does ATS have the ability to choose which oculus runtime you use like ETS2?
Good lord, some of these delivery points are hard to park in, especially if you're an idiot at parking trailers like I am.

Yeah the parking spots are considerably harder in ATS than in ETS I'd say
So what would you guys say are the best mods for ets2? I'm looking for something that can expand my game even further without having to pay for the dlc.
I bought Going East thinking that that was all I need for the Russian map mod.
Turns out I need Scandinavia aswell
fuckkkkkkkkkkk

Apparently Promod 2.0 adds Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine and can be compatible with rusmap.
Time to create the eastern europe trucking sim
The fines are pretty nazi atm. Was going 55, suddenly zone went to 30 and I got a $1000 fine, then it went back to 55, then back to 30. All within 10 seconds. Well, I didn't need that money anyway
g_police 0 in the console, not entirely sure if it works in ATS though.
Why do I struggle to go round corners so much, say a junction is coming up, my trailer always seems to hit either the curb or a wall/fence that is on the pathway... does anyone have any tips on cornering, i'm getting slightly better but still(for either ETS2 or ATS)

Take turns as wide as possible, I mean get within inches of the opposite barrier and then gradually turn, I always keep an eye on the mirror to keep the trailer straightening out without hitting things. I will say European trucks are easier for me to drive because of the lack of a long cab, these big American trucks take some getting used to, just remember to keep your turns as wide as possible at all times.
I'm having a blast with this game, I've visited almost every city so far, and my only problems are small gripes like the constantly changing speed limits and sometimes stupid traffic. Does anyone know what the best options are when leveling up? I put a few points into long distance but I'm not really sure what would help along with that.
EDIT: Also, will there be a new thread for ATS specifically or should it all just be conglomerated into this thread along with the other games in the series?

What about oncoming traffic aswell, do you just wait till they're all clear or?
Edit: I could PM a mod and ask them to change the thread name to Truck Simlation/sim?
[editline]4th February 2016[/editline]
I PM'd Orkel to see what the plan was and he said to make a new, better thread with both games in it so if anyone wants to take that task on, go ahead
Drove from Moscow to Tallinn, game crashed 50km away

Just in time delivery. At least 2 levels.
Not only does it give the largest money bonus but also the largest XP bonus.
You need 2 levels in it to unlock the "Urgent" class deliveries.
It also combines with other types of delivery e.g. a job can be both "High Value Cargo" and "Urgent", giving even more bonus. Next again is Hazardous, so also look at getting a couple of those.
You are always given enough time to complete the job even sticking to speed limits. All you have to worry about is being rested first if you have fatigue on and the job doesn't give you the time to rest, and not getting caught in a busy junction. Don't worry about long city drives, the game clock slows down considerably in cities.
My strategy was always to max out Hazardous licenses and than max out long-hauls so each trip will net you over $10,000 or at least that's how I did it in ETS2 but I haven't had a chance to really play ATS like that.
Is there an ini file somewhere so I can change the amount tickets cost? Like, I don't mind getting speeding tickets for being careless (although in real life you'd lose your CDL fast as fuck that way) but $1,000 a pop is way too much. Like $300-$500 is more reasonable.
Is this game more demanding than ETS2? If I can run that can I run this most likely?
Is this game more demanding than ETS2? If I can run that can I run this most likely?
I'm pretty sure it's the same engine.. so not really

They have made some performance improvements, but you still take heavy fps hits from time to time. The system requirements are exactly the same as ETS 2 so if you can play that then you can play ATS.
ATS finely releases when I don't have money for it :v:
Even though it's $20, I've got to buy parts for my pickup.
Excited to try it when I do have money. I've had all of the 18 WoS games, RigNRoll, Hard Truck 1 and 2 as well as KOTR, As well as more.
I'm honestly surprised this game is only 1GB.
I wonder what could they fit in 50gb like gta v.
Shame I'm already bored of it after the million penalties I get from the police haha.
The only thing that bothers me is there's no radio commands with other passing truckers. Come on 18WoSAA had that!
I've got to the point where I'm familiar enough with the map that I roughly know where's safe to break the speed limit, where likely speed traps are and such - also once you're breaking the AI traffic's speed limits you don't have to worry about police cars sneaking up from behind. It also has me favouring night driving for the thinner traffic.
I could just not, chill and get comfy but I'm kinda competing with a friend to grow my company quicker than him :v:
However, it turns out there are also speed cameras. They're small, not signposted and it's entirely possible you could get caught by them without even knowing what happened. Thankfully though their fine is half of what a police car issues.
Some hints:
Treat city entrance signs as 30 mph speed limit signs. The speed limit switch in every case I can think of aligned with a city entrance/limit sign.
Treat junction sections on a normally fast road as a slower limit too - down to 40 from 55 in California, 65 from 80 in Nevada. You know the type - T-junction with a single lane road trying to join directly onto a 2 lane highway, the one you never want to have to turn left onto the highway from. Not every junction enforces the slower speed limit or matches these numbers, but I saw a trend.
Discrete weigh stations have a 20 mph speed limit, and police are likely to be stationed by or spawn as driving traffic around them. It's easy to expect their limit to be 30mph and get caught out. Also if you are speeding and a weigh station is coming up, be prepared for police.
invisible walls man thanks for dealing 70% damage to the truck.
60 ingame hours to drive from Moscow to Glasgow.
dayum

You think that's nazi? I once got a fine for driving without light the second my truck spawned and I turned on the engine.
What's the longest haul available in ATS? I've read that the map is considerably smaller than ETS2.
man, ets2 servers went down the shitter today and I didn't get to truck, and now I'm sad
I hope they get that stuff fixed, it's been like half a day already
I installed all of jazzycat's mods but for some reason there are only police cars and trucks everywhere. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?
These intersections are a pain in the ass when someone in front of you wants to turn left.

Is the Scandinavia DLC worth it?

That is too real. I have to deal with a lot of those kinds of intersections where I live.
