Why can't i use desaturated colors for crew colors on Social Club
I want to have a proper purple on my car but it never allows it and just goes to saturated bright bullshit
-snip oops-
It'd be fun to have Dreams or Flashbacks of being in 'nam where you're actually fighting there, gunning people down from a Huey or stealthing through some Jungle area at night.
Hotline Miami 2?
late sixties/early seventies where the protagonist just got out of nam.
nice funky 70's cop and robber type stuff. running over hippies and shit would be pretty funny.
70's america parody could definetly work
might not be as satirical, but this seems like it's gonna pretty close to what you want
I'd love to see an HD version of Vice. Hopefully in another 80s setting - but a couple of years before or after the setting of '86 in Vice City. The soundtrack would likely be killer again - something about the V soundtrack just doesn't quite cut it for me. It's good, but at the same it's just not quite as good as some of the other games. I think the HD engine could really do the colourful, neon 80s era proper justice.
an 80s version of las vegas would be pretty great, we had a taste in san andreas but since the HD san andreas now is not connected to that area it could stand alone in nevada now and they could setup a good game especially building off the jobs system they put up in gta V
An unfortunate yet awesome crash

sick pressure flip dude
That was surprising, I dealt with a GTA:O cheater for the first time in quite a while. Some guy was on a bicycle and blowing other players' cars up despite using only a pistol, so I went to run him over with my Insurgent. That did absolutely nothing to him, and then my Insurgent blew up after he shot at me a few times.
Man, the stunt races are fun, but they've also got some pretty huge bugs. Sometimes the countdown at the start glitches and just goes straight to "GO" and it catches you off guard. Also, sometimes the checkpoints don't work when you pass them. I was in first place, and when I passed a checkpoint, it didn't register, but I didn't realize it until I was well away from it. Fucked up the whole race.
Been working on a motorcycle stunt race and apparently fall damage is a thing in created races, which is weird since rockstar's races have no fall damage on bikes (Trench I is a good example of this). Is there a way to fix this?
why does nobody use the cars in motorcycle races? i was literally the only one and i knocked everybody off the tracks with ease and won
why does nobody use the cars in motorcycle races? i was literally the only one and i knocked everybody off the tracks with ease and won
Because they're faster than cars if you use them right and they're probably hoping that nobody is enough of an asshole to just ram them off the track.

Speaking of one shot explosions with a pistol, there's something I like to do that really fucks with people who don't know about it: on most cars there's a tiny spot in the driver side rear inner fender that will usually cause the car to explode immediately if you shoot it with the revolver or anything stronger, and if you practice you can hit it in one or two shots every time.
why does nobody use the cars in motorcycle races? i was literally the only one and i knocked everybody off the tracks with ease and won
because bikes are faster and ramming is for children
Even though ramming is a pretty dick move, it's satisfying as fuck to knock someone out of first place at the last second and win the race.
why does nobody use the cars in motorcycle races? i was literally the only one and i knocked everybody off the tracks with ease and won
Because not everyone wants to act like a dick weed.
Racing in a pub, its ramming or being rammed most of the time. Even at bike-only races I get knocked over and off the tracks by pubs
Just a heads-up, I've changed my RGSC name to SamHatley. I'm still me, just more clearly me. Should probably update that on the OP's google doc.
Also here's an amazing selfie I took with Nickolas.

"I'm a bad driver so I have to be a dick to win races"
Aggressive racers are one of the core reasons I used to love the Entity in supers races. That thing was heavy as shit compared to all but two others supers at the time, so if someone in a T20 or a Zentorno tried to pit me, all I'd have to do is steer hard into them to spin them out instead. Worked every single time.
And then everyone would accuse ME of ramming, since I was the only one who never got shoved off the track the whole race. :why:
[editline]t[/editline]
For those who want to abuse vehicle weight like that now, best super to do that with is the ETR1, heaviest top sports car is the Massacro Racecar, and the biggest muscle is a toss-up between the Dominator Racecar and Dukes.
Massacro Racecar and Dukes in particular just shrug off so much punishment, it's insane. Unless you've fallen asleep, nothing else will be able to pit you.
if you don't want to get rammed off, you should probably consider a non-contact race
aggressive driving flows within the nature of the game, plus if you're the only one with a big tough rig, nobody can resist ramming those puny motorcycles out of your way while you speed towards victory
additionally the dirt track pieces are tight as hell, you can't even avoid hitting anyone out of your way
if you know how to drive them well, the trucks are much faster than any of the motorcycles, as their stats are better and they especially win from them by a landslide with acceleration
motorcycles may have better grip on the road, but grip means nothing if you have to brake in most turns, while the race trucks don't have to slow down at all in any of the corners
All motorcycles get roughly a 270% engine power increase while wheelying. Someone with a decent bike who knows how to wheelie at the right time will always beat a four wheeled vehicle on a medium-long straight.
Plus, being smaller, they can hold tighter to racing lines and cut much more closely to corners, meaning the total distance they actually travel on the same track is less than a four wheeled vehicle.
Literally the only downside to bikes in a racing situation is the fact you can fall off. In a non-contact offroad race with all skill levels being equal, nothing will beat the BF400.

non-contact makes it less about driver skill and more about who brought the fastest car though. I refuse to ram out of principle, but blocking is totally kosher, and trying to pass someone who's blocking you is a whole hell of a lot of fun.
I can guarantee me on a bf400 and you in a trophy truck or whatever in a non-contact drag race I would win every single time
Somehow i got rid of a max wanted level just by sitting in a back room meleeing cops

Most of the bodies despawned but there were a shitton of them
Yeah, a big map isn't so good if it feels empty and lifeless. I wouldn't complain at all if the next GTA game had a map the same size as V, so long as they flesh it out more.
There's a lot of things to hate about GTAV, but I don't think the map is one of them. It personally one of my favorite maps ever, and pretty much one of, if not the best open world maps to date.

I'm not shitting on V's map at all, it's great but my point is that if they were to make the map bigger in the next installment, I hope they don't sacrifice detail for a larger scale. Because usually you have to choose between one or the other
Nick isn't wearing a white suit and white hair. This is heretical.

Arbitrary code execution has made an appearance in Vice City, it seems.
V's map is pretty awful to be honest. Everything's so cramped together that it makes absolutely no sense. There is pretty much no area in the game that's there just because it would fit, it's there because they tried to mash so many flavors together for the sake of map ~diversity~. Oh look, there's the city, oh look, right next to it green hills, next to that, desert, next to that canyons and crevices, next to that, giant fucking mountain.
And my favorite part; the fucking highway.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/TZhHnSS.jpg[/t]
A.K.A. the most retarded way how to get from one city end to the other. It serves no purpose for that highway to exist what so ever besides player having a road where to take test out their cars on.
Yeah, yeah, gameplay > realism. But suspension of belief is kind of important too and R* made sure to fuck that one up horrendously. They should've stuck with one overall theme for the country side instead of trying to mash everything together.
It's almost on the same level as Fallout NV vs Fallout 4 map design, where one, while maybe a bit bland, gave almost every location a purpose to exist and story. Fallout 4 is just sprinkled with locations and caves to explore to always have something explore which in the end, makes he exploration boring and uninteresting.
tl;dr Less is sometimes more.
I don't think map diversity is the problem, but that you can't walk 5 feet without bumping into a landmark. There's no empty or boring places, which sounds great on paper but probably wasn't meant for a few hundred hours of playtime. Even SA's wilderness felt huge because tech limitations stopped them from having landmarks, lol. There's almost no residential now either.
I've ranted about this in discord but I'll do it here too I suppose. I think Rockstar needs to look at The Crew when it comes to designing their open worlds. The Crew had unique/landmark areas spread over a much larger map and was fun as shit to drive all over, granted it should be because car game but in a sense GTAV is very much a car game at this point. The drives between the cities in The Crew were actually fun. Giant open spaces to take your cars for a fast drive, or actual highway police chases. Rockstar's map philosophy kinda confirms they don't think travelling is any fun, like Turtleey said, there are landmarks everywhere when there doesn't need to be, it creates horrible repetition when driving around, IV and V suffer from this. Look at the map, there's unique areas that can be used for tonnes of setpiece missions in a GTA game.
Besides, with a lack of interesting interiors and interesting things to do outside of missions, a bigger and better open world has to compensate, no?
