God damn, there's a lot of technique to fighting on Xbone apparently. Hard locking, side stepping, Houdini, you god damn name it. Hard locking and side stepping seems easy enough, also ninja walking seems to work rather well for run & gunning.
There is ? I don't even roll since I forget to use it and other shit like that. I usually just hide behind a car or cover somewhere and pop in and out.
What car is this? It sounds so good.
I think its a banshee.

Discount Master Miller!? What are you doing here?
There is ? I don't even roll since I forget to use it and other shit like that. my advanced combat technique is "go off the radar and hit them with the golf club"
mine is snipe from a mile away
On the subject of sniping, today I realised that everybody else isn't incredibly talented quickscope gods, they just use the marksman rifle, which is why they're able to take 50 shots in the space of me firing 2 with the sniper rifle.
I've bought one now, seems crazy OP
I'm better with the heavy sniper personally. marksman is good in direct combat if you can pull headshots with it but I tend to avoid direct combat
Marksman rifle isn't as OP as people say, they get scared if they get hit by a heavy sniper. I'm not too fussed about getting hit by a marksman because I know it'll take more than 1 shot to kill me.
Marksman will tear you apart if you're not wearing armor and the user has good aim, and it's much harder to avoid its fire by strafing like you normally would in a sniper fight due to the high rate of fire.
In a sniper versus sniper situation, if both players are equally good and the heavy user misses their first shot, the marksman user will win.
The only downside of Marksman Rifle is that you can't even zoom in.
I guess I pushed him too hard

I'm trying to reach 14,000,000 doing only VIP work and contact missions, I'm halfway there with 7,500,000.
Heists are no longer profitable for me unless I'm playing with experienced people. Payment is low and it isn't worth it compared to the amount of attempts it takes for the average player to complete the heist. I feel like Heists are just a 100% loss for me, I lose time, ammo and body armor.
I don't go after bounties unless the payment is above 5000 and the player is below rank 50. Less than $5000 is just pocket change, high level players with bounties are, in most cases, just bait (they get bounties put on themselves so they can kill you as you approach), above rank 150+ is suicide and waste of cash.
Free Mode events are fun ways to make cash, but a few them are not worth playing at all.
KOTH is just a glorified deathmatch, I'll probably end up wasting more money on ammo than what I'll make on it.
Executive Search and Piracy are the same thing as bounties, it's just all bait, it's only profitable if you have a MASSIVE advantage over the people who start them (i.e they are less than you or don't have access to the same guns).
Hold The Wheel is not worth doing at all unless the session has very few people on it. Other than that it's just bait.

For how long have you been playing?
Rhino Hunt might possibly be the most poorly designed Game Mode in history.
Let's get two people in tanks against 6 people in cars who can only use sticky bombs. Oh and lets make the cars die in one hit, while the tanks can shoot people from 4 times the distance that sticky bombs can be thrown.
Played each map once. Every time tanks won with still over 75% of their health. With the tank players having 20+ kills each.
They either need to let the hunters use a vehicle that can at least take one shot before dying. Add a delay to the Tanks missiles. Or make the tanks have to drive between objectives to stop them from just sitting still and waiting for the hunters to drive into shooting range.
yea fuck rockstar support, i asked them for a parachute bag return. Firstly the gave me the parachute bag itself and later i explained that they failed hard, they said that the bag was limited time and they can't give it back. Yea fuck you too, all i wanted is my High Flyer parachute bag back
out of pure curiosity, I clicked the buy button on the 2.2m$ champagne helicopter to see what colors it came in
it doesn't come in colors. there's only one color.
anyway, can you sell helicopters?

Nope, once you buy one your stuck with it.
Same with all Pegasus vehicles.
never do VIP work in a public session

I've played GTA:O some time after it became "stable" (I got in time when they were handing out 500K stimulus packages, bought my first high end apartment at rank 30 with my very first character).
I was unsatisfied with my character, first one looked OK, I reached rank 50 with her but then I felt she looked weird and decided to make a new one. Second looked "like a dude" and after my brother said that I just could not unsee it, I went from 0 to rank 150 with her, then I made a definitive new character which was perfect, it's the one I'm using right now and is rank 280.
Out of all my in real life friends, I'm the only one who genuinely likes playing GTA:O since many of them think it's boring and shitty.
I made my first million by just duping Adders back when Rockstar wasn't fully aware of the duping (or they probably didn't care enough).
I got my two million just by doing contact missions and selling cars. I felt powerful with my two million because back in time the most expensive thing was the Zentorno. Eventually they added stuff like the Osiris, T20, Heists came out and then the Hydra, the Savage and more stuff that turned my two million in just spare change. I stopped being rich since having two million was more like a "default" amount according to Rockstar.
Yachts are the cherry on top, the Yacht I want with the right upgrades will cost me more than 10,000,000. I also want a T20 and that will cost me a lot more millions.
I played every heist as any position as crew member, never managed to host beyond the second heist because GTA:O has a really, really awful matchmaking. People join jobs and take places they don't want, to earn cash they aren't satisfied enough with and then leave so they can waste the time other people don't have.
It gets to the point where the game becomes no fun. Free Roam is fun to play but it's a cash grinder. I don't fight people who go after me, not because I can't, but because if I do I'll lose money on ammo, plus I lose cash when I have to blow up other people's car just to stop them. I rarely set bounties and when I do it's always below $5000 (too little to go into a solo session but enough for people to be willing to kill you).
If you find me in a Public Session you'll see I'm under VIP protection most of the time, but most cases I'm all by myself because most of the bodyguards I hire are just not good enough. I cannot trust them to do a VIP Work for me because I know they'll get shred to bits by other players, let's not talk about rival organizations. Doing VIP Work when another organization is around is just looking for a deathwish. My rivals are usually hard as fuck to kill and pull off the most bullshit tactics while my guards are all sitting ducks. The most powerful vehicle I have is the Savage and I can rarely use it since the Homing Launcher exist and shit is hard to avoid.

You could do Hostile Take over in an invite only session and make 20,000 in a few minutes.
Or you could end up like me, spending nearly half an hour sitting at an hangar killing the same 5 players over and over without being able to escape because they just want to take the briefcase. $20,000 and a bunch of time wasted just for not letting myself get killed.

Thanks for the essay but I just wanted to know for how long have you been doing this 14mil run thing :v:
Also, can I join you for some of the money grinding, if you don't mind? Could use some cash as well.
I'm on PS4, I suppose you're on Steam so I guess we can't.
I wish you could re-roll one of your daily objectives.
Don't think I'm ever going to get a bonus for doing them every day of the week. Had to participate in a GTA Capture - Raid today, but couldn't find one to play and nobody joined the games I hosted. Sometimes I breeze through them in 20 minutes, other times I have one objective which is near impossible.
I find the new tank adversary mode to be annoying and the tank to be OP
I find the new tank adversary mode to be annoying and the tank to be OP
I recently checked the comments section on the newswire post about it, and I've seen pretty much nothing but complaints. People also seem to finally be getting vocal about how tired they are of adversary modes in general. Hopefully Rockstar will get the message and give us something good. Some more in-depth Martin missions with cutscenes and stuff like the lowrider missions would be nice.
I've been trying to do the Humane Labs deliver EMP setup for 2 nights now and failed miserably every time, we've barely made it past the first jeep, and we only have one rando in the crew.

Kill the guy at the gate.
Have everyone but the Insurgent driver go inside the compound and take cover behind the building directly in front of you as you enter. Wait for the jeep to drive round and shoot the driver.
Keep the Insurgent outside till you've killed the guys in the jeep.
Slowly make your way around to the objective, timing your kills with another player to not get alerted.
Only two people should focus on killing, one driving then have the other guy as a lookout. (Or have him go around the back of the Building and climb onto the roof to take out the one guy up there.)
Depending on when you're playing I can drop in and help.
so i've made a montage of crap that i've seen/did, i'm sorry for shameless self promotion

Been about a year since I last played GTAO, Rank 53, am I too low to play with you guys?
Also what is a good way to get money?

I don't think anyone will mind. I'm only rank 41 and played on and off with some facepunchers. Doing so got me to that rank in the first place.
