Why would you buy a demo?!

Great controls. I decided to add one since I noticed that Y wasn't being used.
I assigned Y to headlights.

"Sparing no gas to deliver your gifts."
Oh man. Was stuck at the Kassel underpass for like 3 in game hours.

i didn't.
i didn't.
When you first start the game, there's a choice to activate it, or choose demo. You probably inadvertently chose demo.
i picked activate and put in the key. it said it worked.
Welll..then the question is, where did you get your key...
Also, fuck Britain. Curvy roads, narrow lanes, cops/cams everywhere.. I got fined four times and tipped my lorry over once on the drive from Newcastle to Carlisle, accumulating a thousand €'s worth of fines and 2500 worth of damage. And I hardly ever went over 100 kph :V
This game is awesome when you're wanting to kick back and relax.
Step 1: Buy a steering wheel.
Step 2: Find a radio station you like.
Step 3: Wait until night time to deliver.
Step 4: Hope it rains.
Those 4 things build up a really relaxing fun game.
My only problem with it yet is with having to quickly switch back and forth from my wheel and mouse while looking out for cars at give way roads.

Why don't you assign a couple of buttons on the wheel to that function?
Oh cool. I didn't know you could do that, I thought you'd need a joystick like input or something.
Anyway, can someone tell me what I'm supposed to do at the docks?
I need to get over seas and I'm driving over the dock icon and can't figure out what i'm supposed to do. Well, nevermind that, you have to be positioned exactly on top of it.
I saw a woman walking on the sidewalk in one of the cities (that was the first and only one I saw so far though) and I instinctively honked at her. I'm now a certified trucker.

Park on top of the icon, press enter.
So I was just playing, picked up a load and then this happened. The music in the background was actually from in game radio, was Radio 538 Hitzone.

It appears you hit a wall
So i've hired two drivers, and they're only making around 400 to 600 Euros. What the hell? I'm making on average 20k a day. Shouldn't they be somewhere closer to that?
EKR radio, best radio
I wish someone would make a car mod for this lol and the free roaming is gonna be totally awesome
Are there any cheats?
I saw cheat engine a few places and am just wondering if there are any.
Would rather just add 500k and buy a new garage and a few trucks for my empire.
[editline]28th October 2012[/editline]
Would rather do that then 80 trips.
I wish someone would make a car mod for this lol and the free roaming is gonna be totally awesome
I don't see why you couldn't. I mean, you can mod new trucks in right? So you'd fabricate an interior from assets already in game, lower the field of view, use a car model from the game and change the mass and what not so you can take turns going 88 miles an hour without losing control and flipping, fix acceleration and so on.

That ruins the entire point of the game, not to mention it doesn't take 80 trips to make that amount of money.
Holy shit the AI cars need to learn how to merge on a highway without stopping.

And not abruptly stop or slow down on back-roads.
Holy shit the AI cars need to learn how to merge on a highway without stopping.
This is like the ONLY time I ever crash in this game anymore. The fact that they usually brake before hitting their blinker is massively irritating, but I guess it's quite realistic since I see so many people do that in real life.
Do truckless drivers do anything at all? At least quick jobs?
Do truckless drivers do anything at all? At least quick jobs?
I can't speak for everyone but for me so far, even drivers with trucks have been completely detrimental to my company.
it's not even worth hiring truck drivers, considering they all make like £400 a day it isn't worth buying them a truck
My two drivers that have been going for a while earn €3900 and €2100 per day. That's still less than my loan repayments, but whatever.
On the driver manager page you can choose what skills they level up in - from what I've seen I'd recommend long distance. I've got a suspicion that different cities have different sorts of jobs available, so long distance increases the chance they'll actually get a decent job. Also I guess longer trips means less downtime?
Economy driving looks useful too, since my drivers use a shitload more fuel than I do.
the driver i hired is already making more than me per day
This guy is either extremely bad at this game, or there are cases when AI drivers do make money.
Looking at the tables some more. Drivers head back to base after their job, they don't take a return freight like a player would. This effectively doubles their fuel and maintenance, or halves their profit per distance, if you prefer to look at it that way. I think that's why they make hardly any money at first. The salaries are about $10/km and the basic jobs are worth not much more than $20/km. And you're paying them to drive the distance there and back.
