I dunno dlc stands for downloadable content. Doesn't mean we have to pay for it. You don't "download" anything significant for a patch like that.
It'll probably be paid, but I'm trying to stay optimistic.
I get what DLC stands for it's just that when it comes to adding Isaac content, they've either done it via free patches or as paid DLC. So since they're calling it DLC again, I just get the impression it's gonna cost money again. Plus they gotta justify all the work they're gonna do on it since a modding API is no small task I'd assume. We'll seeeee but I'm expecting something that's a few bucks.
Imagine if it's one dollar and nine cents. I think a lot of people'd flip out over that.
How are they even going to handle this as a DLC?
They haven't even backported the balancing changes from afterbirth into rebirth and they even use two different exes, the latter which hasn't been updated since afterbirth came out :v:.
Cool, can't wait for the community to come out with a balance patch that unfucks the game's difficulty

that's how it worked for the flash version too
the new dlc is said to have additional content, like items and stuff; but if the modding tools are available only to people with the dlc it's going to kinda suck

That's what's most likely going to happen though.
What did you guys think about yesterday's daily? I found that rerolling pretty much saved the run for me.
I was really disappointed with how access to the Dark Room was made so lazily. Was Ed seriously that strapped for ideas that he couldn't come up with something other than copying the Chest's requirement? And then having the game forcibly drop the required items since you arbitrarily need to unlock access to those floors every time you go there -- kind of defeating the purpose of there being any "secret" to their existence.
At least in Flash Isaac, the cryptic "Bring him the photo" combined with the Polaroid being a non-guaranteed trinket drop kept the Chest itself "secretive" for about a week until people figured it out. What should've been done from that point is to have the Chest follow the footsteps of literally every other unlock in Isaac: one-and-done. Do the unlock requirement and then it's accessible on all subsequent runs. While yes, it'd have been frustrating at the beginning when people are trying to get that 1 run to align so that they can access it, after that it's an irrelevant concept since the trinket would be a part of any sort of run. Hell, it could've still been a pedestal item instead of a trinket. Just the notion of requiring it on every single run leaves a bitter taste in the back of your mouth since it is pretty boring like that...doubly so because it makes soul heart runs and ??? significantly easier in the lategame since he's guaranteed to have 5 seconds of i-frames. What a boring meta to effortlessly hand to players. Similarly, I kinda wish that initial access to the Dark Room were construed out of the old rumor of attempting to use the Shovel in Sheol. Even in Afterbirth digging a hole does literally nothing, not even spawning a trapdoor. Although to be honest I'd have accepted anything other than doing the Polaroid nonsense but just with a different near-identical item.
The extremity endings aren't secretive as they were designed, they're just straight-up progression. Progression that arbitrarily requires particular key items to work, yet those key items are always offered to the player...unless they happen to warp to an ERROR room and miss the Mom fight in which case fuck them they aren't allowed to see the end-game, right Ed? :I

And that makes me so goddamn mad because they could avoid this by properly using the steamworks api, but no instead they decide to just abandon the earlier versions and move on to the next one, which just fucks up the consumer.
So no whatever they just override the old exe and content instead of properly mounting it like any other game on steam would do.
It's so dumb that you have to get afterbirth to benefit from the butter bean buff and all the other improved synergies.
The new content IS being called Afterbirth+. Which makes me assume it'll be an update to Afterbirth DLC but you won't get it if you don't have Afterbirth??
I dunno I just think it'll sound real stupid when the two seperate DLCs we'll have for Isaac so far will be "Afterbirth" and, the totally seperate and unrelated, "Afterbirth+".

Brimstone+Monstro's Lung+Rubber Cement+Spoon Bender+Number One+ Guppy transformation
One of the best synergries I've ever had.
Bought Broken Watch in the Hush shop hoping for the slow assist in the Hush fight.
It sped the fight up.
I didn't last very long.

To be honest, he should've cleared those fires first. I always do that.
I managed to finally make myself small enough that I vanished.
I knew this was possible and I've seen people get VERY small but

He wanted to scum up the daily score by going deeper with the shovel, and instead it gave him a crawl space.

holy shit this guy is good
Oh man I just beat Mega Satan as the Keeper, no special tears either, but massive slowdown thanks to broken stopwatch.
Those sacrifice rooms are a godsend. Now to find Megablast..
Had a pretty decent run as the Lost. Then on the Womb 1 I got Brimstone, and told myself "I have to at least try the Hush."
Got Nine Lives and Guppy's Tail from the chests and item rooms thanks to Chaos. Became Guppy and did my victory lap to the Dark Room to fuck up the Lamb with ease. All that's left is Mega Stan and Godhead will be mine.
How long does it take to get the health from Abaddon?
There's always that start-up lag when you pick up an item, it would apply after the animation of him holding it in his hands.
How long does it take to get the health from Abaddon?
You gain it at the end of the pickup animation. You never die until the item effect has been applied in a devil room(so you'd survive having 0hp until you got abbadon's hearts, or the hearts from any other item you'd pick up), but the delay doesn't work if you take damage in that grace period
1001% finally
fuck the keeper and fuck this game I love it time to not touch it again for a month or ten
ring worm is a top tier trinket, I am completely serious
it's like a huge tear size upgrade with tear speed up, the fast circling motion hits everything I fucking love it

Ring Worm is what carried me through Suicide King :v:
The spinning and range up caused it to hit something 99% of the time to it never reflected back at me.

There's only one scenario where this doesn't break my brain. Is it counting each of the things chaining the head to the body as an enemy?

I think the only thing wrong here is using the D10 in any room before the Womb.
Or using the D10 in general.
