Wow, I just had a revelation. I was looking at my old snapmatic pics, and found my mugshot from two years ago when the current gen versions came out. I was level 196 then, and now I'm 405. I have no life.

About two 3 or 4 hour sessions a day can fill up a large warehouse, and that's with doing headhunter in between every other delivery.

I tried FiveReborn yesterday and it's great. Easy install and basically works perfectly (only 2 crashes were had in ~5 hours, one of them was trying to do a thing with a trainer so that might not even be related). Way more fun than GTA: Online once you get a trainer going

You can also enable a setting to change into your own character the moment you open its menu. All in-game of course. Dunno how reliant RPH is but it always asks you if it should create a backup folder of your current version(of the game), so if a mod-breaking update comes up, you can just tell RPH to downgrade to the previous version. You'll have to launch GTA 5 in offline-mod however from there on I think.

FiveReborn doesn't even utilize SC (at all) afaik

Yeah, unless they're not being fully transparent, FiveReborn has absolutely no communication with anything Rockstar-related. The only way Rockstar could ban is if they just guessed SC usernames based on ones that might have been seen in FR servers, but that would result in way too many false bans and couldn't easily be automated.

So right now FiveReborn is something like good old SAMP? Can't test it right now, but I sure will when I get home.

Right now it's more like GTA 4 free mode with the streamed mod support sort of like GMod.

is there pedestrian traffic in fivereborn? having a dead empty city is a turnoff for a lot of servers in samp unless its very well built

So basically right now you can only fuck around on the map, which is absolutely not bad for a v.1.0 release.
