Restart until you have Blank Card in the shop.
Purchase Blank Card.
Save money for card purchases.
Purchase cards until you get 2 of Diamonds.
Use Blank Card to double money. Purchase battery pickups to repeat until you are at maximum money.
Purchase all pedestal items that you can. Do not purchase Chaos or Lil' Baggy. You're fishing for a couple specific items.
First you'll want the Car Battery or Starter Deck. The Starter Deck isn't necessary but the extra space makes it a lot easier to hold onto cards that you want to keep for later. Car Battery makes uses of 2 of Diamonds more effective and lets you speed up grinding with the Deck of Tarot Cards.
If your shop has batteries, you'll want to buy the Deck of Tarot Cards (if you have already purchased the Starter Deck, Mom's Pill Bottle works too), if your shop has batteries and tarot cards, you can do this pretty easily with just direct purchases. However, having the Car Battery will speed this process up if you go with the Deck route.
Grind cards until you get a Chaos Card, put this into your secondary card slot, we'll use this later.
Return to buying things infinitely. You're looking for the Battery and Glowing Hourglass. Once you have these two you are done and can progress as you see fit, you're bound to be powerful enough at this point to steamroll the game up to Ultra Greed.
If you see Glowing Hourglass before you get infinite money, restart. There's no way to get it again.
With the Glowing Hourglass overcharged, walk into the Ultra Greed fight with the Chaos Card ready to throw. Kill Ultra Greed in 1-hit, donate until the machine jams, use Glowing Hourglass to rewind the fight (which also grants you your Chaos Card, so don't sweat missing).
Repeat.
Thanks for this, it was surprisingly easy to set up.
excuse me, but

He means the thing in the upper left. What looks like a womb floor entrance out of bounds.
Any easy way of unlocking Keeper? Modding him in or whatever, even.
Doing twenty or so Greed runs doesn't sound too appealing. Nor does restarting three-hundred times until I get a magical item combination.
Is this it? Do we have all the things now?

Probably not since the Blue Womb still has music associated with it that is never heard in the game. (due to there being no rooms to fight monsters in)
And there's also Skinless Hush from the files, as well as that old man character...
The 1001% achievement doesn't unlock either.
Welp here's the answer

so yeah, we've found everything. the 1001% achievment will be made actually unlockable next patch. so I guess Skinless Hush and the blue womb music overlays are just left over cut content.
He means the thing in the upper left. What looks like a womb floor entrance out of bounds.
Oh lol, didn't even see that.
It still baffles me why the naming convention of the beggars isn't Beggar, Bloodsucker, Keymaster and Anarchist.
Last I checked, keymasters are the only one with a unique name.
I dunno why the names aren't Coingrabber, Vampire, Key Warrior, and Average Muslim, respectively.

. . .
:mysterysolved:
wow... so I break the game and start buying all the items to set up an infinite greed donation and my game crashes and resets all my progress for the floor

lmao if only. I just did 9 greed runs and only got an extra 90 coins donated in due to constant jamming (up to 200 wooo). They really didn't think this whole 'machine jamming' shit through because holy christ it'd take awhile to do this legit and without trying for that above mentioned combo.

You 2 really need to slow down and enjoy your steak. Enjoy each savory bite for 300 hours. [sp]Or you know, just use Cheat Engine and to make it so donation machines don't jam.[/sp]
quoting
If it makes you feel better, I was doing an entirely casual romp through Greed mode when the game handed me the tools to break it over my knee like it was just Halloween candy.
It's not that hard to get the ball rolling with Blank Card for infinite money. It's a bit tedious until you get the things you need though. Then you go on a power trip through the rest of the game, then it gets tedious again once you get to Ultra Greed.
you could also try getting 9-volt+glowing hourglass+chaos card
instakill ultra greed with the chaos card, use the hourglass, donate until machine jams, repeat.
if that doesn't work then your other option at that point would be cheat engine , as i dont think there's a working save editor right now.
I'm currently using gnawed leaf + peeper to slooooooooowly beat greed mode as blue baby. I didn't plan that combo but hey, as long as it's here, I'll exploit the shit out of it.

As I said Glowing hourglass+Chaos card+sharp plug is a sure fire way of doing it aswell. Guess whichever you you get (9 volt or sharp plug) first works.

Considering how his health works it should only take a little longer than my Mom's Knife/Ipecac run :v:
The greed money machine trick seems like something Ed would patch out so get it done while you can.

It's been around since the day of the 109-fix patch, so probably isn't going anywhere. He doesn't seem to mind when breaking the game takes luck or more than 1 item.
So I just had the stupidest run ever.
I started as Azazel, and by Caves 1 I had got triple shot + quad shot + Guppy transfrom
[t]http://i.imgur.com/SHqJZCe.jpg[/t]
Not bad, I thought, that run is pretty much done already, just need to steamroll the rest of the game.
In Depths, I got Restock and a Quater, in the store I bought that item that lets you convert 2 soul hearts into one heart container, and since the store had unlimited supply of soul hearts...

After Depths 1 I got a devil delil deal and
[t]http://i.imgur.com/MgfYnbw.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/GQG0i2Z.jpg[/t]
Depths 2 lent me another devil deal
[t]http://i.imgur.com/o4DLcCx.jpg[/t]
...Well I'm not playing that game again, I just depleted all my TBOI luck :v:
what did that brimestone and knife combo look like?
what did that brimestone and knife combo look like?
I think it's no different from the one in Rebirth, it just makes knives do this

fun fact: graphics for 12 room charge bar existed since rebirth release
Considering how his health works it should only take a little longer than my Mom's Knife/Ipecac run :v:
Actually did run into a bit of a problem. I forgot ultra greed can restore his own health, so I thought I was going to have to attempt the fight legit.
But then he got stuck in a loop of walking into me and my cube of meat ground him down in about a minute.

I meant the 7 shot brimestone.
I meant the 7 shot brimestone.
It shot 7 knives after charging.
Will using cheat engine to set the Greed Machine donations at like, 1 coin before each milestone and then donating, prevent the related achievements from unlocking? i.e. I want the achievements and unlocks, but I don't want to do it the hard way.
I beat Greed mode so many times when the machine was locked at 109, and now I'm a bit tired of the game and I'm a little annoyed that all those times I couldn't contribute to my 1000 coins donation.
