I don't miss the clunky handling getting in the way of beating missions. Jesus fuck do I not miss that. Some of the chase and escape missions boiled down to pure luck if you had anything higher than console-level traffic density.
I feel like V is the better "game" and IV is the better simulator. Like, everything in V feels more arcadey while everything in IV wants to make your life hard. [editline]a[/editline] I like how I can look at the bottom of that comparison video's thumbnail and instantly know which one's which because one of them is brown.
one of them is brown
And the other is GTAIV :v: I jest, GTAV feels like a breath of fresh air after vanilla IV

But after a while of playing it, I had to admit that they hit the nail on the head in terms of how fun it is to drive. [editline]3rd July 2016[/editline] On a different note, can anyone tell me what the cause for this could be in FiveReborn? [t]http://i.imgur.com/uadqWmc.png[/t]
There are a lot of people who miss some of the smaller details in IV that were missing in V. I wouldn't go as far to say that either game is better than the other, but I definitely would love to see some of the stuff from IV in V.
I had a dream that Liberty City was ported to V and I played on it, only realized it wasn't real when I read this post. :frown:

Seriously though did no one at Rockstar test melee in multiplayer? It doesn't really work. It tries to have punch lasers but just doesn't and then you kinda just flail at enemies. You also don't do the proper attacks that will hit the enemy like... ever.

Try turning your DirectX down to 10.1 or 10.
Seriously though did no one at Rockstar test melee in multiplayer? It doesn't really work. The annoying thing with melee fights is that it tends to end in both parties waiting for the other to hit so they can dodge counter
What's your GPU? Try turning your DirectX down to 10.1 or 10.
I've got an R9 280X, and it's already on 10.1 anyway... but maybe it's a driver problem. I'll try updating them... thanks. Oh, by the way, vanilla GTA V works perfectly. edit: works on dx10. Weird.

well... not sure if he dreamed of it as an empty map tho

You could try DX11 with the shadows set to anything other than AMD CHS.
I was just dicking around in online and decided to test out my new bike. I honestly have no idea how i didn't die.
I honestly have no idea how i didn't die.
If videogames have taught me anything it's that you can fall any distance at any speed and be perfectly okay if you land in water even just a little
I was just dicking around in online and decided to test out my new bike. I honestly have no idea how i didn't die.
it's because you engaged yourself in a mini warp, causing that glitch where if you fly off of your bike, you will take near 0 damage on your first impact, no matter the fall distance you can literally fall off of the maze bank tower or even higher and you wouldn't get close to dying
Fuck this, haven't had a rare item or mission given by my assistant until I login today, go to the computer expecting to be able to buy it. NOPE GO FUCK YOURSELF, PUBLIC LOBBY BUG.
If it makes you feel better, I've had around two rare items purchases completely ruined by assholes. First one I had this guy constantly hunting me down with an Hydra. He made me spend around 15 minutes walking on foot through the subway line because he wanted to kill me despite being the only guy in the session besides him. At the end I had to give up the item and leave. Next time I couldn't make the purchase because a 4-man organization had two Hydras in the air and were hutting down everyone else. I decided to sit in my office and wait till they both got bored and leave but then the game had a connection error and I lost the item.
Rockstar seriously has no idea how full of cunts the community of GTAO is How did they think forcing this shit in public was a good idea It's not even a risk, it's basically just "What's the best way to fuck my funds over completely" [editline]5th July 2016[/editline] Especially since they thought it'd be a good idea to give everyone easy access to a near invincible set of cars (Armored Kuruma and Insurgent) and a fucking Homing Launcher at a very low level (Yet lock the normal rocket launcher behind rank 100, lolwat)
Despite the overwhelming amount of assholes, I've met some pretty nice people over the years. Encounters like that are one of the things that keep me playing tbh.

Finished my video for the contest. Doubt i'm going to win because of "modded content" but I hope I hid it well enough with the editing :shh:
that is true, the melee combat was excellent in GTA IV, but going out to say that its better then GTA V? i dunno, maybe i just have a unpopular opinion or something.
The fact that you can one-punch-kill anybody is weird as hell I say it all the time in this thread too but I liked the way cars handled more in IV. They didn't stick to the ground like the tires seep superglue and actually feel like they had some weight to them
They didn't stick to the ground like the tires seep superglue and actually feel like they had some weight to them
But at the same time, supercars and high-end sports cars are built to be exactly like that, and it would be weird if they weren't See the Infernus from GTAIV, which handled like its suspension was defective and its steering was floaty when compared to what you'd expect from a real Murcielago, one of Lamborghini's twitchiest ever [editline]t[/editline] IMO, low to mid end cars should feel like GTAIV when stock, and high to ultra high end are just fine with V's physics You'd be able to upgrade the former to feel like the latter, but stock they'd behave like you'd expect them to

You shouldn't be able to turn the wheel 100% to one side at 150mph and not skid or lose control at all but I mostly agree with you. Come to think about it, it's mostly the high speed physics that I'm not crazy about. Also the fact that getting into accidents in any vehicle feels like clinking two hotwheels cars together. I hate the fact that for some reason, broadsiding a car at max speed does nearly no damage (compared to IV) and most of the time barely puts a damper on the speed you're doing
You can't take turns or even curves anywhere close to that aggressively in V, even with an Entity or Osiris. Osiris throws a fit if you try to push it past 50 around a medium corner, and the Entity can only JUST handle 70 because of its absurd grip. Nothing monstrously outlandish like full-throttle at 100+, doing that will throw your ass into a wall no matter what you're driving. [editline]t[/editline] The feel is arcadey, yes, but not quite THAT much. You still need to follow proper lines and reduce speed for curves if you want to get anywhere without smashing your car on everything. It sounds like you're describing Cruisin' USA or Mario Kart, honestly :v:

I always end up either in first place by a considerable margin or upside down in a ditch while everyone passes me on the last corner using this method. it's incredibly arcadey
Are you doing LS or blaine county races? IE, city course with lots of curves and turns versus several miles of straightaways with like six turns. If it's the latter, well no wonder. Most supers races are highway races, where you generally can just floor it.
both. it works better in city courses than highway courses unless it's just a sprint along the grand ocean highway or something
what are you doing man
Not my doing. Blame Rockstar's youtube uploader which I sadly had to use. I re enabled the allow embedding so tell me if that fixed it.
