you... made this account when you were 9?
Yes
I turned 18 on the Friday before this most recent one
Well, time to never leave passive again.
Worst part is I think I might've already run into this. Some guy kept snapping around getting headshots from a block or more away with the marksman pistol, and everyone was defending him saying it was just controller lock-on.
To be fair, the way I accomplished it was manipulating controller lockon.

I made this when I was 10, I think. I just turned 22. A lot of us back then were pretty young when we registered. Many didn't make it, though

Tried out a cheat engine table and it surprisingly worked.
Got 6 million, blown it on aircraft and cars. Let's see if I get banned or not

the answer is your avatar unless someone sees this post with your steam linked with it
I got a question. I seldom pop in this thread but its helped me before.
I'd like to mod gta again, before what i had to do was annoying. I have gta installed on my ssd. When i modded i used to make a copy of gta in another drive with free space, as my ssd didnt have enough for two copies. When i was done with mods and wanted to play online i'd restore the backups by deleting the folder on my ssd and brining over the backup.
I want to not have to do that anymore. I know there was mod managers that do things like this, but i could never get them to work. If i had space on my ssd i know i could just make two copies of the folder and rename them when needed but i dont have that space. Is there a way to set something up to change the install path when i want to without essentially keeping the folders in two locations and deleting the game and telling steam to reinstall it each time on the different drives with the files already there?
Have those mod managers gotten better? Someone had mentioned symlinking but i dont think itd help me for this situtation.

You could renamed the sdd folder, then make a symbolic link to the copied install that's in a different location.
They really should've limited heists to level 50 and up. Any time I play with someone lower than that, they fuck something up.
Yeah but that mindset is the reason why it's so hard to level up a second character. People constantly kick you out of heists because they assume you're new, just because of the low level.

Can you blame them though? Heists are zero-tolerance no-fuckups-allowed missions with high stakes, since they're the only way to make any actual money without cheating or paying real money.
Honestly, I wish I worked at a place like Roosterteeth where I could actually spend $100 on a Yacht and not feel bad about it because it's a business cost and someone else paid for it so it could be in a video or some shit.

Also I mean plenty of people in this thread still play GTAO right? Or did it just die off? I've only kinda kept up with this thread since .asi trainers got fucked.
If the former assumption is right you could probably just get 3 other people and binge some heists with them, assuming they're not making use of hackerbux or w/e and also are in need of money
I still play pretty regularly. Not as much as I used to though.
I still play two hours daily, unless some serious shit is happening in which case I give it a week to cool off.

While you may be a skilled player, low level characters just don't have enough health and firepower to take on heists.

Anybody at any level can take on heists. The lack of health and armor means you need to be a bit more careful, but heists certainly aren't difficult enough to the point where you need to reach rank 50 in order to have enough health to survive. As for firepower, the game gives you free gear and you have access to a ton of decent weapons right at the start as a low level. Snipers, MGs, and explosive weapons aren't really necessary and if they are, the game usually gives them to you.
Level really doesn't mean anything in this game anyways unless it's PvP(which is just garbage regardless), I've seen level 100 people fuck up heists in unimaginable ways and I personally did criminal mastermind with someone below level 50. All heists come down to is having a little bit of skill and a decent enough team
A smart level 20-something armed with the ammu-nation DLC weapons (marksman rifle, heavy shotgun, etc) can absolutely keep pace with a crew double their level or more. I know I did.
They need to play it differently though, focusing on range and cover more than raw firepower. Exploiting these at any level will generally give you an edge, but it benefits lower levels far more.

Also IIRC there's some damage scaling shenanigans with NPC damage based on the average of all four players' levels. This is why sometimes you get absolutely rocked and sometimes you don't even on the same difficulty, because a level 120 in your level 60 heist crew can skew that average and crank the damage multiplier up.

I figured something was up. I've been having to use snacks and body armor a lot more lately, and it's stressful as fuck. I wish there were hot keys or something for those so I don't have to go through a menu, usually dying in the process.
So ran into 7 people using menus/trainers today, flying speedboats are still hilariously fun.
oh, so trainers work again? I tried scouring the net without luck, guess ill have to search more.

You what?
Taggart, Chimp, ZeroTimesCookie and I, ran through the heists together on new characters. We were all under level 10, except Zero who was 30. We had no problems throughout the heists.
I met one guy who claimed to be using Jordan's, however I can't find anything about it anywhere. Infamous is going paid but has yet to be released, should be about 10$. I was able to communicate with one guy who wouldnt chat out of fear of getting reported using a "spawn a t20 for yes, van for no" system. I gathered that it wasn't Jordan's until I got buried in t20's when I asked if it wasn't from mpgh. Another guy I asked started telling me to get team viewer so he could "send it".
I honestly don't mind modders as long as they don't act dickish. Too many people just spawn props and freeze you
But are there any mods that work online who won't get you banned for spawning some stuff?
I still just want a mod/trainer that allows me to fix my face again
I realised how freaking flat it is
Just met another modder using godmode when doing a sniper kill challenge. I got ran over and upon telling him to turn it off in chat (Didn't mention his name) I got kicked out my vehicle and instantly crashed, no clones or anything.
Welp, half of the time it's best to not mention it in chat

Report him, mention his name to everyone in the server, switch session. Thats what I do
Are there any vehicles worth customizing at bennys? I'm not really interested in lowriders. I did these two and really liked the options.

The moonbeam and slamvam are pretty cool. All the other lowriders are pretty samey, though.

Think a good few of the premium paid menus got updated again, eitherway memory editing looks to be the next best thing.
If you're doing it with just SP though, scripthook, ragehook and that still work fine.
TIL those rims with the stupid-looking fins on them (shadow, carbon shadow) actually have a purpose in reality.
While spinning they act as fans that suck air out of the brakes to cool them. The more you know.

im surprised your pc didn't explode with those chrome tabs
So I now have some headphones with a really neat simulated 7.1 surround feature, and let me tell you... WOW does first person get like a thousand times better with surround sound.
When driving rear-mid engine cars in first person you can hear the engine roaring right behind you, the wind in front and all around, traffic whizzing by to the left and right... Just, my god, I don't know how I got on without this for so long. It drastically changes how the game feels.
