal since realistic is just bullshit for no real extra payout. outside of what the situations are specifically teaching you, thats all you can learn for it, outside of using drones to scout ahead, and shooting through walls. But you'll learn most of your stuff through casual or terrorist hunt (especially learning the maps) though getting into terrorist hunt matches can be frustratingly long.
Learning the maps you can do just by walking through them in a solo custom and blowing as much shit up as possible. It's how I learned all the maps inside and out. Just destroy as much shit as possible.
I've grown to enjoy playing Sledge as a stealth op, slap some silencer on the L85 and you can blindside a lot of people with the sledge hammer since it's significantly quieter than breach charge or shotgun
