Because it makes other people not have fun? Unless you don't care about that, then yeah, you're a dick.

I won't tell you how to have fun, I'll just tell you to find a different way of having fun, if one of those ways involves quitting out then that works for me.
I mean i personaly don't kill in free roam unless shot at, that's what other gamemodes are for but yeah, i guess so
it's free roam
you are free to kill, you are also free to not kill
courtesy is kind of irrelevant, especially considering the playerbase on average

poor fella
I just noticed that they moved the "kill yourself" option up one spot on the list, and moved "passive mode" to the bottom. That's actually pretty awesome. I guess they did it so people wouldn't keep killing themselves on purpose when they're almost dead. Doesn't completely solve the problem, but it helps.
I mean, it's people's fault for being scary in first place. I never go off my way to kill anyone, I kill them because they get too close to me and there is no possible way for me to know wether they're going to try to hurt me or not.
I kill them over and over and destroy their cargo because that's enough to win the imaginary war that exists withing my head.
If they get a lucky kill or blow up one of my crates, that means so little when I got 10 more kills on them and I made them lose over $200,000 in cargo.
Maybe this is why nobody likes me :(
Good thing I've never encountered you then.
If you don't want to get shot at in random pubs, turn on passive
It's there for that reason
Also Hatley is a legally permitted cunt so i don't see the problem
Meanwhile I just fly around giving people rides in the slav-copter.
Also, rockstar pls buff savage. Nothing quite like hearing the lock on of doom and dying before you you even get a chance to fully bail. (I'm not asking for anything crazy, just a teensy health buff so the thing starts immediately going down in flames instead of instantly exploding when hit by the lock on.)
Honestly the thing is barely an upgrade from the buzzard seeing as the only major upgrade(s) are the rocket magazine size removal and the explosive bullets. The latter of which are not terribly useful since they don't seem to explode past a certain distance and because the pitch/wobble of the savage is fucking awful. (I'm relatively certain they aren't exploding because cars aren't exploding when hit at range).
Even with the admittedly op rockets, the health of the damn thing is pathetically low when its supposed to be basically a flying tank. Size is also problematic too as you become a giant bullet magnet.
Oh and did I mention the solid invincibilium main rotor (I destroyed the rear on a non solid bush one time) that flips the thing if you get even close to touching a lightpost?
If you want to shoot everyone on sight, that's perfectly fine, just don't do what most pubs do and complain when people return the favor. It's ridiculous how many people in this game will start shit and then complain in chat when someone fights back successfully.
I just experienced something weird in GTA Online.
I was doing missions on my own and then some guy from my friendlist joined as an spectator, he got really excited by the way I played (I generally try to complete missions taking 0 damage, so I take cover and snipe everything).
We played together for a while and then we went into Free Mode, this is where things got weird.
He told me to get into his car and then he took me to the nearest Suburban Store, once in there he told me to change my outfit.
While I do missions I like to wear a Desert Combat Outfit I made up for my character, it looks kinda pretty with the beret and the armor. For Free Mode I wear a desert scarf, a tucked white t-shirt, a pair of desert/leopard shorts and wear jewerly.
I switched to a dress I like and then he said "No, I don't want you to wear a dress". So I switched to my shorts and casual shirt and he again complained about it being too revealing and "ugly". I switched to my desert combat outfit and he said "That's okay".
He would get mad if I showed my body in public, like he would tell me to switch back to my soldier outfit if I tried to wear shorts or skirt.
He also forced me to drive but he was directing me all the way.
I was only allowed to switch outfits inside his apartment, he pointed at the bed with his fingers and said "You need to take a nap", then he told me to switch to my underwear and I had to sleep in the bed while he was showering. If I tried to leave he complained and asked me where the fuck I was going.
He would legit go apeshit if I tried to leave the apt in underwear, I was instructed to wear armor or something that kept my body covered.
Guys, send help.

You've either found an isis member or a control freak.

How about you just drive away from him and don't humour him. If he remains persistently annoying, remove him as a friend.

I get the impression you low-key enjoy being dominated.
Too bad you're on console, or else I could show him my purple nips ;)

I just discovered that the bank robber song I mentioned a few weeks ago was actually a self radio song I had accidentally included.
it's this: http://exabyte.bandcamp.com/track/id-like-to-make-a-withdrawal-ft-lonemoon
Apparently there's a Bahama Mama's shirt that you can unlock this week. Maybe we're finally going to be able to access the club soon?
I just want to take drugs and have hallucinations
I just want to take drugs and have hallucinations
Yeah, it's kinda dumb that even though you can get really high end penthouse apartments, you still have that goofy looking bong sitting on your table. They should've made it so if you get the low-end apartments, you can smoke meth, in normal apartments, you can smoke weed, and in the high-end apartments, you can snort coke. I think the closest we're going to get to that is having cocaine and molly scattered around your office from CEO work.
Does anyone own an Obey Tailgater? I just bought one and I just remembered how fun that car is and how very few people drive it.

Yup. I've bought and sold a few but at no point since GTA Online's launch have I completely been without a Tailgater in a garage.

It always really bothered me that there are mechanics for crash landing and gliding and spinning out and all that yet you get hit by a single rocket and instantly explode. Would really make getting shot down a lot less aggravating if you still had somewhat of a chance
[editline]3rd September 2016[/editline]
And honestly the Savage should definitely be able to take a rocket and still fly away in critical condition
It'd be great if the homing launcher couldn't do a 180 after it misses you and hit you in the back
Is there a way to download my retail copy instead of having to install it from the disc? I keep breaking it with mods and my optical drive is so goddamn slow compared to downloading shit from Steam at 10mbps.

There should be some kind of recovery option in the game, but that might be exclusive to the Rockstar download version.
Also, for mods, read up on how to use OpenIV's mods folder. You'll never touch the base game files if you use that, only copies of them, so you'll avoid the problem in future.

I saw that was a thing, but it was after I broke it last time. I'll have to look into it again for this install. All I had was LSPD:FR, ERO and a sound mod, but apparently the game managed to sneak an update in and it broke everything. :c

It'll still break when a new update comes out, but all you need to do is put the newer update.rpf in your mods folder, either backing up your mods beforehand or just starting afresh with that file.

i've retired to a life of fun in the sun
shouts out to rockstar for making surfboard props sink to the bottom of the ocean for some reason
How do I play online again after modding the game? I removed everything from the games folder except the rpf files and the updates. Then I verified the cache, Social club is still permanently offline and I cannot get it back online again...
Turns out it automatically added a windows firewall entry that I had to remove.
