Ooh is that a kriss
I never got the hype around the Kriss. Is it because it looks like a space gun?
Oh, another operator with breach.
except she's a defender
Oh, another operator with breach.
She's the defender though.
She's the defender though.
But... why would you do that?
If you look though there seems to be a frame around it kinda darker red-ish color probably metal and it looks like it has 2 silver clamps on the top and bottom like it stays there in the reinforcement; like people are saying it is a panel of bullet proof glass that lets you see.
That is what I am hoping for at least as well because if it is just a defender who can make a hole that will be so bad in casual matches.
I'm guessing it's going to either blast a hole in the wall and have a bullet-proof window in place so you can see through it, or it's going to be some magic infrared screen that shows you what's on the other side.
If she can provide a window, then sure. That's fine.
Because when Tachanka was updated it was stated she made the shield for him; aka glass paneled metal framed.
And "Mira" is look so she probably made a portable bullet proof looking panel.
I'm like 99% sure Mira is the defender since Jackal on defense doesn't seem all that useful. And I bet you her window is bulletproof so it becomes a double edged sword similar to Castle's barricades. I cannot wait for this.
I never got the hype around the Kriss. Is it because it looks like a space gun?
pretty much. It had some hype because it had ~Revolutionary Super-V technology!~ which made shooting .45 in full auto more controllable, but I don't know if it really amounted everything and pretty much everyone who would have adopted it and used it already used and was happy with the MP5 so nothing really came of it. As far video games go, yeah its purely because it looks cool.
It was also probably very VERY expensive and no one wanted to pay for something that was marginally better than what they had.

Well they are pretty much confirmed when they announced what weapons Jackal had... unless they all of a sudden give defender a good rifle, also in the newer leak with the restroom sign of their artwork Mira is holding the Kriss Vector which is a smg which defenders get normally.

Yeah people like to cite Jaeger but he brings a carbine while Jackal seems to be bringing an AR. The SMG to me is pretty much icing on the cake in the whole "Jackal is the defender" theory.

The last FPS I played that had the Kriss was MW2 and I liked it. Also, that fire rate.
No telling if she's an attacker or not. When Hibana was revealed, it too showed her breaching from the latch side of the reinforcement.
I really can't imagine that the attackers need yet another reinforcement breaching option, and honestly Jackal's ability can be useful for both attackers and defenders but, we'll see.

Mira was seen with Tachanka, so she may be a defender. But assuming attackers vs defenders is simply a VR training exercise, they could all be friends.

Ah, looking at it closely, you can see the glass panel on the back. Interesting. Don't know if this is going to be game changing though.

I seem to see the Vector pretty often, CoD, Far Cry, Killing Floor, Payday. In contrast I haven't seen my favorite rifle since Combat Arms, or my other favorite since CoD: Black Ops (but it was a really shit weapon in that game).
Buck is my favourite character and he has my two favourite rifles; a normal M4 (or at least the closest thing to one) and an FAL.
Hyped for the Vector :dogcited:
omg a vector, I'm getting flashbacks to black ops 2s vector which was insanely good, I'm p sure it will have a lot of recoil tho
I wanna put a valk cam on the glass and taunt the enemy with it

But the camera would be pointing inward though
hehe i love rainbow six
I liked it better when it was a single player tactical planning game. Siege is good and I enjoy it but it's not what I wanted from franchise.
It could just as accurately be called SWAT: Siege, but I'm fine with it because it's been a fun concept. It is weird having a Rainbow Six game without a single-player story and the planning and gameplay that comes with that, though. The only terrorists in the game are the "White Masks", who's sole existence is to provide targets in the coop mode. They don't even have a clear goal, they just show up in whatever map the game gives you with a random bomb, hostage, or even neither.

Expand Terrorist Hunt please.
Wonder if the window is one-sided, as in, mirror/unable to see anything from the other side?
Or do you think it would be too imba?

I hate rainbow six

It would have been better with a single-player campaign. The game has an actual plot at the beginning, and they did fuck all with this.

yeah except the singleplayer missions and the plot was tacked on afterwards because this was intended to be a competitive multiplayer game

I think it would be pretty shit if they split half their resources on making a tacked on single player for what's clearly a multiplayer first game.
People complain about tacked on multiplayer when it's a purely single player game, this isn't any difference.
Calling it a Rainbow Six game was a mistake. The least they could've done is keeping John Clark (or his son-in-law Ding Chaves) as a nice nod to original series instead of changing him to some politically correct no-name. :v:
