I'm particularly fond of items that have additional effects for being held. It offers a larger incentive to change your active item for reasons beyond what the item does when you hit spacebar. Mom's Box in particular does a good job with this, although Book of Belial does this to a less-visible extent and is strong enough on its own without that boost in encountering bonus rooms. How do you guys feel about them? I've got a few slated for when the modding API hits next year. But I could always prioritize them if there's a demand. Nobody knows what they are now.[/QUOTE] While holding the Missing Poster, commit suicide inside a sacrifice room. You'll unlock the Lost and immediately respawn as the lost. However if you die with the trinket in any other way without the character yet unlocked, the trinket will not do it's thing.

Here's one as an example: Hot Potato -- Ouch! While held, +3 damage. Deals damage to Isaac for every 15 seconds spent inside a combat room, clearing the room or entering a new room resets the timer. Gets redder as it gets closer to the 15-second mark. Use the hot potato to throw it like bob's brain. When it hits an enemy, it will inflict a burn and splat some potato on the ground that causes slowdown. The item is gone after being used once.

I bought Afterbirth and have had it sitting in my Steam inventory so I can use it once I finish Rebirth. And God knows when that will be. So do the balance changes like Stop Watch and the changes to the Lost affect people who only have the base game?

It was insane, since Soy Milk's increased tear rate gets slowed down in favour of increasing every other statistic, it makes you really strong.

I don't think anyone can really argue with these.

I thought everyone understood this. You start off with [I]the[/I] item to have as the Lost but then you also have the D4 if you want to take a risk and possibly get something OP like Epic Fetus later on. It makes the Lost more fun imo.

What a fuckin waste though, to play the entire game without once using your active item just for this 1 specific use.
I am getting really sick of the angels in the Isaac fight spawning right on top of me and pointlessly costing me health. And the light pillars appearing on top of me as well, sometimes several in a row both where I am and where I'm going. And the light pillar wave sometimes not having a safe corner. And the boss itself prefiring based on your trajectory if you're flying. Basically what I'm saying is WOW this boss is fucking annoying if you can't nuke it. If the light starts in the upper left, you go to the upper right, and if it starts in the upper right, you go to the upper left. This works for me 100% of the time. Shit, maybe I shouldn't have said anything about this. Last time, I posted about how much I liked the stopwatch and it was nerfed next time I came to the thread. Now I bet they're gonna change the mechanics of the light beams so you can't always hide in the opposite corner.
Sometimes for whatever reason neither top corner is safe, and instead both bottom ones are. It's maybe a 1/5 chance but it's jarring and has ended my runs before.

If you get chocolate milk and the coin tear item, spamming low damage tears will spawn a bunch of coins and you won't be able to move for coins making you unkillable.
Agh fucking Cursed Eye WHY do you look like a pearl? Got it while playing Greed mode as Eve and made it to Ultra Greed then after he had like 1/5 health left I got hit, teleported and quit the game. Eugh.

Greed's spinning coins just instakilled me while I had it because I got trapped between them and a wall. And good luck if the coin falls into a horde of enemies, or just out of your reach in general.

Started a new run, rerolled Mantle into Tech X. Cool First room drops a red chest and there's a dead cat. SWEET I pick up the glowing hourglass from the shop Decide to visit curse room since with hourglass I can just port back to safety one of the red chest ports me to devil room, and when I'm in curse room, hourglass teleports me to the devil. Killing myself in the curse room also leads to the devil fuck me

When you respawn inside the curse room, bomb yourself or carefully walk onto the door to get respawned outside.
After like 3 tries I managed to get enough acceleration and die outside of the curse room. Carried the run to mega satan but died to lust that satan spawned. Funnily enough I had stopwatch too, so if it weren't for Edmund's idiotic decision I would have definitely won.
Lost is now finally unlockable on n3DS as of the latest patch. He carries the D4 but strangely doesn't have spectral.
