Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V10 - Single Player DLC When?

Anyone know why the game might stop loading after reinstalling update.rpf? I added a car mod into it yesterday, and suddenly the splash screen loaded infinitely, so I undid the mod but it still wouldn't load. Deleted, verified, reinstalled 10gb, scrubbed everything I did in the last 24 hours, but I can't get back in. Did it update last night or something? I really don't want to have to reinstall 60gb and can't find any solution, "gta v never loading" threads only come from people who could never launch it.
EDIT:
Fixed it, for future reference it messed up my savegame somehow. Cleared them and it worked, now I just have to find out how to get it back.

I got a really good pic of me 3 wheeling like 2 months ago thought I'd post it
Yeah it's not Windows Media Player. It plays them fine too like.
Don't know how they could have fucked up where some songs just can't be read for at all like. It's weird.
I don't know about name lengths, but I might give it a shot some time.
Self radio has the exact same issue of songs being too quiet. I don't know what is going on there like. I mean how do they fuck up the radio this god damn much? It's beyond me really like.
There was some yoke I found for like making them all louder, seemed to have worked like cause any new songs I've added sound quieter than the others. Don't know why it didn't work with 4, never had that on PC cause I heard it was a disastrous port. Plus I beat it like three times on the PS3 before.
I did find a text file in my local folder that lists my music and the path to them, I didn't really check it but I think I already saw some songs missing from it.
You could try editing it and adding a missing song to it

What local folder?
I've found that using MP3Gain and setting the target to 97-99 dB gets the Self Radio songs to the right volume
What local folder?

C:\Users\-name-\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V\User Music
Two files in there, "Date Base File" and a "DBS" file.
The DBS file can be opened with notepad, the Date Base File turns in to gibberish when opened with notepad

It's empty for me

Force the game to do a scan on your music folder, a full scan not a quick.
Those two files are basically the simple sql database that the game uses to store the music metadata (like title, artist etc) and the full path.
Without them it wont see anything.

Still nothing
So apparently there's a glitch going on right now where if you create a new crew emblem, transparent backgrounds don't work and you get a white background. So now I'm stuck with stupid white squares on my cars. Rockstar really needs to fix the glitchy crew emblems. They're like cancerous tumors.
R* patches one thing out ( or atleast they think they do ) and two takes its place
Its like that snake head thing

I think I might have found the problem, are you using shortcuts to folders? Or shortcuts to the music files them selfs?
Getting a GTX 980 sometime this week in the mail, can't wait to try out different games with higher settings to see how they run.

Nope, no shortcuts. I just copied everything I wanted into User Music in Documents.

How many songs do you have?
Current batch is 60, most work to my knowledge. Previous batch that I actually wanted only had 40, with 29 not being read that left me with just 11 tracks to enjoy. That gets boring fast.

I think I got all my songs working now.
I made sure that there was no music in my user music folder and the folder in "C:\Users\-name-\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V\User Music" was empty.
Then I loaded GTA V story mode, went to audio settings, turned automatic scan off and did a full scan.
After that I placed a few songs in the user music folder while V was still running and did a full scan.
After the scan I would check the usertracks file to see if my music was added to the game, if they were added I would delete the usertracks files, place a few more songs in my user music folder and do a full scan again.
And then I just repeated that until I ran out of music.

I'll try that way so then.
Thanks for your help by the way.

For GTA V with mine the only two FPS killers are Grass (Setting to high fixed that issue)
And Shadows(Same again but maybe i set them to very high)
but holy shit does a good GPU make GTA V enjoyable

Is there a way to make San Andreas run better than 25FPS without breaking the physics like Disabling the frame limiter does?
Is there ever a use for a high Lung Capacity stat in GTA Online?

Yeah, I look forward to see how much better it runs than my current 760.
Is there ever a use for a high Lung Capacity stat in GTA Online?
Not really. Before the rebreather came along it was kinda useful for hiding from cops I guess.

I use the high lung capacity to infiltrate yachts from beneath, and I switch to the rebreather when I run out of Oxy.

So I've tried doing this but I don't know what the usertracks file is or where it is. The folder "C:\Users\-name-\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V\User Music" is still empty entirely, even after emptying User Music and scanning, then adding songs. So in the end the same songs don't work out of this smaller batch of ten. As in the same ones from the original batch of 40 that are in this that worked, still work. Those of the 29 that didn't, still don't work.

I have to wonder this too, custom jobs just seem unpopular I guess? Weird since there's some genuinely hectic trackmania-like custom races.
I think people are burned out on user created jobs in general because the vast majority of them rely on the same five or six gimmicks, and the few that don't are either titled in a language other than English, or are just plain badly designed.
Nobody really bothers to do QA on their maps either, which leads to exploits that break them and hurt their lasting appeal.
But somehow everyone keeps inviting people to those dumb "FAST RP AND CASH!!!!!!" jobs
Rockstar might as well just make Snipers vs Stunters an official game mode.
Rip it off, call it something different, and make it look less fuck-ugly. Also make the maps less one-sided.

I'm so fucking fed up with Rockstar lately, they claim to listen to the community but they obviously don't
