i'm part way through my second playthrough
never thought i'd actually love a game so much to warrant a second playthrough right after my first one
Day 11 - [sp]I fucking loved how the psychiatrist needed a psychiatrist themselves in the way they did that. It was hard to not be a dick and make yourself drunk.
I will have to do that in another playthrough.[/sp]
The game's setting is confusing me big time. Because this isn't the only game that takes place in the Va-11 Hall-A universe. Read Only Memories came out a year before and is made by completely different people but it takes place in the same universe. But I've never seen the VA-11 developers or even the wikipedia page for VA-11 mention Read Only Memories.

Huh, you're right. I just watched the trailer for ROM and I already see several things that were referenced in VA-11. Never even heard of this game until you mentioned it.

Yeah, I know knew it existed cause a friend mentioned it. If you're interested in the setting then it's very good, you get to actually explore around and get a lot more of the lore/filler.

Well, others already mentioned Neo San Fran, which is a city mentioned in VA-11 Hall-A several times.
You can buy a replica of Turing, the sentient robot in ROM, to put in your room in VA-11.
I saw a bar called Hassy in ROM's trailer, and there are TV ads for Hassy in VA-11.
The Augmented Eye also shows up in newspaper form in one of the trailers.
I will have to look into ROM when i have the money, this cyberpunk thrust is going to kill me.
I just finished the game and i'm just blown away at the labour of love you can see in this game. These guys deserve all the respect and pints here. You can tell they had fun making this and honestly, it reflects onto the player. I'm in quite a good mood because of this game.

the developers of ROM are good friends of the devs of VA-11 Hall-A, IIRC
Just bought this game yesterday and I'll have to say this is the most relaxing and down-to-earth game I have played in a while. All the little details just make the game beautiful and lovely. Really feels that there is a city out there instead of a tiny little bar.
And of course all the sexual tension with Jill just makes me giggle every time.
Already I've posted around 15 screenshots of conversations, and I'm only on day 9. Just halfway to go.
Hope it doesn't get faced pace. The slow, soft pace I feel right now is perfect.
So yeah, love the game, gunna play more when I have time after studying tomorrow.

Finally got around to completing the last few days, [sp]got all the endings apart from the Kira Miki one (and the bad ending) first time through. Was pretty proud of myself.
The endings were so heartwarming and satisfying, glad it all ended on a high note.[/sp]
