Would it be actually possible to make new roads or edit the map? I'd love it if people attempted to make a more proper sized City of London or Manchester, not to scale of course.
I think there's a map editor in the dev console. I remember there was one in Euro Truck Sim 1.
Just bought it, I couldn't resist the temptation at that price after the demo.
Which ADR Cert is most worth getting? In the first game it was a progression that you paid for rather than a per-type selection and once I got the first level I rarely transported anything else. Overturned a tank full of fucking cyanide just outside Grimsby. Still got paid.
Still got paid.
By who? :v:
Hitler probably
Shall I get a loan to get a Scania, on level 3 atm
I think I got my first truck at about level 4... It'll take a while to pay off the loan, but the payments for freight market deliveries are far more profitable even after fuel costs. Is there any way to fast travel with a truck you own? Quick deliveries have you magicking all over Europe but now all the really profitable stuff originates forever away and I'm in the middle of nowhere.
Why did they speed cap the trucks in the first place.
In the game or real life? in the game because it's realistic, and in real life because it's pretty dangerous for a vehicle of that size to be going any faster (as you can see from the amount of crashes in this thread)
here we go then..
Carefully driving with a huge payload, slowly turn, SUDDENLY THE TRUCK FLIPS [editline]2nd November 2012[/editline] Was a 20000 euro delivery and thankfully there was only 1 percent damage to it. I got fucking seven percent. Took me a third of the pay from that to fix it. Anyone else put an extremely unnecessary and excessive amount of lights on your truck?

In fact, is there some kind of light to light up your cargo a bit so you can see if you're on the road properly at 2am in the Darkfucknowhere?

If you press F4, you get lighting options.

It's like the flashing lights on heavy machinery.
So since I have 4 rows of lights, it's so fucking bright .
Why do I only seem to have horrific accidents when I'm carrying deadly poisons? I changed lanes too quickly (Somehow) and (Somehow) lost control of the truck sending it across three lanes and into a tree at 55mph. Brand new truck, too :argh: 5 mins later I took an offramp at about 30, which is my usual. And lost control again. This new engine is fucking with me. I should be very dead.
My beloved Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S Wheel arrived in the mail today. Using a wheel really is a vast emprovement. Still getting used to the splitter shifting though..
I can't figure out how to park the trucks.
Well.. Say you're backing up and want to turn the trailer to your right. Then you first need to turn the tractor left a little, i.e. turn the wheel left and reverse. This will start to point the trailer in the right direction. You can then go back to the neutral point and if you continue reversing, this will tighten the angle between your tractor and trailer. If you turn the wheel to the right, there will be a point where the angle of your front wheels match the angle between trailer and tractor. The whole thing will now reverse around a corner like a normal car. This position is very unstable and you'll need to correct it a lot. If you turn the wheel further to the right, you will start to point your trailer back into the other direction. It takes some practice, escpecially guessing the point at which you need to start your turn - I'm still getting it wrong and have to pull the trailer back out and start again every single time. It's easier in real life, I can tell you that much. Those few pixels you can see in the mirrors make it really hard. Try using the external or bird's eye view first, that might help. Where shit gets really complicated is when you're backing up a drawbar trailer with a steering axle. [editline]2nd November 2012[/editline] Check out this vid of someone backing up a trailer in German Truck Simulator:

Man, Big Dicks Trucking took a 40,000+ loss. We're having bad luck. Low paying jobs, two car accidents and repairs and the last job I had to cancel at a huge loss to me because my truck couldn't pull the cargo out of the quarry.
You need to go up from the quarry with the first gear.
Playing this when actually tired and ingame tired is a nasty combo. i made some genuine errors. But ive found a pretty short ADR route, dropped off a batch of Cyanide then and got £9000 for it (im still really low level)
Do better tires increase grip?
Do better tires increase grip?
Yeah, but even if you push it too hard, the weight is still going to throw your truck. Better tires won't stop that, but you'll find you won't be going everywhere on the road.
How do i find new garages to buy? ive maxed out my home base but from all the freighting ive done, ive found loads of new dealers but dont think ive seen any garages
How do i find new garages to buy? ive maxed out my home base but from all the freighting ive done, ive found loads of new dealers but dont think ive seen any garages
If you go to towns and look on the map you should see green house symbols. Those are garages. They have one of those green floating squares you have to stop in to buy the garage.
Maybe you should try it drunk, I once recorded myself playing Forza drunk and I ended up trying to drive around the whole track in 1st gear
It's a similar story with F1 2012 in Monaco drunk, I don't have the reaction time when I'm sober to play that track needless to say when drunk there was carnage every corner.
Maybe you should try it drunk, I once recorded myself playing Forza drunk and I ended up trying to drive around the whole track in 1st gear
I played ETS 2 drunk a few nights ago and everything went fine. I am a pretty relaxed drunk though. Still, I would never drive drunk IRL.
Is the speed of the truck depends on its level?(like when you buy it, it has level availability)
