Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V10 - Single Player DLC When?
But you'd be able to electively fix any of that with modifications, is what I'm saying.
People who like it can leave it as is, people who don't can change it. Where's the problem?
A couple of problems:
For starters, it does nothing to make people want to use those vehicles. Why spend the money to make a vehicle a high end and not control like shit when you can just get a high end vehicle, then if you want to spend more money you'll get an even better high end vehicle.
Second, you're forcing players to pay to fix something broken and bad. In a game where plenty of people already can't stand the grind and demand for cash for everything.
Third, it makes everything when you're not in a personal vehicle ass. When most vehicles handle badly, the general game becomes less fun because players will spend more time having to fight bad handling that they will actually playing the game and enjoying it. Good luck getting car chases going.

Big deal, some cars just have better stuff by default. General sports and sport coupes will have better suspension and sportier tires by default, and they aren't exactly hard to come by, so seeking them out in the heat of battle is still feasible.
You'd steal an SUV for resistance, you'd steal a truck for an offroad escape, you'd steal a sports car for a speedy getaway; it's not all that different than what we have now, it's just that different cars feel more distinct under this system, instead of half of a class being basically the same car with a different model and +/- some stats.

Also I would fucking love the Reliant Robin in GTAV.
Call it the Declasse Pigeon, make it really fast in a straight line but prone to rolling over if you don't slow way down for turns.
apparently some genius from FaZe clan just exposed the Rockstar's livestream key people. I can't name who is who, neither the guy i know who was there want to expose their privacy, so this will be a mystery

And who the hell cares?

Under this system, the stratification becomes even more extreme. Right now you can make some cars work with a bit of skill and knowledge against better vehicles. Under this proposed system, it would become very clear what the best vehicles are. At least with the current system you do actually get some semblance of choice while still being able to hold your own against other vehicles, especially within the same class. Also, GTA is not a min-max RPG about finding the exact perfect vehicle build and set of loadouts. It has never been about that.
If you're racing with a car, chances are it's one you own, which you can modify to be competitive. At their best, near everything would feel very close to what we have now, if not better due to things that are presently cosmetic actually doing what they should, it's just at their worst where they're the most varied.
Also, added depth to a system is not inherently "RPG min-max". That would be different temperature thresholds of brakes versus stopping power or choosing appropriate tire pressure for hot or cold pavement. The idea of things like carbon parts and specialized tires actually doing something is not even remotely close to that. Some of the most basic racing games with customization do that.
[editline]t[/editline]
Remember, before spoilers were changed to actually add traction, many used a very similar argument that cosmetic things changing stats would be too complicated. That doesn't appear to be the case at all, after the fact. The playerbase adapted quickly, and it's fostered a healthier and more diverse racing meta.
I seriously hope they add NOS at some point.
Sabre is now available for modding at Bennys.

And they got rid of the stock stripes. Fucking unbelieveable.
I seriously hope they add NOS at some point.
Well its in the game code as a working feature, remember the good old save editor?
Allows you to enable it, I miss my old NOS enabled Stanier that could outrun Adders online. :v:
Oh well, ended up with this since it seemed to be the only livery that kind of nicely went with the color I already had going on. I just wish the hood part didn't have the "RANDUM GANGSTA GRILLS" thing on, even skulls would be less cringey.

That money, tho. :v:
Appears the Custom Sabre might be the fastest Muscle car now.
Man, Benny vehicles are what cars should been like in terms of customisation from the start (beside nonstandard cars like Supercars and the armoured shit, etc), it adds more depth to customising just one car and you're able to make something unique, although the limited skins do hinder that, I've seen so many mock Subarus driving about.
Here's hoping more cars get the treatment they deserve, my picks are the Futo, Elegy RH8, 9F, and BF Surfer.

3.6 adds 5 new randomized blood pools instead of just 1 plus 36 new randomized blood decals (chunks, mists, droplets & splatters) instead of just 9
also you hold the AK like tony montana now
coming soon
I still want a Benefactor Panto Donk.
The Sabre Turbo Custom makes an excellent substitute for the Diablo Stallion.

How about an issi donk
It would be really cool if they added more skins for guns.

I was gonna go for this but I fell in love with an accident:

Sabre Turbo Custom ruins muscle class races like the Stirling GT did to sports classics.
Better in every way than everything else, no reason not to use it when racing that class. Ugh.
I totally wouldn't mind a Patriot/Sandking donk update
But the Sandking already is Donk if you change the tires

Sabre Turbo Custom:
$490,000
- no new spoilers (!!!)
- no new bumpers
- no new exhausts
- no new hoods
- hood air intakes still have shitty low-res textures
- no custom seats
- no neon speakers
- basic animal skin interiors
- lowrider steering wheels, not racing wheels
- average-quality liveries
- performance boost ruins musclecar races
+ musclecar-race-ruining performance boost
overall: 2/10
only slightly less disappointing than the Tornado
I was hoping and praying for another Slamvan-quality upgrade but it looks like rockstar's got their C-team on car duty
the two widebody racers and this batch of lowriders feel like they were made by completely different companies
Does suspension affect performance at all or does it just make your car lower?
Does suspension affect performance at all or does it just make your car lower?
making your car lower can affect performance significantly
it doesn't actually boost your numbers but improves turning performance via a lower center of gravity
Just bought the Sabre and was immediately disappointed as soon as I drove it out of Benny's. At least it's the new fastest muscle. That's cool I guess.
Have we gotten any news on any single player DLC?
Have we gotten any news on any single player DLC?
Was that ever actually promised, or are we just guessing because of EFLC?
Do you guys know if this method still works for changing a character's appearance? Some people say it works but might delete Pegasus vehicles.
1. have an empty character slot
2. create a character (this character will be scrapped)
3. play through the tutorial and reach the character to rank 6.
4. leave gta online.
5. return to online as the throw away character
6. a prompt will pop up requesting character change.
7. disconnect your internet from the system.
8. return to V and select online character you want to edit.
9. character request prompt will pop up.
10. Confirm you want to edit your appearance.
Has anyone tried it recently? Rockstar is no longer offering character's change by request from what I've heard.
How long till Classic Vinewood Update with plastic surgery option?
Rockstar could just charge you for modifications or alterations, like if you were a car, bonus points if instead of going to a legit surgeon you got a shady surgeon.

Did you buy a bunch of sodas for it to go down
