I'd like to see large commercial trailerless flatbed trucks in ATS. I don't know what the proper term is. [t]http://www.meadowstruck.com/inc/photo/1132/4.jpg[/t] I know lots of companies use them for intra-state deliveries and the like. Would be a nice different thing to add.
Extreme Trucker 1 & 2 had them standard, while older 18 WOS games had these rigs as addons.
[t]http://vgy.me/CCk6rh.jpg[/t] Driving anywhere near Oxnard makes me ill.
Is there any rain in MP ever at all [editline]14th February 2016[/editline] ATS that is
Is there any rain in MP ever at all [editline]14th February 2016[/editline] ATS that is
If it's anything like ETS2 MP the rain is clientside, so based on your own rain chance setting I guess?
[t]http://vgy.me/CCk6rh.jpg[/t] Driving anywhere near Oxnard makes me ill.
It's amazing how much trouble some people have with corners in this game. Although I imagine a lot of the time with this corner it's on purpose
It's amazing how much trouble some people have with corners in this game. Although I imagine a lot of the time with this corner it's on purpose
Thank god none of these people drive trucks in the real world.
It's amazing how much trouble some people have with corners in this game. Although I imagine a lot of the time with this corner it's on purpose
It's not even that, some people sent giving bigger trailers the right of way. For example when I do a 19t trailer intersections become hard due to people pulling all they way up onto the line.
I enjoy turning my trailer stability all the way down, find a curvy road and SWAY BACK AND FORTH ON MY SIDE. Doing a convoy of that makes everyone laugh at you.
Is there a force feedback wheel that I can get that'll sit comfortably on my lap on a couch? There's no way for me to have a table or desk to mount the wheel on.
I actually love ATS. I hope they won't forget about ETS 2 :(
I actually love ATS. I hope they won't forget about ETS 2 :(
They already said that a new Renault truck is on the way for ETS2 IIRC.

You'd need something to mount the wheel to. If the wheel isn't clamped down to something, it's just gonna smack you in the legs/knees as the motor housing spins around with the wheel stationary in your hands. If you're sat on a couch, your best option would be something like this, (it's stupidly expensive, though). You could probably build something similar on your own for much cheaper.
The Kenworth W900 is out Some patch notes too: Player has more time to react to changes in speed limit before it is enforced by the police. Tweaked police offence probabilities for 'no lights' and 'speeding' Added option for disabling traffic offense Added reduction of fines based on player's level http://steamcommunity.com/app/270880/discussions/0/412446890550816637/
Might swap my truck on my MP save for a W900. I'll have to check it out when I get home.
Shame my new W900 doesn't look as good in baby blue like the T680 did. Went with a boring metallic red instead. Atleast it sounds really sexy and the interior just looks amazing.
W900 is the sexiest one of em all
Utterly pitiful customisation just like the other trucks. I want to adorn my steeds in bullbars and beacons god damn it! It does sound amazing though I'll give it that :v:

I could just make something that goes over my legs and rests on the cushions though. Like one of those breakfast in bed thingies.

Fuck this thing is huge, I had to adjust the seat just to see my GPS properly
a long-nosed truck like the W900 is so much more satisfying to drive.
a long-nosed truck like the W900 is so much more satisfying to drive.
My experience with long-nosed trucks in a nutshell: -pull up to intersection in left lane behind a car -get distracted/start daydreaming -regain focus and see green light -did the car drive off or was it waiting to turn left??? -rearend car because changing cameras to check is too immersion-breaking I try avoid the left lane now :v:
Does anyone here have a good sensitivity setup for the 360 controller? Unfortunately I don't have a wheel and can't afford one right now. There seems to be a "stiff steering" or resistance factor to the steering on gamepad mode that prevents turning the wheel all the way if you're moving at all. It doesn't exist in wheel mode, but that's not designed for an analog stick at all and I lose fine control. But the way it is now, I'm having to slow to sub 10mph speeds to make a standard 90 degree turn - which I get is realistic, but does not suit well on multiplayer. it also makes the windier roads very dangerous for me, either by not making the corners or by other drivers then making crazy overtake attempts while I'm going slow enough to make it. I've tried messing with wheel mode sensitivity and non-linearity, but the latter in particular appears to be time based, not input magnitude based; i.e. it'll be slow to steer for a second and then shoot up to full speed - doing exactly the same when going to the other direction, making correcting steering back impossible. I've also tried looking for a console command to alter this damping on gamepad steering but with no luck. Anyone managed to deal with this? Edit: looking around there's plenty of people having this issue, but the only solution offered is to use the wheel type, either with super twitchy response or horrendous oversteer depending on sensitivity. Guess I'll just make getting a wheel a higher priority.
Found out that my sister plays ETS2. It's convoy time

The new auto trans glitch (where nearly slowing to 10MPH while turning confuses the trans, making it so that even if the truck is floored, it completely stops from the trans repeatedly switching gears) in ATS makes it a pain, but I live with it. I don't like wheels at all. They all feel too far from realistic to be fun. The 360 controller, to me, makes for more precise handling, without a false sense of realism that i felt with wheels.
The W900 is what I was dreaming about when putzing about in ETS2 and again so when ATS was announced and first released. The W900 [DEL]makes[/DEL], no, is this game. :excited: They did an awesome job with the audio recording, but the classic "brrt" still exists under some conditions... The exhaust brake needs to be revisited and updated in both ATS and ETS2! Regardless of the minor quibbles, she is one sexy beast and a blast to drive.
I just made my worst delivery in Euro Truck, A trip from Poland to England that ended up costing me 60k + expenses and fees. The damage to the cargo was anther 60k, so thankfully I didn't need to pay that as well.

I'd LOVE to have New England, specifically Maine, but I doubt ATS will be developed that far. When you get up to the mountain areas, local log and equipment hauls for quick cash would be possible and realistic as well.
