Can I change my autosave settings?
It keeps fucking saving after I get rammed by Russians, with the last being when I started the mission.

afaik it's 10 minutes between saves. I poked around the config files and couldn't find anything to change the autosave time or structure.
How much of a difference does positional trucking make?
Very clever.

It can't be saving only every 10 minutes, because it saves every time I get hit.
Maybe it saves when you stop if the last time it saved was x minutes ago?

It autosaves on every accident for me.
I'd love to be able to outrun the police with my truck when I turn the speed limiter off. :v:
When the cops are on your ass you can unlatch the trailer and send that shipment of gasoline right through their windshield like some sort of Die Hard movie.
if anything i sincerely hope it has a built in multiplayer and a more robust customization mode. being able to desing your own patterns and color schemes would be a godsend.

But then how are they gonna charge you out the ass for DLC? Don't see that happening.
Talking about disabling the speed limiter, I was surprised it took me to around 126 mph to blow my volvo's engine, expected it to happen sooner.

Wait? Blow the engine?? You can over rev the engines?

Turn the limiter off or go manual and see, most trucks appear to red line around 6-8, I had mine going off the dials. :v:

I do keep my limiter off and manual. I never blew my engine though, I thought it wasn't possible in ETS2 and never really pushed it to try.
That's awesome.

I kinda fucked up on a straight road....

Well considering it gave me massive engine damage to around 80% and the engine barely started after and I had to crawl to the service marker I would consider the engine to be blown almost. :v:

I've never blown my engine. And I've gone from 12thgear at 125km/h to first gear in one go and nothing happens.
I have at a point drove my Scania at over 140km/h. But it's however a slow progress. It's a goddamn good feeling to speed at the empty german highways in MP.
Volvo's have the biggest engines. Slap a 750HP on it and that thing hauls dicks. An oversized load and it drives like a Scania without a trailer

I've heard the opposite - that Volvos are fast as hell but drive like ass, while Scanias are almost as fast but handle decently.
Tried some ETS2 MP with my cousin. Not too many complaints, but early on someone drove up really fast into me and kind of flipped on his side, rammed into me and launched me off the road into the countryside until I eventually fell off the map at 600km/h, that was fun.

Just the last one was my own fault. Was surprised that you can drive on water.
Would I be able to get some assistance with the MP mod? It doesn't seem to be working for me and I haven't found a working solution yet.
Whenever I start up ETS 2 MP, I get an error titled "Unsupported game version detected! To play ETS2MP you need to have ETS2 1.10.1.17s (Steam Release)!" even though I am using a Steam version.
And yes, I have checked the solution on ETS2MP's Help Thread OP and made sure my game directory is correct.

ETS2MP currently only supports 1.10.1.17s. Steam version is 1.11 something. Dunno if there is a way to revert, but basically the answer is to hang tight while they update.
To get an older version, right click on the game in your Steam library, go to Properties, then Betas. In the dropdown box, select "temporary11017" and hit the close button. That should work, if it does what it says.

temporary_1_10_01_19, else he'd have version 1.10.01.17, which is also not supported by MP, since it's outdated.
Also there's another addon coming out in october, adding sweden, norway and denmark, hopefully finland too. http://blog.scssoft.com/2014/08/driving-in-north-and-oculus-rift-dk2.html
yes yes yes really looking forward to Nordic dlc it's gonna be so awesome to drive in my own country!

I think I got it linked with the game, I appreciate it.
Also, how much of a player density does there tend to be? I haven't seen any players aside from maybe 1 or 2 on the player list.

I tend to see quite a few people around the Berlin area and traveling to and from England.
Take any random city in mainland Europe and there'll probably be 4-5 people there at any given time.
I always like when I pass people on the country roads
