I kinda wish Rockstar added stuff like ballistic knee protectors, custom ballistic vests with colors and crew emblems and those things people in movies use to carry guns and shit. It would be really cool if equipping one of those items allowed you to change your weapon switch animation, even speed it up (like have your character open their jacket and bring out their gun or the gun just materializes in their back and they grab it) and if knee protectors reduced fall damage.

Does anyone do normal races since Cunning Stunts came out? I tried to get in some regular races and all I got were people boosting on one lap criminal records.

It probably doesn't help that double cash and RP is active on them for this week's event.

Apparently rumors have been going around that Rockstar is temporarily stopping character transfers to prevent modded accounts.

Over the past 4 hours I've been trying to complete the prison heist finale. While I didn't die a single time, the pub players I've been playing with did a lot. -At first I was playing with an inexperienced prison guard who managed to die 2 times in the prison and quit. After this a real pro joined and in the next 2 hours both me and this guy didn't die a single time. -I rehosted with the guard and 2 random pubs and we almost completed the heist in one go. We made it into the plane in one go. But at the very end of the heist, sadly the plane pilot got killed while parachuting to the beach. I saw him accelerating when he was nearly at the ground and he smashed into the cliffs near the beach. Everyone raged out but I persuaded the prison guard, the real pro, who also used his mic to coordinate, to stay. After this I rehosted and got 2 new pilots into my crew who I first asked if they knew how to pilot their vehicles. Both said yes, so I gave everyone a 20% cut. In the next 2 hours: -The plane pilot got shot down by a jet atleast 5 times. Ending the heist at random times for me and the guard during the prison shootout. -The heli pilot, who has the easiest role by far, and shouldn't really die, died 2 times for some reason. -The plane pilot tried landing on a road instead of sandy shores airfield when we got out of the prison the first time but failed to land on the road and crashed. -We got into the plane at the airfield, but the plane pilot forgot to press X and duck while landing and got shot while on the ground. -We managed to get into the plane and the plane accelerated into a police car and exploded while trying to take off. - Then finally, after like 8 tries that each lasted about 15 minutes, we all made it into the plane. The pilot almost crashed into a car again while taking off but he made it. It took a long time for him to shake the cops, but he did it. he Carefully approached the parachuting zone. The prison guard was singing in his mic from happiness. Everyone succesfully jumped out of the plane and I saw everyone opening their parachutes very safely away from the beach over the water, gently parachuting to the beach. in front of me, I saw the helicopter sluggishly flying to the beach , and it didn't slow down. He collided head on with the cliff and exploded. The prison guard screamed the most awful curses I've heard in quite some time. Everyone left and after 4 hours I still didn't have the 200K payout of the heist.

And once again rockstar is gonna mess up their online Because people totally don't want to have enough money to actually afford new updates, right!? I don't really support the use of modded accounts but their reasons for doing it is valid

I'm OK with people modding their accounts to get money, but when they max out their level, that sucks, because nobody knows who got their level legitimately or not. The other day during a heist setup, the host messaged me saying "you get 0% since you're a high level", and I messaged him back with "lol no" and left.

Since V is on sale, I don't mind the price right now, I played it on release for 360 and beat it and a little on PS4 and have like 4 hours of online when it came out. Should I get it?

Ammo is the main reason I don't pick fights in Free Roam. Gunfights are bullshit so I setup traps and use explosives 90% of the time. People always call me out for blowing them up during fights instead of bringing a gun. It's called using your brain. My objective is to kill people who attack me, if blowing them up with a rocket launcher or setting up a trip mine is enough to fulfill that objective then I'm gonna do it. If I wanted to prove that I have cykablyat-tier accuracy and that I got a PhD in pressing the combat roll button then I would probably go to a firing range.

I stay away from PvP as much as possible. It's broken as hell, in assisted aim at least. I don't want to do free aim though because fuck aiming with a controller. I'm in passive mode about 95% of the time, and when I'm not, I feel exposed everywhere I go. I can't do a whole lot of competitive shit because it gives me anxiety. I just stick with co-op.

Most players will just say "1v1 me heavy sniper on beach" because it's the only weapon they're good at, as soon as you get too close they either RPG you or suicide to deny the kill whilst talking shit to you the entire time. However if you're good enough to still kill them they lose their shit. Oh my god. The fact the steam controller lets you use both gyro aim AND lock-on / assisted targeting in GTAO feels like cheating. Dirty, dirty cheating. The downside to controllers always used to be shitty sniping, while going mouse and keyboard meant you can't just press L and aim up a little for consistent free headshots. As long as you set the right pad and gyro to "mouse-like joystick" and set your matchmaking aim type to auto, you suddenly have both benefits with no real downside that I've seen, aside from a little learning curve and the camera constantly auto-centering in vehicles.
