The Waifu-ism is approaching /vg/ levels.
Every character is fine and fits a niche in personallity (so far).
Being serious I like every character. I just get salty about Widowmaker because she is only there because "FPSs need snipers"
When every hero needs to be up close and personal. Widowmaker gets a free pass to not go anywhere near the battle to get kills
I like every character besides Symmetra.
I hope Symmetra gets a remade kit down the line.

Every character has a memorable ult: "Justice rains from abo-urghh," "Heroes never die!", "Teleporter online," etc.

I think Symettra would be helped if they upped the awkward.
Have her mumble to herself occasionally or make odd comments about heroes' appearance in spawn (tracer's hair being lop-sided, shit like that).
As of right now though, her characterisation in game is bare minimum. The only thing that really struck me about her whilst playing beta was that one highlight intro where she adjusts the camera.

Hanzo, Zenyatta, Lucio when your team is not pushing, and Torbjorn in some situations will also hang back and plink away.
Widow is fine, she provides a benefit of getting relatively safe picks for your team and keeps the enemy team on their toes, has one of the most useful ults, and is hard-countered to the point of basically not being able to do anything by Winston and on some maps, Roadhog as well.

As someone who did a lot of Roadhog, any good Widowmaker would be miles away from every tussle I ever got into. Reinhart's a better counter because he's a good distraction/frustration device.

That's why I said some maps. On maps where the engagement distances are short enough that the hook will reach, she can't really do anything about it except find a ledge that she can grapple on fast enough.
I just thought of something that struck me as kind of peculiar. Reaper has a condition that causes him to heal and decay at the exact same rate. Another (marvel) character has a condition that causes cancer to try and kill him as fast as his healing factor can heal him. Reaper is a poor man's Deadpool.
Talking about voice actors, I may switch to the Japanese voices only to hear Lucio Joestar and pretend to be a total weeb.
