What do you have your drivers trained as? If you want them to pull some serious dough, train them as 'long distance' first.
I guess I'll start training them in that then.
While they'll never make the kind of money that you make, I've been told they get better. I wouldn't know. I keep having to start over because of mods. Is anyone else using the Trucksim map? It's awesome. Also comes with a mod, called the "Just Play Mod" or JPM, which adds new loads and renames all the companies to real ones with the corresponding logos. I haven't found any English sites that offer or even discuss it, which is a shame. It adds loads of new locations. You can go all the way to Spain, also Greece, Croatia, and even a stretch of northern Africa. [editline]13th November 2013[/editline] Also, it's a damn shame that virtually all of the American style truck mods are either for older versions of ETS2 and thus incompatible, or they replace ALL trucks of one brand, or they change the camera for ALL trucks of one brand, or they're just plain crappy unfinished work by some Russian dude. [editline]13th November 2013[/editline] Also, if you drive a Scania, fucking get this mod: http://ets2mods.org/2013/10/scania-v8-sound-v2-by-kriechbaum/ There's also a v3, but I like v2 better. It really, truly sounds almost like the real thing.
found an english site with a dl link http://www.modsaholic.com/forums/index.php/files/download/302-trucksim-map-justplay-mod/
I feel bad for anyone who has to drive in front of me.
If they made a Scandinavian DLC, i'd buy it in a heartbeat
I'd buy it, then never get there because I accidentally rolled my truck off the Oresund bridge.
It sounds sorta stupid but I wish there were a lot more car mods for this game. The driving in ETS2 is amazingly "fun" but still relaxing, there's no car equivalent that matches that. It'd be amazing to just cruise around in a nice sedan in the rain while all of your workers are hauling goods for your company.
Have you tried this one? http://ets2.lt/en/bmw-x6-passengers-mod/ Automerge where have you gone?
found an english site with a dl link http://www.modsaholic.com/forums/index.php/files/download/302-trucksim-map-justplay-mod/
To anyone intending to download this: This is just the "Just play mod" - you will still need the TSM map, the latest version of which can be found here: http://www.modsaholic.com/forums/index.php/files/file/232-tsm-map/ I'd post a screenshot of the latest version's map, but I can't be arsed to start up the game right now. Well, as I said, it adds new areas in France, Spain, northern Africa, Italy, Greece, Croatia and also a few new places and roads in many the other countries.
I'm using "realistic physics", along with the 1500 hp engine for one of the scania trucks. It's really something special, going 180 km/h aiming for the apex on the highways.
Are there any good car mods beyond that bmw one? I wanna cruise while making bank
Fookin hell I have a shitty HDMI-adapter on my screen that makes the screen go black randomly for a few seconds. I was driving when it decided to make me blind, heard some heavy crashing and ho
[t]http://i.imgur.com/TeEgFDQ.jpg[/t] I really shouldn't have turned the speed limiter off.

SO. tempted to reinstall. Must resist. Keep grades up.
SO. tempted to reinstall. Must resist. Keep grades up.
Who needs grades when you can be a trucker? Even better ... a VIRTUAL trucker? [editline]16th November 2013[/editline] Also, i kept wondering why my truck was a bit unresponsive on the steering when i stepped on the gas. Turns out the wheels kept lifting off the ground. That's it. I'm getting rid of this 1500hp engine. I need 2000hp instead.
I caved

Is there anyway to put custom ID pictures into the game?
Made a fancy wallpaper [t]http://i.imgur.com/tr5B02b.jpg[/t]
This game is ridiculously addictive. I picked it up during the sale yesterday and already I've played 14 hours..
Kudos man. Now it's only a matter of hours before you'll discover some amazing mods. There's no shame in 2000bhp! And i also completely forgot to post this pic! I am getting alot better at this shit!
sorry if this has been asked before but i'm playing with a fake madcatz ps3 controller and every time i brake, the camera automatically changes to top down view also every time i fully accelerate, the view auto centers how do i change both of these? [editline]2nd December 2013[/editline] nevermind fixed it
I wish I could use this with a gamepad but I have no idea how to set any of that up. Using mouse and keyboard makes steering so freaking annoying, because small corrections in the steering end up taking longer because tapping one direction key sends me too far, so I have to go back and forth.
I need more lights.
I need more lights.
I think you really could use a frame of red pepper christmas lights around your windscreen.
Is ETC a full-on sim? IE, as a commercial driver would I just get pissed off and ragequit at inaccuracies? Feel free to PM me if this is derailing the thread.
It's not quite as high-fidelity as certain flight or racing sims, but ETS2 is nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable. You'll find the physics and "road feel" a little on the light side of hardcore sim (no load-shifting under hard braking for instance), and there aren't any clickable interior elements. However, the vehicle controls are all there, high-range & low-range gearing, manual shifting, engine braking, yada yada. Coupling and decoupling trailers is just a keystroke; you don't get to walk around plugging in pneumatic and electrical connections or operating trailer jacks. Where ETS2 really shines is in its overall world design and atmosphere. It's a nice place to be, with nice things to look at and listen to, as you go about your business performing your deliveries. The ai traffic is not bad, and wherever the ai does do stupid things, it's ironically not too dissimilar to the real-life stupid things that actual drivers do :) Since ETS2 is now heavily discounted and on sale regularly, there's very little reason not to pick it up just to check it out (Humble Bundle's doing a sale on it right this very minute). *Edit - There is a free demo too, you can find it at SCS Software's website.
Check that out, the DLC goind east just 3.24 USD on steam, want to see those new and interesting new roads that suppousedly are in it. http://store.steampowered.com/app/227310/
