I agree, all the characters that aren't visually black characters or white characters on the morality scale are kind of all over the fucking place. While I liked the visuals in Dragons I was left with a sense of emptiness when it came to what the hell the characters were fighting about.

the evil characters in overwatch are very very blatantly evil, but the good characters are just run of the mill good guy or all over the place
except symmetra, who has a character flaw that is very obvious in the comics, but in game it's basically not shown at all
Today Gamestop sent me a SMS produly announcing that I could retrive Overwatch at the local shop now

They exchange some line in-game. Basically Lúcio is the type of person who wants people to be free and live their life their way. While Symmetra wants to achieve peace by everyone being under protection of the company she works for.

her character was all over in that comic. Apparently she's TOTALLY willing to kill security if it's necessary to her sneaking around, but at the same time is compassionate enough to only knock people out otherwise, but her employer is just like "fuck subtlety" and firebombs the competition's building right before they'd be competing for a contract, along with the surrounding densely populated destitute suburbs and that child with a perfect face or whatever. She swears justice will be done to right the evils but doesn't the ingame dialogue with her imply she still works for dickbag inc?

lucio has the same kind of technology that lets her create hard light constructs, but sound instead. He fights against her company, but I don't remember if he's like a vox populi kind of figure or works for a competitor

so yeah she still works for Vishkar I guess. Lawful neutral, though her definition of 'lawful'/right/the greater good is coming from a neutral evil employer, and she seems loyal to them through manipulative means.

Pretty sure Lucio's backstory is also about him fighting against the company Symmetra works for, although there's no "evidence" that the two ever met during those circumstances. It's possible they met later.
