And half the defense is dead and Torbjorn's turret is down and it's the perfect time to advance and push

The upside was once we faced an equally stupid team on Hanamura (2x Widow, 2x Torbjorn a Bastion and some other hero on defence), they sat back behind the point with no-one on it so I was able to just waltz onto it, back up into the wall on the spawn side of the point and sit there with my shield up
And the defence just let me sit there and capture the point by myself, none of them even tried to contest it.

Had a widowmaker spam about the team needing a healer and eventually rage quit because no one switched.
Not really sure how McCree's ultimate works. Are you supposed to wait it out, and he fires all the shots at the end? Do you wait until he locks onto as many people as possible, then mash as hard as you can? Does it cancel if you don't mash fast enough? Do you tap every time somebody gets locked, or does that end the ult? It seems really inconsistent, how are you supposed to do it?

You click to fire at any time, but you only fire once. More people locked on the more shots you fire. Also you don't actually have to be fully locked on to hit someone but a full lock on is a guaranteed kill. Shields or walls will block the shots. It's mostly intended as something to be used when enemies are are standing in the open or are distracted and not looking at you.

Don't mash. Activate, look at enemies, wait for the red circle to shrink and it will show a skull I think? and then left click once, McCree will fire at all enemies in sight and fully-shrunk red circles will be an instant kill.
I know they plan to add more heroes, gamemodes and maps, but will there be hat updates as well? Genji needs more flavor.

Once activated, he automatically starts locking on to all heroes in view, then you have some period of time to hit left click and fire (There's a little circle in the centre of the screen that shows how many seconds remaining). The little lockon icons turn red once it'll be an instant kill on whatever enemy you're aiming at, the time for that to happen depends on the enemy's remaining health. Almost dead people it'll turn red pretty much instantly, squishy healers it only takes a few seconds, big tanks on full health you probably won't even be able to wait long enough to get them.
Also worth mentioning is if you right click while using McCree's ult you cancel it and retain 50% of your ult charge. I assume it's just whatever button you use for alt-fire on other platforms.

i played a lot of different heroes today. i was really good at tracer during the beta but i played like trash with her (except for one game) so there was a lot more diversity going on. everyone still feels great. i have to go to school tomorrow. if i didn't, i don't know what i would do.

I hit the training bot on the left with a single bodyshot and the one on the right with a single headshot, as you can see the one that got headshotted locked on so fast I couldn't even hit the screenshot button in time to capture it before it locked on, while the bodyshotted one is taking a bit longer.
(PS: If there's anything you don't understand about any hero's mechanic, the training range is a great place to feel things out!)
Is there a cap for what level you can reach? If there is that would be kind of bullshit if you hit the cap and didn't have the unlockables you want, forcing you to spend cash on gambling. Unless there's like a prestige system or whatever.

Me and my friends were playing quickplay and we thought we were playing fine, but were playing against a team who were obviously MUCH better and a few of them went "you fags really fucking suck lol", It being so one sided is bad enough. I try to avoid people like that.
