I need both of the overlanders
I'm just wondering on the clothing we're getting this update and weapons, if any. I imagine we're going to get more suits and more fancy clothing.
oh my god why do you remember that post and where to find it
Honestly I don't know
I'm just wondering on the clothing we're getting this update and weapons, if any. Maybe they'll finally let us buy the VIP/bodyguard outfits?
I'm currently at level 69 and slowly getting to level 100 where I can get that damn RPG
I dunno why, but I had the targeting rocket launcher right from the beginning, I didn't even preorder.
I dunno why, but I had the targeting rocket launcher right from the beginning, I didn't even preorder.
The homing launcher was added with the festive surprise update. It's available for everyone.
After a while of dib-dabbing in and out of interest of GTA games, I have finally decided I would like to get one. So, I was wondering, which one out of all those released is the best? :D
I dunno why, but I had the targeting rocket launcher right from the beginning, I didn't even preorder.
he means the RPG you unlock at level 100, the homing launcher is unlocked from rank 1 because it's a DLC weapon.
can we get an update with some regular cars? hot hatches and sports saloons? what about some mid-2000s shitboxes with absurd visual modifications, spoilers, bodykits and bonnets? something that doesn't cost close to or more than 1,000,000 would be great. When was the last time we had a group session. I have a severe, fatal allergy to playing with randomers
I have a severe, fatal allergy to playing with randomers
You and me, both, (especially modder allergy). [editline]3rd June 2016[/editline]
he means the RPG you unlock at level 100, the homing launcher is unlocked from rank 1 because it's a DLC weapon.
Why you need the RPG then, it only has 10 rockets more and can be fired from the side of the helicopter, thats it. You can ignore the homing launchers "homing" by firing fast.
ayy cockstar loves to manipulate time
The game universe is tied to our own, since the game was released in 2013, that's when it was originally set. Now, 3 years later, shit that's coming out this year is coming out in game, so you could assume that it's 2016 in game when you play GTA:O. I went online just to drive around and do lame shit earlier and in typical fashion ended up on top of Chilliad. What ensued was a quick encounter that ended up being one of my most memorable moments in GTA. Hell, I had such a good time, I practically wrote a short story highlighting everything that happened in an overly dramatic and literary fashion.
I had reached the top of mount Chilliad in my jet black Super Diamond, and decided to drive it off one of the largest cliffs on the mountain. As I made my preparations, I noticed that a buzzard with 3 players was following another player across the map, hunting him the same way Palin hunts wolves. After the guy died twice tot hem I got a little bothered by their antics, and decided to make the hunters, become the hunted. I jumped from the car, dying instantly because I had forgot to purchase another chute after pulling the same stunt earlier. Refocused and alive, I pulled out the big bitch rifle and took aim, as the helicopter spun around to give the man in back a clear shot, I had an eye on the pilot's head from behind. Like a SEAL sniper on a boat in rough seas a mile out, I took the shot. Thanks to GTA having bullets that magically telegraph to wherever you aim, the bullet easily hit its mark. the pilots face exploded across the front windshield of the cabin and the bullet passed through breaking the glass. The helicopter stalled, and fell to the earth, as the copilot jumped the other player accepted his fate, both of them dying on impact. I managed to get 3/4 of the way down the mountain at this point, the shot was easily on the edge of the vision distance range so I had some distance between me and them. Since it was a night, my descent was masked by my black clothing. By the time I reached the bottom, I took a shot from one of them, taking very little damage. I took cover near a factory building near the edge of town, regaining my composure for the inevitable bloodbath that was about to ensue. I knew one of them would run up to face-fuck me as quickly as possible, so like a real dick I had my chaingun at the ready. As soon as the bastard rounded the corner, I blasted him. I took out half his health before he rolled and took cover behind a wall, but not giving him an inch, I kept my finger hard down on the trigger. I saw a light in the distance getting closer, it was a train coming down the tracks I had crossed to get into cover, and drew out an escape plan. The pilot was clearly the vehicle player of the group, because he was still on a side street presumably waiting for a kuruma or insurgent. The third player at this time came to back his buddy up, but RPGS aren't so great if you miss your target, and it was easy to turn him into pink mist with the chain gun. The other guy jumped out of cover with a heavy MG and started laying down his own brand of heavy fire. Too bad for him, just as he started shooting, the locomotive of the train blocked his shots, and I jumped onto the open car just behind it. Once on board, I shot a grenade from the launcher, and nailed the guy sending him flying into the air and landing out of view behind a warehouse. At this point I thought I was in the clear, but nope. The pilot, in true bitch fashion, was flying down the dirt road towards the train in nothing other than an armored kuruma. I wasn't ready to die by some scrub in his armored car, just taking pop shots at me as I take cover in the train car. I did the only thing worth doing, pulling the pin on a hand grenade and cooking it. I threw it blindly over the car, and as soon as it cleared the side of the train it exploded, but it missed the mark. The driver was clearly spooked by the grenade and managed to get wedged under one of the cars, I took this perfect opportunity to climb the locomotive and get a real shot on the guy. I knew I had only once chance to get this right, so I climbed up as quickly as a could, and as I climbed I swapped to the great kuruma equalizer, the RPG. Once on top, the driver managed to get un-stuck and was getting into position to take me out. Too bad for him, in the time it took him to get his sights trained on me, I had already fired my RPG. With the driver out of the picture, I was able to ride the train into the tunnel further down the tracks, and called Lester to go off the radar. I waited, and once I was reaching the other end of the tunnel, I confirmed the order. Once I was back in the open and off the radar, I jumped off the train and ran towards the weed farm nearby, able to steal a truck and driving off. Of course they all continued trying to chase and kill me, but due to being off the radar and the distance I had on them, I made it to the farm airport with a jet and flew off back to LS. I jumped over my home in the Hills, and just as I pulled the rip chord on my chute, the sun crested those hills that overlooked a misty Los Santos. As I landed on the street in front of my home, a man could be heard shouting, "oh-hoho, fu-huhuhuuuck!" as he fled for his life. I entered the front door, walking towards the living room that had windows to the pure anarchy that was happening downtown, as a dozen players fought in a massive free-for-all. I sat down on the sofa, weary of the evenings festivities; I turned on the television, and spent the morning watching anime.
GTA has never been more fun, and I really look forward to this new update, which will certainly multiply the odds of these sorts of hijinks. I wish I hadn't used up all of my R* editor video space because I would've loved to relive that moment again, even if it's just as a spectator.
uuuhhhh the online is set before/alongside the singleplayer story lester mentions to mike that he's been working with someone but they're too unpredictable to get involved in the jewel store heist (probably a little reference to the players online character) and trev still thinks brad is alive during series A, merryweather are also not down the toilet thanks to the singleplayer protagonists in online
The game universe is tied to our own
What? Who said this, as it doesn't follow with shit that's happened at all.
You know, it's kind of a shame this song isn't in GTAV's soundtrack, because it would've been cool/fitting as a trailer theme for this update.

Is it bad that the only thing that excites me about this update is that big offroad truck ? I hope we can buy it straight away and won't have to do something specific to unlock it like heist vehicles.
I just hope you could put it in the garage and therefore able to customize it 99% sure it's a Pegasus vehicle though 'I am sorry, your vehicle is not available at the moment. Please call again.'
Can't wait for this new update to drop. How much money do you think we'll be able to earn with the new gameplay mechanics?
Didn't the dev's explicitly say that GTA online takes place one year before the events of the GTAV? That would explain why stuff like Madrazos house hasn't been replaced yet. It would make more sense just to say because the game world and the cars aren't real, events don't have to happen at the same time as they do in the real world, so a similar car was just developed earlier.

I can hardly imagine someone less reliable than Online players.

Also the fact that the dev's said the online part happens before the events of GTA online. I agree its ridiculous but that's irrelevant. Where the game takes place is pretty much set in stone and can't be changed. It's like questioning why the military has't come in and martial law hasn't been placed in response to the crazy amount gun violence in the game. Also I found the quote:
When does GTA Online Take Place? Some people who’ve been playing through Grand Theft Auto V’s Story Mode have been inquiring how the narrative of GTA Online correlates or crosses over. Grand Theft Auto Online is set a few months prior to the events of Grand Theft Auto V’s single player story.
http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51487/gta-online-details-game-day-access-info-and-more.html
