every single time I go up against pro MLG trickshotting scrub lord quickscopers.
Night time on a weekday seems to be the ideal time for this. All the kiddies have to be in bed for school in the morning and all the entertaining misfits come out to play.
I dunno how to break it to you man so...I'll just let Alice cooper do it for me. Its only going to get worse.
Tracer is squishy as fuck. A <150 heal once every 12 seconds really shouldn't be a problem.
It's not just a heal though, it's a heal and an escape. At least Roadhog and 76 are vulnerable while they are healing themselves. Tracer can freely engage, do damage, and then escape with literally no consequence. God help you if a decent Tracer gets behind you because unless half the team breaks away to kill her she's pretty much free to do whatever unless you have one of the specific characters that counters her. It's almost the same issue with Mei's heal, there isn't any penalty or risk for using it unless you sit in the middle of the enemy team.
"Get out of jail free card" abilities are just annoying to play against in general. Reaper about to die? Nope just go Wraith Form and pick up some souls and heathkits. Tracer? Just completely disappear with all your health back. Mei? Yeah I think her's is well known to everyone here.
Remove every hero besides Genji.
at that point it's just Warframe
tracer should just be removed entirely, annoying personality, annoying voice, annoying to play against
Too bad she's pretty much "THE CHARACTER" Like heavy to tf2 she's Overwatch's "face"
Too bad she's pretty much "THE CHARACTER" Like heavy to tf2 she's Overwatch's "face"
Makes me kinda surprised that Widowmaker got the pre-order item instead of Tracer.
tracer should just be removed entirely, annoying personality, annoying voice, annoying to play against
arent you supposed to be dead, hitler?
I had no problem getting good teams in the open beta, but now I just get matched with people who don't even try to play the objective in the full game. Isn't this the opposite of what usually happens?
I think Mei's heal would be far less annoying if it was just a -75% damage or something while encased in ice. At least that way if she's too low and uses it in a bad spot you can still kill her.

If they're running for a health kit try to beat them to it and control it. He has some recovery lag while exiting L-shift where you can damage him, so unless you're a low DPS character that shouldn't even be fighting him head on you can kill him immediately after. Tracer needs her recall or else she'd be absolutely useless. She goes back 3 seconds in time; try to predict where she'll end up, and where she'll want to go after recalling, and fire at that location pre-emptively. Mei's is the only one I can agree with being pretty annoying, but there's still counterplay to it, and the time she's spending sitting in her ice block is time spent not doing anything for her team.
Junkrat is just too fun, damn.

While it's true Mei isn't doing much for her team while healing you'd be surprised how often people will just stop whatever they are doing to shoot at her iceblock, in some ways she's the ultimate distraction.
5 defeats in a row. Just amazing. They could do a bit better with the match making.

I don't mind that Reaper can go invincible. I mind that he can pick up health when he is invincible. That's what makes it annoying. It's REALLY hard to determine where a Tracer was 3 seconds ago. And even if you do know good luck getting to her before she is long gone with a full amount of health.
Like, it's not that the recall is OP in the sense that anyone can pick Tracer and never die. It's just easy as fuck to abuse if you have a bit of skill since there is very little that can counter it outside of two or three specific characters or precognition.
Next thread's banner
Whats the deal with D.Va?
Reminder that in pro overwatch matches Mei and Bastion are p.much the least used characters in the meta despite everyone claiming they are OP http://www.planetoverwatch.org/11-overwatch-hero-meta-report-the-grand-beta-review [t]http://i.imgur.com/vY4aVIm.png[/t] Raw Data https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hwKVCpoCa43imjfgAAQdUknjABo8m_TOYvI4KyAsbqQ/edit no balance changes since the Open beta, so this is still accurate. This suggests that mei should instead get buffs instead of nerfs, so she actually gets used since shes the least used character in the entire pro-scene. here's the longer version that goes before open beta balance patches with raw data https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_pzX1ATDgVeT2xtYkI4c240aFU/view
Whats the deal with D.Va?
She is best girl that's what.
Lose like 4 games in a row, twice disconnected for "Looking for more balanced game." Feels bad man.
At least Mei's heal leaves her unable to move, giving you ample time to either escape, heal, or set a trap (Junkrat is the perfect counter to Mei's heal btw), Tracer's heals her AND gets her out of the line of fire. Like, it could only be safer if it literally made her immune to damage for a short time afterwards.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/vY4aVIm.png[/t]
Zarya is so underrated there, but still highly used. People need to see how dangerous she is.
Zarya is so underrated there, but still highly used. People need to see how dangerous she is.
zarya is really powerful but my brain can't comprehend how her shields to weapon shit work.
zarya is really powerful but my brain can't comprehend how her shields to weapon shit work.
It's not hard, it's just the more damage her shields soak up the more damage her weapon does. The hardest part is just timing when to activate the shields since they last such a short time.
zarya is really powerful but my brain can't comprehend how her shields to weapon shit work.
Shoot shielded people, her weapon gets stronger. Zarya is a character who I can't play for shit but I love having on my team and hate fighting, her damage and team supporting shield make for a really strong combo.

It's just easy as fuck to abuse if you have a bit of skill since there is very little that can counter it outside of two or three specific characters or precognition.
Recall is a necessary evil for her character's design, as without it she'd be useless. If a Tracer is being super annoying and managing to get shit done while always zipping out of danger just in the nick of time, they're not abusing anything, they're just playing the character well. I've always found the biggest issue people have with Tracer is that they overestimate how much she can do. Unless she has an ult, there really is not much she can do against a big cluster of enemies. Your health will get whittled down a bit, sure, but it's nothing a decent support can't easily outheal.
yeah but her weapon is really weird as its either a short-range laser that feels like it does the same damage no matter what or a grenade launcher that only gets a tiny bit stronger, no matter how much im charged up her black hole though is really good.

Still though, if you can get just a couple team members focused on the reaper for when he drops shadow form, he can still go down fairly easily right after he drops it. He shouldn't be able to do too much damage, his shotties have a super slow fire rate.
