What steering wheel do you guys suggest for playing a game like this and racing games. Got like a £20 budget
Don't do it, I bought an Ebay special once and it was terrible, you'd turn the steering wheel slightly to the left and it would go on full lock, it was all or nothing (this was for 18 wheels of steel)
Is it normal for your drivers to hardly rake in £1000?.
I've got 13k to my name, should I take out a loan and buy my own truck?
Is it normal for your drivers to hardly rake in £1000?.
Apparently they take a long time to become profitable. People have reported even lower earnings here. Part of the problem seems to be that they drive around without cargo a lot. I can't say, I don't play regularly and I haven't gotten around to hiring anyone yet (also because of the hardcore economy mod I'm using). I'd suggest you do a couple more runs as an employee and get a couple more skill points so that you earn a little more per haul. Otherwise the interest might kill you.

You have to resort to muggings in order to pay for gas.
Well, don't activate it before you've got your own truck and a couple of skill points that get you better paying jobs. Because you won't earn shit as a hired driver. As to the diesel costs, I don't agree. But, yeah, freight jobs pay about a quarter of what they're worth in vanilla mode, and diesel is around 1.45 per litre. Also: Loans cost less per day but last longer. Fines seem to be slightly reduced, at least in Germany. All trucks, parts, engines, etc are unlocked from the beginning, and the price tags on those are said to be more realistic now. I don't know, didn't play much without the mod. Also, you can buy different trannies now. -------- By the way, is anyone else's screen not going black when they're dozing off? Mine just turns a little darker, and while it says "Dozing.." on the screen, I can still control the truck.
I installed a 200 km speed limit, but my scania r is still only doing 90 http://eurotruck2modding.wordpress.com/2012/10/21/no-top-speed-limit/ I put the file in the mod files, but it still doesn't work

2 garage hardly enough money made by my drivers to pay for my maintenance. meanwhile I make a shit ton of expensive delivery to keep 'em alive. Wtf employees I aint yo mom, start being profitable already ffs
It helps to start with if you don't hire the shitty 0.8 rated ones. I kept scouting recruitment centres until I found a guy with 1.7, which was pretty close to my overall rating. By his second delivery he was making me 1k per day.
I just focused all their leveling on Distance and eventually they start being competent.
So, i finally got this game. I. SUCK. AT. PARKING.
don't die thread. please?
So I told my friend to download it after I tried the trial and met up with him. We decided to take turns driving from the bottom right (I think the Slovakia region) and non-stop head to the UK and London. So basically we get a contract to haul rice for the Red Cross to the next town over and immediately we take a 100,000 load for the trip and than flee the country. In the end we were six days and 14 hours late to deliver it (which we ultimately never did) We racked up 20,000 in speeding, red light, wrong lane, collision and headlight offenses. Stopped at Amsterdam to smoke weed and slept only twice within a week. We called a tow-truck eight times because of mishaps we had whilst taking on/off ramps at 90MPH and so on. Our cargo was 100% damaged and we charged all of our gas, repair and tow-truck fees to our employer. As if it wasn't bad enough we stole his truck, his cargo and took out a huge loan we never intended to pay off we kept racking up a huge bill and left a trail of tickets and car accidents across Europe.
although i am late, this is the funniest post i've read in years, it had me in tears got a lot of weird looks in the middle of the lecture :v:
Are there any essential mods for this game and how much does the realistic physics mod change the game?
Are there any essential mods for this game and how much does the realistic physics mod change the game?
The mod that removes the speed limit is pretty good, and it doesn't feel like cheating either. Can download it here, terrible host but it will have to do. :v:
any body can help me to change language this game to english??
Well, I'm not sure how would you end up with it on russian, but here you go [t]http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/3143/eurotrucks2201211211031.jpg[/t] [t]http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/7449/eurotrucks2201211211032.jpg[/t] [t]http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/7449/eurotrucks2201211211032.jpg[/t] [t]http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/7449/eurotrucks2201211211032.jpg[/t] The language change is instantaneous.
[t]http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/3143/eurotrucks2201211211031.jpg[/t]
Watch out, Johnny. You're in debt.
Watch out, Johnny. You're in debt.
And by the end of this job and the repair of the truck I think I will be a little bit on the positive this time.
yes i'ts true . but i have not option English to select it :( 4 language in list but is'nt English :(
Well, then download the English version from the developer's website and enter your key. That is, unless you pirated a Russian version. In which case your computer will probably go up in flames very soon anyway, but not before those Russians have used the key-logger that came with the torrent to get all your passwords and then posted your kinky home made porn videos on your facebook page, emptied all your bank accounts and used your credit cards to pay for their girlfriends' brand new silicone tits [editline]22nd November 2012[/editline] just kidding. they'd obviously go for a full make-over instead of just a boob-job.
Scary true story. A week after ETS2 reversed, beeping, into my life, I collected a friend from a house in the middle of nowhere. We’d driven about a mile down a winding country lane when the friend enquired “Er, shouldn’t you be on the other side of the road?” Days of whisking simulated cargoes along simulated continental highways had stealthily displaced a decade and a half of unsimulated British motoring experience. I veered to the left, and blurted a confession. This long-distance lorry driving game is as mesmerising as the swish-swish of windscreen wipers in a rain-lashed traffic jam. It’s as rhythmic as motorway driving. Mirror, signal, manoeuvre, mirror signal, manoeuvre; dip headlights, undip headlights, dip headlights, undip headlights… As your haulage business grows and you explore more and more of the seamless European venue, the suspiciously unisex scenery and slightly timid truck audio seems less and less important. What matters is identifying the most lucrative contracts, then fulfilling those contracts as speedily and safely as possible. 2012 has given us more detailed and plausible vehicles than ETS2’s DAFs, Scanias and Volvos (the FSX and X-Plane add-on scene continues to spawn a steady stream of high-fidelity gems). It’s given us lovelier landscapes (AeroFly FS springs to mind). What it hasn’t managed to do is deliver a sim with more natural momentum, more innate randomness. Dynamic job offers, ever-changing traffic flows, and thousands of miles of hand-crafted tarmac are the ever-present rumble strips that keep Zen-like relaxation from turning into bleary-eyed boredom. In a market awash with atrocious vehicle games masquerading as simulators, ETS2 risks being damned by association. “Budget price, unpromising theme? Think I’ll stick to the winged wonders I know and love.” All those who do cross the road to avoid this articulated outsider are missing out on a sim as singular as it is soothing, as hypnotising as it is terminally unhip.
Eurotruck Simulator got the game of the year award, that's sweet.
