Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V10 - Single Player DLC When?

I want boost and rocket powerups on the stunt tracks
Just imagine the shenanigans
Yesterday I witnessed the saddest and also the funniest thing I've ever seen in Stunt Races so far.
I was playing Stunt - Rally with a lot of players. At some point I reached 1st place and then noticed that there was still a guy in front of me, I thought the game might have fucked up or maybe the guy was lagging. I mean, the guy tried to ram me off the road and defend his position despite my game saying I was already 1st place.
It took a while before the guy realized he had skipped a previous checkpoint. By the time he hit Y to teleport back he went from being ahead of me to the last place, then the guy left because why even try.
I also saw the other last place getting DNF right in front of the finish line. I guess that must suck dick.
It's kinda shitty to join random missions just to always have that one fucker in his armored kuruma
What's fucking fun about sitting in your invincible car to autowin missions

Feeling almost invincible feels fun, and being the guy that dies in the mission really sucks.

But why even bother playing missions then if you're just gonna do them the cheap way
There's no point

People want to quickly and effectively complete a mission so they can get money faster, this also involves minimising the risk of dying by driving armoured cars
it's not a difficult concept to grasp

Rushing missions with an armored kuruma is not an efficient way to make money though. Mission payout is based off of how long the players take to finish a mission: the longer it takes, the higher the payout. That doesn't mean that it's a good idea to wait the full 16 minutes to get the maximum payout if you're grinding missions, but it does mean that rushing through missions is only going to fuck over your pay.

That's true but I don't think most people know that or can be bothered waiting doing nothing in the mission when they could just do another as soon as they finish it, also that pay increase with time doesn't apply to heist setups afaik
is it me or gta5mods.com is slow as fuck
404 Not Found, it's gta5-mods.com and no, it's not slow for me.

strange. the download speeds from there are horrible for me, maybe it's just me
I don't get why people die in Heist Setups. They're easy as fuck.
In fact, I don't understand why none of the crews I've played with are capable of completing the finale of Pacific Standard Heist. What the fuck is so difficult about driving from point A to point B with 5 star wanted level?
Grinding wouldn't be hard and tedious if it wasn't because 90% of the console population are too stupid to play.

I don't get the people who destroy the objective on purpose and then quit the mission on the second try.
That's great, everybody has to watch a loading screen for fucking 5 minutes. Good job wasting everybody's time including your own.
I usually get pretty lucky with heists. Nearly every random that I've done the PacStan Heist with knew about the kuruma method. At this point, they might as well make that the official way to do it :v:

This is the reason I only play headhunter and hostile takeover now.
I started thinking about the singleplayer DLC again. You guys think it's still possible?
GTAV Story Mode Updates. For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.
This was from 2013 :v:
Still, if it was happening, I wonder what they could do with it.
Wait R* actually said that?
If Rockstar ever releases a Story Mode DLC it will probably be like a glorified GTA:O update.
You buy it, install it, boot the game. Do like 10 new missions, purchase new cars and clothing then go back to Online.
Just think about what they did to Heists Update. It was basically do five heists, purchase new cars and clothing and then log off.
That's their method for all new content.
- Give sneak peak of new update
- Announce new feature
- Release new feature
- New accessories and clothing
- Announce double RP and Cash event with new feature playlist
Possibly dumb question... Were I to go to real LA, do you think I'd be able to find my way around using what I know of where Los Santos landmarks are relative to eachother?
I don't mean distance, I mean "Okay, I'm at X, that means Y should be west of here, and from there I can find Z"

More or less, biggest one I know of is that Griffith Observatory is on the wrong side of the Hollywood Sign. There's also a lot of stuff left out. Getty Center and the pier are crazy accurate though.
I already went to NYC after playing GTAIV, and boy was that a surreal as fuck experience.
Somehow I always managed to find my way back to a major landmark like times square or the flatiron building no matter how lost I got, just by scanning the skyline for anything vaguely familiar from LC and letting muscle memory take over.

I really, really want to visit NYC in real life, and that's part of why :v:. Visiting LA changed my perception of the game than it did the city though, now it's a cooler experience to reenact my path and see what they got right. Gotta love R*'s attention to detail.

Really? wow I thought I was the only one who did that during my visit to NYC.
Also I downloaded a few songs from Liberty Rock Radio, that made me pretty happy :v:
Obligatory "drive around Manhattan" theme:

I have the worst fucking luck with heists.
Especially the stupid fucking prison heist.
I haven't been able to get past it yet because someone always crashes every single fucking time during the actual heist, or the game fucks up and a jet doesn't spawn but the mission doesn't advance. Or multiple times the oh so lovely netcode just randomly decided "You're not connected anymore" and seperates the entire session.
Every fucking time.
Or you turn over control of the plane and because you were at a weird angle or were too low when you hit the marker, it thinks the plane stalled and fails you RIGHT AT THE VERY END.
A few regulars of this thread will know the incident I'm referring to.
I was going to get a respray for my dirtbike BF400 when I stumbled upon this black guy driving a blue Proto X. I thought he was going to kill me so I ran away, but then I hit a rock and fell to the ground, then the guy sent me a text saying "I don't want to kill u unless u want to kill me".
I called in my Luxury Helicopter and brought the guy to my yacht, then we both RP-ed and started to get drunk and had "sex" in one of the rooms, the game got really interesting after that. The guy brought me to Paleto Bay where he got a suit and I got a dress and we just got married in front of the church, then he took me for a honeymoon in his golden jet.
All of it happened in less than 30 minutes. He was a complete stranger and now he is my husband.
This wasn't mentioned in the tutorial
Every time someone invites me to their apartment, I get surrounded by people air thrusting, while my character just stands there facepalming.

Usually, males who wear matching/appropriate outfits and drive cars with neutral/non-hideous colors tend to be more likely to be friendly and ask you if you're a girl and probably take you in a virtual date. They're probably 16 - 25 year old dudes who are actually chill and don't kill on sight.
Their virtual dates are quite fun. You get to be in jets, luxury cars or supers.
Males with ugly outfits who drive hideous cars tend to be the ones who send you an apartment invitation and party invitation right away, they're likely to kill you or air-thrust you before asking you if you're a girl. They're children or manchildren. Their dates involve being inside an Insurgent and being air-thrusted (gang raped) by 10 dudes in their apartment. Basically a 3rd World Wedding.
