When you consider that they are only staying afloat because of that game, it isn't that much of a accolade.
The HL1 expansions were good too!
Never played HL1 or the expansions.
See this is stuff I don't get. Why is it good that Blizzard "killed the game"? Why are people celebrating it having low players?
Like, Blizzard's marketing tactics and Overwatch comparisons aside, all this means is that an okay game is doing poorly. Why's that good? Why should we be thankful for that? :v:
A lot of people are quite mad at Gearbox for perfectly understandable reasons, why wouldn't they be glad if Gearbox's products aren't doing well?

Because Gearbox is an awful company and seeing them get stomped on is wonderful
Much like how everyone celebrates whenever EA does something stupid and sets themselves on fire
Never played HL1 or the expansions.
You totally should man, grab them on Steam next time they're on sale.
HL1 is one of those games that's pretty important historically IMO and it's aged very well.

I probably should.
I got a lot of shit at work when I admitted I never played HL1 and never finished HL2 :v:

I can sorta understand that, I'm no fan of Gearbox and its practices, but as far as I know they haven't done anything terrible with Battleborn. Like if they put out another Colonial Marines level disaster in terms of quality and shady business crap and that did poorly, I'd get plenty of schadenfreude out of that. But when the devs do something good, that's... good.
Seeing them actually do something alright and having it do shitty just bothers me because it's another good game that's gonna probably end up down the tubes. Regardless of the developers past, when I see a decent game dying, that's shitty.
Battleborn is a crazy fun game. But yeah, it's riddled with gamebreaking bugs that haven't been fixed since release and the marketing for it was garbage. At least we have Overwatch to look forward to.

Because one should sometimes be willing to separate the past with the future. Battleborn is a legitimately good game and thus you should want it to do well. You should always want good games to do well because when good games do well, you're more likely to get more good games. You shouldn't bring personal grudges with companies into that. It's not like Colonial Marines.
Overwatch is alright I guess.

Gearbox's future consists of a unannounced Duke Nukem title and another Borderlands game. Pre-sequel was not well recieved.
I will give Gearbox one good thing they did and it was to let Telltale give us a great Telltale game, but that's about it.
However, I will state that I haven't played Battleborn. So take my opinion of Gearbox with a grain of salt. Again, I'd love to see Gearbox become what it once were (HL addons weren't bad!). But, it's not looking good for them.
Now back to more on topic things.
I'm really disappointed with all D.va skins, anyone else? There's nothing that really sticks for me other than her default "look".
Borderlands is dope though.
While simultaneously bullying a group of modders out of a contract with porting old Duke Nukem games, planning to George Lucas the hell out of said Duke Nukem games, and scamming money out of Sega for Colonial Marines and funneling cash to Borderlands 2 have done enough to put Gearbox on my naughty list. Borderlands and its sequels and spin-offs may the greatest games ever possibly conceived by man, but Randy Pitchford is a snake.
To be honest Battleborn always seemed like a bit of a mess to me. The gameplay has too much going on at once, the artstyle has too many little details and the character designs (some of which I like, such as Marquis and Orendi) don't mesh well together - each seemingly having their own slightly different blend of cartoony and realistic design.
But then again, this is coming from someone who doesn't much care for Gearbox's work or for mobas, so I guess I was predisposed to dislike it.
The HL1 expansions were good too!
Blue Shift was kinda meh. But it was not that bad tho.
Opposing Force was really fun, but that Race X was not so canon in HL universe iirc. :v:

Some fuckin' nerd game for nerds who even knows really
What's an Overwatch?
It's a military fire & movement support tactic. :v:
I heard its a game that only Weeaboos like because of waifus or something.

As someone who hates Borderlands and doesn't care much for Gearbox, I love Battleborn. It's an actually funny game with gameplay similar to Borderlands but with less bullet spongy enemies. Seriously if you can get it on a sale, do give it a try. It might just be up your alley.

Now, I'm all for second chances and all that, but here's the thing: Gearbox's shitty behaviour is not just in the past. They are continuing to be shitty in other ways, such as this whole Duke Nukem licence fiasco.
It's one thing to not support a company and want them to not do well because of a single incident years ago, and a completely different thing to not support them and want them to not do well because of continued, unrepentant shittiness.

Can I ask by who?
Because if it was the theatre, it could easily be a case of them trying to cover their asses after leaking info that was intended to remain secret.

There's probably a fan game out there called that.

I can't even find anything saying it's mistranslation.

Plus the sniper in this image doesn't look like Widowmaker at all.
