Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V10 - Single Player DLC When?
Speaking of which, what actually causes that? Is it CPU load, RAM load, VRAM, or something else? Because when I have too many high detail cars installed and they're all in traffic I get pretty bad pop-in, but it's fine if they aren't in traffic. That leads me to believe it's probably the polygon counts/drawcall counts that make it bad, but I'm not 100%. I have the game installed on a high end M2 so I'm pretty sure it's not the streaming or bandwidth that causes it.
I had a Titan Black and if I installed it on my SSD the texture loss wasn't an issue but it lagged and the performance was shit. If I put it on my HD it ran better but I had texture pop in. When I got my 1080 the same was true but installed in HD it works great now, the newest driver may have had something to do with it as well.
I don't know what causes the pop-in but it is probably custom vehicles.

Just got the game again for PC , how's the modding community? Last I heard (like last year when it came out ) that R* was pretty strict on modding abilities

No modding online, SP is still kind of iffy apparently.
Yeah I imagined for MP honestly. I stopped with it after seeing how toxic(?) it was on 360, I imagine it hasn't gotten any better?
Well for whatever there is, is there anything worth trying?
The only modding worth doing is LSPDFR and it makes your game radioactive for Online which I don't care about because online is mostly pay-wall and grindfest stuff.
It's relatively stable until Rockstar releases new updates which always breaks everything.
Can attest, LSDP:FR is awesome. Also highly recommend that Euphoria Ragdoll Overhaul mod, makes the NPC reactions to bullets so much more satisfying and realistic.
I have almost 300 hours in GTA5 and I'd estimate close to 80% of that time was spent in LSPDFR.
- I dunno why I even try -
I don't know who would fall for that.

Yeah.
That pick looks pretty retarded, Rockstar always manges to pull off amazing car pics even if the car sucks ass in-game.
Font is wrong, size is wrong
Plus, it's a plastic surgery update is what everyone and everyone knows that Rockstar never releases what people wants.
wow, thats alot of negativity for a joke.
Ho-lee shit. GTA IV on PC is a fucking nightmare.
Oh, I've known the port is shitty since it came out in December 2008, but it's been almost 8 years, and it still manages to suprise me every fucking time I play it.
So I installed EFLC, maxed it out, tried running the game at 1440p, Minimum is around 40 frames per second, however, it mostly stays at 48-53 - not surprising, right? Lowering it to 1080p adds about 8 FPS - weird, considering the pixel count. But wait till you get a load of this: playing at 5k (DSR x2.0 on a 1440p monitor) is basically stable 40 FPS in the city.
That's 55fps at 1080p and 40fps at 5k. Five. Fucking. Kay.
Also, the engine shits itself when there's more than 2 gigs of VRAM, meaning, you can't change any graphical settings in this case, you have to use specific launch commands in orded to do that. But, honestly, that's sort of okay, at least it makes sense on a surface level and you can fix this. You can't fix the performance that's all over the place

What was the post?
What was the post?
Sloppily made fake "leak" for joking purposes between friends that everyone and their grandma got their panties in a bunch over for some reason.
I mean I only put an hour into it total, over two days. The image I used for the preview wasn't even mine to begin with.
Whatever, just forget about it. I dunno what I was expecting :v:
I guess it's just because it's something people have been hoping for for quite some time
When some fake image comes along it's no miracle that people would be a bit upset
Although it is a bit dumb to be upset about something which is clearly explained to be fake in the first place.
Yeah fuck that lmao.
Who cares? He made it as a joke to mess with one of his buddies, maybe it wasn't perfectly executed, lets move on. It really doesn't seem like its worth getting this upset over.
On another note I think GTA 5 needs nigerian prince scams, where you can send over shitloads of your money to a nigerian prince for a .5% chance that you get like 1 billion back. If you don't get your 1 bil you lose everything it'd be a nice risk reward system.
I only complained once, I don't get how it managed to affect the next 5 posts after that.
Back on topic.
If you're going to send shitloads of money over a .5% chance then tey might as well let us play the lotto.
It would be cool if we could hire NPC enforcers for our organization in GTA Online.
Like, you could pay someone a certain salary so they can do crate runs for you.
Honestly, I think the game game misses the ball at building organizations with other players.
Hiring associates sucks dick most of the time.
1) Payout sucks dick so they are not motivated to help you out through difficult moments
2) PvP isn't exactly the best feature of GTA. The game is extremely unbalanced to the point where people need to play alone in order to make decent amount of cash.
.5% chance

nice risk reward system.
This is how Take-Two thinks.
[editline]a[/editline]
Also what's with everyone freaking out about that fake pic like it's getting some massive amount of hate
like the post got 13 dumbs and like 3 posts complaining about it, it didn't cause a 3-page uproar of "WOW NICE TRY FUCKER" or anything like that

So literally how RNG cases works in every other game ever? Yeah, no thanks, shit is annoying enough as it is.

iirc what causes the most issues in that game is cpu and disk speed, as well as specific cpu+gpu combinations, the gpus themselves have been able to max it out for quite some time now hence the small fps difference between resolutions
Sold my Osiris whilst the X80 is 25% off. Now I have my own Batmobile.
Why would you sell such a beautiful car

it's not bad looking but it doesn't really fill a niche, it was released as a do anything supercar and now there are 5 do anything supers that are faster
[editline]25th August 2016[/editline]
I'd sure as shit take it over a t20 though that is one ugly fucker. same with the re7b, it's just a lemans car which is fine but then they went and fucked it up with goofy taillight placement. though the x80 looks pretty rad in a lamborghini type of way, where it looks like an aerodynamicist drew up the basic concept and then gave it to a 10 year old who proceeded to add sharp angles, massive canards, and huge vents
flavor of the month matchbox toys to keep people coming back to their multiplayer
[editline]25th August 2016[/editline]
theyre like hats at this point
Still no proper Skyline though

:(
I wish they'd add more cars that fill a niche like it was pre next gen. like the adder was the obvious choice for highway races but was kinda miserable with corners while the voltic was useless at high speed races but was top of class for acceleration and cornering, and the entity was the do everything car but was outclassed in highway races or races with lots of tight corners.
now days everything is just a straight upgrade with no drawbacks. I guess that's a good way to sell shark cards.
they sorta stepped in the right direction with the omnis and the tropos since now we have 2 sports cars that are super fast off road but not great on asphalt but then they also went and released the tyrus in the same update
I want more really good classic cars. All the modern stuff is nice, and the Tropos was a step in a good direction, but I wouldn't mind seeing at least a few more things from the 30s-50s.
And not just looks, have them be competitive with the Stirling GT. Give us classic one-seat race machines like the Maserati 250F or Jaguar D-Type.
I just want more JDM tuner type cars. The Sultan RS was a step in the right direction there, but it's fucking retarded that it's in the super class.
