Imagine using your ultimate to kill 3 people.
What a waste of an ultimate.
An Ultimate isn't wasted because it doesn't get a team kill. If that Bastion/Mercy/Reinhardt setup is a vital part of their defense (if they're using 3/6 of their players on it IT ABSOLUTELY IS), your removal of it and refusing to let them set up again will be a great benefit to your team.

Next time I will write my sarcastic retort in nice big and bold letters.

except sentries dont get a massive shield wall to block demo's grenades or soldier's rockets.

We're going to see a new hero at the launch celebration.

Best one yet by far.
and by not shooting for 3 seconds
I found most Bastion players tend to panic shoot you if you get close and personal
which is countered by Reinhardt.
You are right, how do you counter that?
Genji is the better brother. There is no way you can convince me otherwise.
All characters become more effective the less effective your opponents are at dealing with them.
you're missing my point, what you are saying is true but what I'm saying is the heroes have different degrees of that
Mei being one with a large degree, same with Bastion
that's why everyone is crying about Bastion but you don't see him anywhere near high level play
Next time I will write my sarcastic retort in nice big and bold letters.
if it doesn't read sarcastic even after you say it was, you did a bad job
but also this is a great talking point to bring up, if your ult accomplishes a motive, even if you don't get a sick multikill play of the game, it's used well
Genji is the better brother. There is no way you can convince me otherwise.
Its definitely much less frustrating to die by Genjis than it is to die by doorway spamming Hanzos
Holy shit that was fantastic. Blizzard has done such a wonderful job in the lead up to this game.
Everyone says Bastian has no place in high-level play, but I disagree.
If you just sit in one spot until someone kills you, yeah that's not going to work, but if you actually move around and use strategy further than "sit here and hold M1", he can be great in high-level play too.
Bastion's ult is an amazing counter towards pushes. Oh all 6 enemies have been saving up ults and are now pushing with them? Lemme just BEEP BOOP and shit on that.

I thought I already estabilished myself as someone who's somewhat good at the game but I guess not.
Anyway, there are ways to cheat out both Junkrat's (muffling the sound by driving it into a wall) and Hanzo's (shooting through walls, spawn dragon) ults against good Bation+Reinhardt+Mercy.

hanzo can be heard across the map, junkrat's tire is still made of paper and you can hear his line.
Bastion can be a bit nasty if he's being combo'd with another hero, but if 2 or 3 players are dedicated to essentially operating as one super bastion, the team is going to be generally less effective overall, not to mention that clusters of enemies all remaining relatively stationary are fairly vulnerable to AoE attacks.
Bastion is only really a problem on specific map points. Otherwise he feels relatively balanced. That's why I think a small tweak to something like damage falloff would be enough.
Genji is the sane one, and didn't actually want to lead, but was forced to fight for it.
Krunkidile was 100% on point
Not quite.

I was hoping for something with the Taco Bucket but it didn't happen.

All he needs is a tiny bit of spread or damage fall off so at mid/long range the turret isn't a health shredder. Bastion is so utterly mediocre otherwise that he'd actually need some kind of buff to recon mode if they intended to nerf the turret hard.
And as others mentioned, yeah, they become increasingly more annoying with team support - but a team that is that dedicated to trying to make a Bastion turret OP is likely going to fall apart the second it's dead/disabled.

that was fucking fantastic
I was a hanzo fan before this and now I'm a huge hanzo fan now, both of them are just oozing with personality I fuckin' love it
making a hanzo avatar now

he definitely has the better moral compass as a character, but I think hanzo is still based

The moment they even move an inch is the moment where your team (unless they're brain dead and surprisingly enough even in open beta that was pretty rare) shits on them.
Just focus on the Bastion and he becomes a complete joke unless he's really good and constantly switches places (I've seen one such Bastion in the entire beta week)
That video was cheesy as all hell, but somehow that's what made it good!

Genji still my fav hero after short

Bastion is great for psychological area denial.
If you turn a corner and 300 bullets instantly breeze your face, you know you can't easily go that way again. This causes a breakup in strategy and discourages pushing from the other team.
I enjoy that Genji got to use his ultimate in a visually striking way instead of... pulling out his sword.
Seriously it's such a flashy move for nothing
pixar*
there's actually a huge distinction, Disney+3D isn't inherently Pixar's work, 'Disney Animation Studios' is the group that did Big Hero 6 (and recently zootopia), this looks like it took place right in San Fransokyo
