I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bastion is easy to deal with on his own, it's when he has a Reinhardt camping in front of him that he becomes really damn hard to deal with.
Just pick Pharah or Junkrat and shoot at the shield where Bastion can't see you for a while.
bastion could do with some lil tweaks but they are right that most people just ignore the counters lots of people are busy trying to main scissors and it's not going to work
I'm just going to throw some sticks into the fire. Has no one noticed that Bastion happens to die....a lot? People make it sound like he is the ultimate killing machine that has no counters.
Man its going to be awkward when all you dva players get into the game and realize she's shittest girl and start worshipping mcree like us normal people.

Closed beta he was strong because he could sit himself in a corner and have his shield mitigate all the damage.
The only balance change I think is really needed would be Widowmaker's 150 damage body shots. Sniping should encourage going for head shots, not body shots. Everything else we should wait to see how it feels in the first few weeks of playing.

McCree could use some fashion tips. Seems a little gaudy for his character.
It's nice that the thread is finally getting good and bastion complaints are abating.
Like I said way back, Bastion on his own is fine, he can be killed fairly easily It's when he's paired with a Reinhardt that he becomes an issue
We're all soldiers now.
I think it's silly that people are complaining about unbalanced heroes when the game isn't even out yet.
Like I said way back, Bastion on his own is fine, he can be killed fairly easily It's when he's paired with a Reinhardt that he becomes an issue
Such a glorious killing strategy that I managed to kill 3 people people before they switched to Pharah and Junkrat and completely shat on us three. And won the game because three people on the enemy team sat in one corner of the point just to make a braindead strategy work.
I think it's silly that people are complaining about unbalanced heroes when the game isn't even out yet.
Did you miss the week long open beta or something...? I don't understand your reasoning. What makes it silly that people are sharing their opinions based on their experience of the game?
I think it's silly that people are complaining about unbalanced heroes when the game isn't even out yet.
I think it's alright for players to critique the game's balance, especially since we all played the beta and the beta essentially represents the final product.
I think it's silly that people are complaining about unbalanced heroes when the game isn't even out yet.
The game had an open beta for quite few days. What the hell is with the mindset you need 500 hours of playtime to be able to see possible errors in balancing?
Oh, so they automatically assumed everyone are just fucking retarded and dismissed any possibility of balance fuck up on their part, being it Hero or bad map design related. Nice, nice, I expect great things with this sort of approach.
They're assuming pub players are just fucking retarded and that's usually a good approach for balance. Bastion (almost?) never shows up in competitive play.
Such a glorious killing strategy that I managed to kill 3 people people before they switched to Pharah and Junkrat and completely shat on us three. And won the game because three people on the enemy team sat in one corner of the point just to make a braindead strategy work.
If the Bastion+Reinhardt (sometimes even with a pocket Mercy) are set up in a corner on the point, I've never seen that defense broken.
The game had an open beta for quite few days. What the hell is with the mindset you need 500 hours of playtime to be able to see possible errors in balancing?
I think the general mind set is that most people need more then 2-3 days worth of gameplay hours to understand the game inside and out. It's not like everyone played the beta non-stop the whole time the beta was running. People didn't even have time to try out every hero enough to understand them let alone know every single counter.
Bastian with Reinhardt means two players are being used to essentially do the job of one. Waste of team resources tbh
If the "waste of team resources" sits in a chokepoint with rest of the team playing around that setup, effectively preventing any attempt at push, it's not a waste.
Did you miss the week long open beta or something...? I don't understand your reasoning. What makes it silly that people are sharing their opinions based on their experience of the game?
Do we know what changes has been made to the game from beta end until now?
I think the general mind set is that most people need more then 2-3 days worth of gameplay hours to understand the game inside and out. Bastions are a joke when I'm playing with friends, but can be a problem when I'm solo queueing.
Do we know what changes has been made to the game from beta end until now?
Considering it's only been 2 weeks, it's safe to say nothing major has changed. Even if it turns out they have made big changes, then I still don't see the problem with people discussing the current balance.
Guess I'll buy this idk
that and a lot of people are content just to walk down the main road of every map and throw themselves into where everyone is looking every map has multiple flanking routes and attackers are the most mobile characters
If the Bastion+Reinhardt (sometimes even with a pocket Mercy) are set up in a corner on the point, I've never seen that defense broken.
You played with scrubs then. I saw plenty of times when it was broken, like in the example I posted. Two or three times someone flanked them and atleast one match where it was grinded down through sheer attrition.
"It's silly to complain about a game that's in alpha, it's not even out yet." "It's silly to complain about a game that's in (closed) beta, it's not even out yet." "It's silly to complain about a game that's in (open) beta, it's not even out yet." "It's silly to complain about a game that's just launched, it's barely even been out." "It's silly to complain about a game that's been out for awhile, there are obviously countering strategies." "It's silly to complain about a game that's been out for years, it's obviously the intended meta." And that's how you wind up with an originally trap-based defensive class getting an 8 shot remote-detonation rocket launcher and a grenade launcher secondary all of which can 1-2 shot all but one class in the game to be considered normal. [sp]Disclaimer: I have more than a month of raw play time on Demoman, anyone who says it was intended or balanced is delusional. But it is what it is, because Valve chickened out after backlash only two days after attempting to slightly tweak it - about 3-4 years later into the game. I'd hate to see Mei go the same way because people think in a vacuum that Reaper can out DPS her with perfect meatshots before being frozen by 0.5 seconds or some shit - which is still counting on her not pushing the escape/heal button.[/sp]
Question, why is the Overwatch Origins Edition PC box so big compared to the Xbox One and PS4 versions, which are just regular boxes? Is there a cool manual inside or something like that? I'm asking cause i preordered a physical copy too
Do we know what changes has been made to the game from beta end until now?
At most bug fixes. There's no huge balance changes coming with the full release.
Honestly, I don't blame them for thinking it's mostly playerbase at fault for not being able to play around Bastion because from 90% I am sure that's just the case. But the fact they haven't even CONSIDERED the possibility of fuck up on their part is what's really getting under my skin. Nah, nah, man, game's perfectly balanced, we cannot make mistakes, just learn to counter lol!!!
