So my copy of GTA V has recently developed an issue where the world doesn't seem to load properly when driving fast. I moved V to my SSD (RIP 70GB of space) and yet it's still failing to load the world properly.
Any ideas?
I've been having the same issue, don't know what's causing it. it's supposed to be memory related but I have 16 gb
try messing with your page file or something

I used to have the same issue as well, but I set GTA V to high in the process manager, it works better now. Sometimes it'll lag youtube on my second monitor (which runs on integrated graphics) a bit, but the game works perfectly fine.

i'm starting to get this error too, entire buildings are starting to pop in and the game is actually stuttering occasionally now. i've got GTA installed on my SSD too.
my only guess is that rockstar messed up streaming assets from hard disks/SSDs with the new update, this wasn't happening before.

should i be proud of my purchase
It's weird, imo GTA V looks better with no ENB. You can mess with the contrast and stuff (or dark nights which I love) but all the "RealismV" overhauls just look like Instagram filters. It's GTA IV that really shines with the right tampering and merges, like with Icenhancer 3 merged over Natural & Realistic:

Can't go back to vanilla after that :v:. I still play it occasionally just to do some NYC tourism.
I really want to set up cool shaders in GTA IV properly and I think my machine can push it (well at 30fps anyway because muh port) but I never really figured out how to do it
Last time I tried installing Icenhancer I fucked up the shaders completely and Liberty City is pitch black
GTAV is honestly a fun experience, but you need someone with you for it and a way to be distracted from the massive grind that it is to participate in the new stuff

GTAV is fun if you add in your own roleplay element and invent gameplay
As autistic as it is to make such comparison it is pretty much a more fulfilling version of Second Life

GTA Online is fun so long as your goal isn't to make money or buy anything. If you just want to do a couple races or play a couple missions it's pretty fun (minus the awful lobby system and god awful load times.)

I'm honestly confused as to why Gold on guns doesn't look like that, like instead we have some flat as fuck looking bullshit.
I've played through all the stunt races now and the only one I can say that I dislike is city loops, because that one loop with the gap consistently fucks me over. I have literally lost every race on that track because of that gap. Otherwise if you're a good racer and get in some good lobbies the races are a fun way to earn cash, especially if you place in the top 3 in a full lobby.
GTA V is the most fun when you have money. I remember playing with my mates for 30min. having fun and after that we needed to grind again for 2h.
Honestly my favourite part of the update:

Hey can you tell me what clothes you used here?
I can't find that jacket/suit and I can't even combine a scarf and one of the new suits to go with it
do you still get banned for using FoV changers online? i can't handle the low first person fov inside my cars

That jacket it is one of the Motorcross ones they added. Should be under sports coats I think.
Has anyone else had difficulty finding a full public lobby? Every time I start up the game, I end up in an empty lobby, but my internet connection is fine so idk why.

Also, I've noticed that my character doesn't put their helmet on when they get on a motorcycle during a mission or heist. This update seems to have fucked up some things.

Except you die in .2 seconds in this whether it be from hackers or dumb nerds who have nothing better to do.
Ugh I tried to reinstall real cop cars for LSPDFR again but now they're crashing my game on launch. GTA modding literally the worst
[editline]17th July 2016[/editline]
All of the modders are trying to do their own thing and putting cars in slots where I don't want them (for example I downloaded a F-350 that goes in the Sheriff SUV slot but I already had an Explorer that I want in that slot so I had to put the F-350 in the park ranger SUV slot) so I have to try to manual edit things and probably broke something there.
[editline]17th July 2016[/editline]
Why can't modding in GTA be more like Arma where everyone just bases their work off of each other and it's essentially just plug and play?

I remember in GTA IV and SA there were car mod installers which were very useful but nothing like that for GTA V yet (aside from that Russian website)
GTA SA > GTA VC > GTA IV > GTA III > > GTA VCS > GTA LCS > GTA V > GTA CW > GTA 2 > GTA 1

I'm pretty sure the cause of my crashes is trying to overwrite the park ranger slot. It's a little stupid if that specific slot is causing crashes because I've replaced it before just fine, but whatever.

Its In jerseys or something iirc
Yeah I found it under sports jerseys, sadly I can't get the scarf to work on a male or female character
GTA SA > GTA VC > GTA IV > GTA III > > GTA VCS > GTA LCS > GTA V > GTA CW > GTA 2 > GTA 1
In terms of characters and story and I can't include the originals because I never played them, I'd rate them as
GTA IV > GTA VC > GTA SA > GTA LCS > GTA V > GTA III
In terms of gameplay however
GTA SA > GTA V > GTA IV > GTA LCS > GTA VC & III
Niko Bellic is still one of the most relateable video game protagonists I can think of.
Half of what he says just mirrors what the average GTA player would say in a situation like that, were there no fear of consequences. He's so very sick of everyone's shit.

Personally I think San Andreas had much more memorable characters than Vice City.
Much more memorable story too, the best thing is that the story in San Andreas combined characters from Vice City after the game's ending and provided backstory on the events of GTA III.
I found out why my game was crashing with mods. There's a new location where you're supposed to install mods to and half of the modders haven't updated their installation guides yet.
Also pro-tip do not install 4k vehicle textures unless you want your game to not load any LODs.

What sane person would make 4k texture for GTA V when the base game is heavy as fuck on vram
~muh graphic~ modders have no idea what resource management is sometime
[editline]18th July 2016[/editline]
Not pointing this statement at you but I would rather run the game in 4k than having a mod with 4k carseat leather crease if I have that much ram

Adding a few doesn't impact performance much, but when you replace every police vehicle with real ones and then get a skin pack for them (because GTA modders doing their own thing so none of the vehicles have matching skins by default) which gives them 10 different 4k textures just so they can have different unit numbers, then your game gets fucked. I fixed it by cutting them all down to 3-4 textures.
