The fact brimstone + soy milk doesn't just become a much more powerful tech 2 is extremely disappointing.

so I i a run with that item that doubles pickups, (not sure contact front below increases this), master key which increases loot from chests, key bum, and bumbo, and sack head (eventually got regular bum but to devil bum as I missed not thinking I could make it). There was a chain reaction in almost every room that had money or keys because the keys would picked up to dump out chests, the chests would explode with stuff, the sacks that came out would produce even more stuff, then the coins would be converted to chests so much that key bum and bumbo would feed off of eachother. Sometimes I had to leave a room because they kept collecting more and more shit.
A truly broken synergy.

I think they are trying to "balance" things, by doing stuff the audience hates like nerfing the stopwatch.
But I've said this before, basically a balanced Isaac is a boring Isaac.
All the balance changes I've seen so far have just made the game less fun, or drawn the item pool's balance closer to homogeneity, which nobody wants. I'm kind of stunned they've never addressed some VERY old complaints, like Bloat's instantaneous brimstone. Something that has persisted since the Flash game. Nobody ever speaks out to defend shitty decisions like that either, so I assume they just never take any complaints about unfair difficulty to heart.

I've had host hat save me so many times on runs like this. I had a Dr. Fetus, Monstros Lung, Cluster Bomb, Crikets Body run that killed Ultra Greed in like 4 seconds where pressing the fire keys pretty much took control of my character and threw me around the screen until it was over. Was gonna link it but time stamps don't work here for some reason. It was really cool looking because I had glitter bombs (or fruit cake, can't remember) so it was just rainbows all over the screen.
Finally got undefined for like the first time on this dlc and made it to the chest when I made the wonderful discovery that the I AM ERROR room has in fact been deleted from The Chest and The Dark Room to prevent people looping the level anymore. There's no logic behind that lmao, all you do with a move like that is lessen the amount of fun the player can have. dummmmmmmmmmmmm
Man i have to say that there are some sprites from afterbirth that don't look that good, there are some good looking sprites like most of the bosses (Ultra greed being my favorite), but:
Most of the enemies just seems like recolors of other sprites (like those brimstone ghost) or just look meh like the imps, there are some good looking enemies like the Mom's dead hand, but they are rare.
The new floor variants have cool looking effects, but they just re-use textures of the original floors, also, it kinda bug me off that the burning basement look more like the burning cellar.
It also makes me wonder how much Notyoursagittarius actually worked on the sprites (does she even appears in the credits?), she has a lot of potential (just look at the fan-sprite of the Ur-Gurdy or The Corpse) and, if i remember well, she did a good job on Ultra greed and Hush, but other than those two, i don't know in what more she actually worked on.

It really feels like Ed/Nicalis just don't care about the audience anymore, which is a shame because I thought the total opposite when Rebirth initially came out. There's so many things that are [B]way[/B] obvious that they shouldn't be done/should be fixed but instead it's just silence or changes to things that make the game less fun.
I really don't see the need for balance in a single player game like this. If there were leaderboards for different runs it would be different. But all leaderboards come from people using the same seed, so nobody's really overpowered, are they?

nope, tried all I could think of. quitting in the sense of in-game and application, dying (was quite hard due to explosive resistances and OP troll bombs spawning due to my run), switching items, dropping trinkets, waiting

That's a rare special attack. Just stand still until he falls asleep and push the arena over to him and kill him.

There's only one thing she contributed to the game and that's the Host Hat. Tyrone confirmed she didn't actually work on Afterbirth, which is why she doesn't show up in the credits.

EDIT: Ever since I unlocked Holy Mantle on the Lost I have beaten Isaac, Blue Baby, Boss Rush, and Ultra Greed (Thank you Chaos Card). This is amazing.
He seriously didn't find another active item from basement to depths that entire run? I'd pick up the first one I see since anything is better than something that more often than not kills a run the second you use it.

Ahh.. that's a shame.. i really thought she did the Ultra Greed and the hush sprites, welp... i was wrong!
Also about that Chest Nerf... man nicalis (maybe edmund too) just doesn't seem to care about pissing of the fans do they.
I know that this has been said before, but they should just focus on fixing some of the bugs this game has... like those god damn Daddy long Legs's legs (duh)!. When i used to play as the lost on rebirth he absolutely scared me when he did that random leg drop attack, not because it's random but because those damn legs hit you before they even appear on the screen! This bug is still here and yes, its pretty annoying.
Ending 17 still doesn't unlock for me even though I've kiilled Hush before and after the patch.

That must've happened because I skipped the ending chest that dropped by using blue hourglass and then suiciding to respawn as blue baby. I wanted to kill Hush twice during the same run, but it looks like that locks you out of the ending.
It's bad programming though that it doesn't just unlock when the chest itself drops, same goes for that 1001% achievement bug.

the fact that you need to mechanically cheap out the game to beat hush as opposed to just having game breaking good stats is such a fuckin slap in the face every run. like 60% of the possible items in the game are completely useless against him by design. why would you do this
like okay there's two kinds of ways to break the game, mechanically (ludovico + brimstone) and stat-wise (nothing but tear upgrades). hush has no reason to exist other than to functionally remove your agency with the latter and make the former completely tedious and unfun. so basically by design you are not supposed to enjoy hush. literally nobody at any stage of development thought this through.

If the hush should be hard to kill it's because it makes use of tactics that require you to think and react in a smart smart manner. Teleporting around after taking X damage would be one such way requiring you to pay attention to where it moves, not some BS [I]"LA LA LA I AM NOW INVINCIBLE AND AM GOING TO SPAM BULLETS AT YOU! HP scaling would be OK if it didn't just make the Hush a stupidly tanky timed fight, sure give it enough HP to not die instantly but right now it's FAR too bullshit.

The scaling changed I think, I killed hush in a few seconds during a run.
I installed a mod that fills item rooms up completely and killed him in a few seconds as well.
Hush's HP still scales by a lot but it's not 100% linear anymore, not that the change is worth anything. I got a monstro's lung + mom's knife + homing shot and hit Hush with 3-5 knives every second with a ton of damage upgrades(think killing the heart within half a second) and Hush took me a minute less than usual.
A minute less with a run that was one of the most ridiculous runs i've had short of infinite item broken runs. Damage upgrades are still worthless.

I mean it's nice that his health doesn't scale 100% linearly alongside your damage anymore, but there's effectively no difference with any build you can get through legitimate means without breaking the game for infinite items. The scaling HP is still broken
