Do bulletproof helmets actually protect you against headshots?
yes, they make it equivalent to a body shot iirc. means at level 100+ you can take 2 headshots with a heavy sniper if you're wearing a bulletproof helmet.
Do bulletproof helmets actually protect you against headshots?
When worn without armor, no. With armor it extends the benefit of the armor to your head, which is normally still vulnerable. All helmets reduce environmental damage to the head significantly though, meaning you won't die from small drops nearly as often. [editline]t[/editline] The armor benefit stacks with the heavy combat gear bonus during heists as well, so you can make yourself very durable by combining all that.
If there are other people that haven't responded yet, I'd still love to have the contact. It gets real lonely out there, and it gets old paying hookers for company all of the time, :v:
Dunnae forget me, lad
Roleplaying as a cop in GTA:O is amazing imo. List of what i do as a cop.
One question though, are you in the LSPD Crew? I'am in the LSNT crew, as it stands for NOOSE Team. What i do when i get on duty in GTA:O - When i always join into a public session i always check up the players list, so if they have any suspicious mental states or those who are in a gang crew. - Players that are psychopaths will immediately be shot. Since they have caused chaos to everyone, murdering players and stuff. - Players that has a bounty, low rank or high rank, will get killed and followed, if nearby. But it is not a 1# priority. If the bounty is too far, it will not be followed. - I use the riot bus if lots of players are heavily fighting each other in a place. Or when i get killed. - I also use normal standard LSPD police vehicles, since they can be easier to obtain and they are faster than the riot bus. - I keep an eye on gang crew members, if they do anything suspicious. - I keep it as realistic as it can gets, using just assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns. Also tear gas. - I use my personal vehicle "Granger" in black, with the NOOSE emblem on it for patrolling around. It is the main car for noose. - Sometimes use the Police maverick as transport helicopter, or the annihilator which is also from the NOOSE, used for tracking down players at ground. But only one problem is, is that there ain't that much players working with me, or going on-duty with me. So i am mostly playing solo. And to protect and serve LS, wont work on my own though. But yeah, in overall, it really is fun to keep it up with this. But most of the time when you are doing it, wont really work that much. I sometimes also text message players that has a bounty or if their mental state is red. And saying that they are wanted by the Los Santos Noose Team. It is fun to show the power from the good side though. But yeah that is pretty much what i do.
It would be super cool if the Blista would receive the same Benny's treatmeat as Sultan and Banshee, make it 4WD and give it rally inspired bodykit hnnnnnng
I hate it when people with trainers crash you for being in first place in hot property or any of the other minigames. What is the point? If they can just hack in as much money as they want?
It would be super cool if the Blista would receive the same Benny's treatmeat as Sultan and Banshee, make it 4WD and give it rally inspired bodykit hnnnnnng
That'd require them to release the car to everyone and not just returning players.
Honestly they've already given all the preorder and system exclusive content out to all players (Khamelion, Hotknife, Elegy, etc), why not the returning player stuff already? It's not even possible to get them legit anymore, transferring from an older system does NOT grant these bonuses as of the Executives and Other Criminals update.
Okay, everyone that replied to my comment earlier about PS4 I added on PSN. If there is anyone else, just let me know and I'll add you too.
hey so I stopped playing a little before the lowrider update came out, right around the update for the editor stuff came out. probably gonna futz around with online a bit more now. can someone fill me in on major things that happened? metas, new things, missed things, upcoming things, etc. don't care about the facepunch group so save that stuff. cheaters still a thing? minigun money shooters still a thing? there seemed to be a lot more ~rank 100 players when I popped in briefly. do people not automatically think you cheat when you're a three digit rank now? thanks in advance.
can someone fill me in on major things that happened? metas, new things, missed things, upcoming things, etc. don't care about the facepunch group so save that stuff.
You already probably know about lowriders so I'll spare you that explanation. The VIP system was added, allowing anyone with $1M or more in the bank to become a target on the map, but also hire other players as bodyguards. Being a VIP or a bodyguard are both very profitable, and have unique freemode missions that pay out five digits. New armored cars were added, but the only one worth using is the Schafter V12 Armored. It's better than the armored Kuruma in almost every way (can withstand one more explosion, windows actually resist bullets instead of just having broken hitboxes, and it's WAY faster), and you'll generally see good/smart players using it, while the scumbags stubbornly stick with their armored riceboxes. Menus are still a thing, but from what I understand the really big stuff like mass explosions and spawning money are detected now, so people who do that don't last very long.
Nothing feels better than blowing up some cocky kid's armored Kuruma, blowing it up again when they call it back, then following them to the Mors lot and blowing it up AGAIN when they try to get in it.
What is this about? If someone destroys my car I just call mors and get it from my mechanic. Also, what insurance fees? So far all my cars costed only 0 dollars to respawn. Do I need a certain rank to get a fee?

If you blow up their car right after they call it, they have to wait a few minutes before calling it again, but if they call Mors and physically drive a stolen car to the lot they can get it back quicker, if they happen to be in the area.
only sorta re: lowriders from what I understand it's a separate type of car (and garage??). is that it? thanks for the response
Take a specific car to Benny's (in the heart of Strawberry) and Upgrade it to a ______ Custom, getting hydraulics in the process, as well as several livery and interior options which can range from classy to extravagant to absurd. There are two exceptions right now, being the Banshee and the Sultan, which get race car upgrades to the 900R and RS respectively. They are also moved to the Supers class.
I didn't think I'd like the Sultan at first, but after making my custom one, I actually really do. And my Banshee.
Just remember if you make a custom sultan, you ain't gonna be winning races in it. Its the slowest super of them all and it even gets beaten by sports.

The fact that the side windows break when you shoot out of it kinda queers the deal for me. I've had better luck with the Kuruma. I'm still keeping the schafter though since it's the fastest in the sedans class iirc.

I'm still keeping the schafter though since it's the fastest in the sedans class iirc.
There are three things the armored V12 is fantastic at: tanking an explosion, escaping from other armored cars, and most of all, hunting other armored cars. When you drive up behind a Kuruma, even if you break your driver side window, they can't hit you because the front windscreen is still intact, AND you have the advantage of being able to use explosives while they can't, so you can chuck a sticky at them and solve that little problem while staying perfectly safe. You can even be touching the Kuruma when it explodes, and as long as you've given the car better than stock armor, you'll be fine. Your windows won't even break. Not to mention, the V12 has better top speed AND acceleration than the Kuruma, so they can't escape you either unless they flee over a grassy hill. As for Insurgents, you can outrun them any day of the week, and you're in an agile enough vehicle where you can position yourself to kill the driver before they can hit you with a second sticky. You can also roll up, stick them, back away, roll up again, stick them with another one, and repeat the process until you've put enough on them to destroy the vehicle.
Yeah, I guess I could see how it would be useful for hunting down other players, but I usually stay in passive mode 90% of the time in public sessions. I mainly just use my Kuruma to cheese missions and heist setups.

Looks like the Minivan is now available
So, i instantly like'd these floating animal sidekicks, Saki and humpy on the television series from Princess robot bubblegum. So, i tried to make an attempt on making my own...well, wallpaper. Only Saki so far. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/PooWMnO.jpg[/thumb] I think it sucks. Oh well. Perhaps too empty?

Apart from the emptiness, it's good so far.
When in doubt, fill the space with random kanji And hey, fits with the laziness of that show too
make saki about 20% bigger and fill any empty space with katakana for fuck, poop, etc.
Imagine if one day Rockstar/Take-Two go full mental and decided to introduce Trevor Supply Fridges and Merryweather Supply Crates that required you to pay $1.50 for a key to open just so you can get a skin of the guns they've released so far and then they make it so GTA:O goes Free-To-Play and they add a Premium option where you get 5+ safehouse/garages, the ability to start heists and be a VIP as long as you're paying for a Premium subscription. What would you do?
