I hope ETS2 MP gets microphone support so I can patch it through Virtual Audio Cable with a low pass filter and do this
Would only work if it had AOE/Local support.
And yet another poll about the speed limiter: http://forum.ets2mp.com/showthread.php?tid=8550
It's amazing how people rage over this.
I'm not seeing too much rage, I'm mostly seeing "go play nfs" and "this doesn't solve anything". The argument is going in circles now, it's pointless to contribute.
Anyone have any recommendations for mods? I got some car and trailer packs but that's all I saw.
Either limit the speed or increase the server's tick rate. I'm for the speed limiter. If you increase the rate and it becomes laggy then it defeats the purpose of preventing GhostRams
How has the traffic been for other people since the change? I only played a bit when the update was new so far, the server did report 1200+ players on but there were no queues at europoort when I passed.
That's been the big change with the limiter I've seen, everyone is moving everywhere at precisely 90 km/h and you only ever see traffic passing the other way - unless you happen to catch up to someone with a poor framerate.
The moment the update came out, I did a quick 700km job. Actually had 3 or 4 people in front of me the whole time and a few overtook me.
There was even that one situation, where I was overtaking a guy on the right lane, while another one overtook me on the left lane. That moment when I realised nobody rammed each other, just amazing.
But that was the only job I did since the update came out, so I guess it was just that "new update hype".

I still end up having to reload saves 1-2 times whenever I operate anywhere near Europort. People going through red lights, cutting corners, turning into shipping yards at max speed, etc.
Have you ever thought that you were so pro, that you fucked up at the end?

I think I'm finally going to try MP.
So, after two initial encounters with a guy who didn't look left and right before turning out of a parking lot and one dude who rammed me from behind on purpose and knocked over my truck, causing 20k € worth of damage, it turned into a quite enjoyable experience.
6/10 will probably play again.
[editline]23rd August 2014[/editline]
automerge lol
I'm amazed how populated ets2mp is, also it's pretty funny when you see a truck lag out and get launched in the air in your mirrors.
Postan truck.

I downloaded the RusMod, TSM and Promod's and bought the Going East expansion.
So I literally have the biggest possible Euro Truck map ever. This is going to be insane.
Nothern-Africa to Moscow long-haul. No sleeping. Final destination.
Shiiiit I cannot wait for the Scandinavia expansion. I hope my home town's gonna be there, if it is I'm planting another garage there.
What's your hometown? Promod adds Scandinavia.
I couldn't get Rusmod to work and TSM isn't compatible with any of the other mods.
When I checked the other day TSM hadn't even updated to include the road to venice map changes yet

Södertälje. I'd prefer not to go with mods unless they're a standard comparable to SCS work
Sodertalje is in Promod. I passed it on my last run. Honestly, I'd say Promod is on par with SCS work. It's really well done.
50 Hours. No breaks, stopped for gas two or three times, can't remember. 1,500 miles.
Shit was crazy. Geneva to Lahti.
I'd argue ProMod is better than SCS' layouts

If only the options in Steam were:
- Keep game up to date
- Queue update for manual updating
- Keep game up to date at top priority
Instead of
- Keep game up to date
- Update the game when I launch it (no going back)
- Top priority
I have to go back 20 real hours or so on my save to a pre-mods state now, can't even hold the game stable on 1.13 so I can finish out this game before updating.

this is going to work wonders in mp, ty devs

I forgot about that. I wasn't sure if it all fully worked. Thanks for the tip and confirmation that that's what it's for.

That's mighty decent of them.
Are there any speed limit removal mods for singleplayer that work with the current version of the game? The one's I've tried prevent my saves from loading
[editline]16th November 2014[/editline]
oh wait there's an option for that in the game settings, derp
ETS2 MP is just amazing, but I wish it worked with promods.
My new truck!

How populated is the MP mod? I played a few hours last night and only ran into 3 people. Maybe it was the fact that I was driving mainly around Dortmund, where are the most populated areas?

Usually the port in Rotterdam. Then again a lot of players aren't playing at the moment since the mp team is updating the mp mod for version 1.14. And because the servers are "free-play", which means no rules until the new mp mod update comes out.
well today i've finally bought this game and tried out the mp
what i like is everything, but i hate that frames drop like hell if you're near a company of people and the precise parking is pain in the ass
