Is there a way to turn off All Chat?
Call me a wimp all you want, but games like this are much more enjoyable when I can't see what the enemy team is saying.
I remember playing her one time on Hamnara or whatever the fuck that pink tree'd map is. I sat the entire first control point sitting at control point B putting turrets down. All I was doing. I had 8 around the main door frame alone. It was worth it just to see the first guy in the door get insta melted
You can only have 6

I don't think I've seen all chat used by anyone but us other than a few lines and I'm level 20+. Granted we're always queuing as a team but still.

adding to this- after you've placed 6 turrets, you continue to regen more turrets to place, but placing a 7th will destroy the oldest existing turret.
counterpoint: it would take maybe 550 crates/5,500 games/450-900 hours of actual gameplay to unlock all the skins, provided a decent spread of randomness and rarity, with duplicates granting money to buy the rarest items, provided you hold off on buying any items until you have exactly enough money to just buy what's not unlocked yet
If you're super hype for a specific skin and just want to boost your chances to earn it (or more likely, gather the currency to buy it outright), a crate pack might be a decent dollar-for-hour savings to those who can afford it. $1/crate feels pretty high for an entirely random selection (especially given the dismal selection of crap I've gotten in my first 15 boxes, I wouldn't consider dropping 20 bucks knowing this is how it would go down on average), but as some people have said, lots of people have pretty limited playtime (often due to jobs/school/shared computer/whatever), and don't mind pushing some of that progression out the window so they can spend the little time they ARE playing with the skin they like. Same goes for competitive gamers and/or streamers who want to have a recognizable identity
speaking of recognition, somebody we were fighting last night recognized me as 'THE dai' and thanked me for my D.Va tutorial. Neat! I was playing junkrat and their team stomped us tho
This actually really bothers me as the type of person that likes to 100% games, it's not too big a deal because it's multiplayer but still.

You Americans are so much more talkative than us EU bunch, with us it's literal silence in the voip.

the hour count isn't too bad considered to the playtime a lot of people have in their other favorite games (I'm 3500h into GW2 and while I've 100%'d the available open world content [on a single character]), I'm far from completing a lot of side content, achievements, collections, etc. The big difference though, is there's a LOT of varied content to do, while I've literally experienced all overwatch has to offer in content just in the past day. The encounters may vary but it's the same locations and classes, no builds to vary, just raw skill and memory. I love the game but I'm afraid it may dull rather fast for a lot of people. The biggest hope is a steady flow of content over time

We're big happy jolly citizens of a country free and bright.
I don't know what EU is like but if it's anything like my BBC dramas there's a lot of mean people there.
Is there anyway to clear the chatlog? I wanna record one of my PoTGs
Is there anyway to clear the chatlog? I wanna record one of my PoTGs
No, there isn't in game. Can use use video software to edit it out if that's a possibility for you. Why bother with it, though?
do you really think thats based on nationality
I've heard a lot of Americans who played on EU after moving or vice versa say that, people think it's a mix of culture and language since in the EU we're a bit more socially inward plus everyone speaks a different language whereas USA is entirely English. Then again everyone in the EU knows some English so idk.
I played some CS:GO MMing with an EU friend on US servers, and visa versa, and they were amazed at how much US players talk and I was always annoyed as hell about how little chat was on the EU servers.
Yeah example number 1.
Idk why but people say 'Mericans are just more talkative.

I was just playing a match on Hollywood Attack as Soldier 76. I got 21 objective kills and I on fire for the entire match.

Not mentioning cp_orange and tons of idle maps. :v:
I really hope that the new characters are tanks and supports, Doomfist'll probably be a tank and for some reason people are thinking Sombra will be a 'support sniper' so idk. Fingers crossed.
Lionhardt was the skin I really wanted to get for Rein, and today I FINALLY got

Also, played with FP guys, and it was fun as hell.

:suicide: I want ranked already... Should be more competitive and fun games hopefully.
Can't tell you how many games I pick Mercy or Reinhardt only to have the rest of my team pick the entire offensive roster.

Oh boy, I can't wait to open up 10 more loot crates JUST LIKE THIS.
On the plus side, they have to run out of these stupid fucking sprays and give me money eventually.

it's 99% caused by just one person initiating talk, provided the group knows each other instead of being pubs

I try so hard but everyone just types in response, it's way worse than in CSGO. I'm a pretty talkative dude, but I have the worst voice and I'm quite self conscious about it.
