are Pedestal Item drops rare? I also never seen him drop one
I had Bumbo drop a pedestal item (I don't remember what it was but I know it was better than Monstro's Tooth).
Basically Bumbo is God.
Oh, really? Bumbo can drop pedestals? :v:
I checked platgod and it only said consumables so I didn't think he could actually drop pedestals.
Wow Bumbo is stupidly good. Don't see why anyone would ever take Bum Friend anymore unless you're going to Mega Bum.
No Bumbo, stop exploding my donation machine, I'm trying to get eveything!
(yes, for some reason he set off bombs in the item shop next to the donation machine).

BUMBO WANT COIN! BUMBO SAYS FUCK CHARITY!
Got that stupid glitch again where the game doesn't swap from red heart deals to soul heart deals upon exchanging your last red heart. I just happened to be carrying a temperance card tho and got a blood bag from it, saving the day

suck it, satan
Today I beat Greed mode with like 30 coins remaining and had the Greed machine jam on me after 1 use :suicide:
I really hate myself so much right now, today i failed two potentially successful runs as [sp]Keeper[/sp]
In the first one, i had mom's knife and tech x, i could defeat every boss with ease, then at cathedral i went to sacrifice room, forgot that 12th reward would send to dark room, then without thinking tried to do mega satan without getting to The Lamb first and died to Lust, at least i finished boss rush in that run.
In the second one i managed to get cursed eye and sacred heart at the first floor, everything was going well but then went to challenge room in the depths and accidentally ran onto mom's hand, then i tried to go to the room next to it, it was full of moving spike-blocks and i had to press two buttons, and then again, i rushed and ran onto it when i could just retreat or go to the another room further away.
Just remember, think about everything you do...
I did great on the daily, getting up to and beating satan. When I picked up the trophy, steam went offline and now checking again i see this

they really have to make a way for the game to keep the score in case steam goes offline
This is going to fuck up my greedbutt percentage
friend's idea: mind control tear effect that makes enemies follow your inputs. you could make them attack other enemies or walk into hazards.
I had a few ideas for potential items, one just being a general item and the others being part of a potential Nintendo themed challenge.
Firstly the random one.
[Pending Name]
Changes the priority for which hearts are lost when Issac takes damage. If he has a Soul Heart and a Red heart, he'll lose red hearts until he has half a red heart left, much like how blood banks drain red hearts first.
Then the themed items.
Bottle Rocket: Passive item
+5 Bombs
+20 Bomb damage
Upon pressing the Bomb Button, Issac holds the bomb above his head and throws it much like Bob's Rotten Head.
Sparkler Attack: Passive item.
Upon running 3/4 the length of a regular room in a straight line, Issac holds a sparkler in front of him, making him immune to damage and giving a temporary +1 speed up. Enemies that make contact with receive 100 damage.
Issac will continue this state until he changes direction (cannot be used diagonally), or hits a wall. Can be used passing through multiple rooms. Potentially synergies with How to Jump, in which Issac doesn't lose his sparkler during the jump.
Super Bomb: Active Item, no charge time.
+5 bombs on pickup
Upon use, consumes 3 bombs and Issac places a super bomb.
Super bomb destroys all breakable objects in the room, much like Hagalaz, including secret room entrances, and deals 4 hits to all enemies in the room dealing 20 damage each hit.
Nintendo themed challenge: start with regular Issac. All items in treasure rooms are themed around Metroid. All of the above, Cupid's Arrow, Ouija Board, Chocolate Milk, etc. Goal is to beat Lamb.
B̶e̶ ̶w̶a̶r̶y̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶p̶i̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶D̶r̶.̶F̶e̶t̶u̶s̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶i̶p̶e̶c̶a̶c̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶r̶e̶v̶e̶r̶s̶e̶,̶ ̶l̶o̶o̶k̶s̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶f̶i̶x̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶m̶m̶u̶n̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶t̶s̶.̶ False alarm, its mixing ipecac+dr.fetus with monstro's lung that does that.
In my case I was the keeper with ipecac and monstro's lung and picked up Dr.Fetus in the Chest, luckily I had swallowed penny and could ohko everything at the price of bombs exploding right when I shoot, including ???.
Bottle Rocket sounds like a pretty great item.
Oh, they buffed Bumbo? Great, maybe I will get to have him for once in my life, i have unlocked him in my first hours of Afterbirth and nothing.
I've only seen Bumbo when im spamming D4 / D100
I've actually gotten Bumbo quite a few times.
He's honestly really fun and feels like a buddy playing with you.
I thought Bumbo would be hard to raise, but twice now I've been able to get him to full in just a few floors and he's a great asset if you're willing to sacrifice using the shop

thank you godhead pickup

I just got a full bumbo for the first time. Couldn't have beat hush without him.
hey fuck the red champion versions of mega fatty and mega maw
After extensive testing, I have finally come to the conclusion that Brownie is very close to the Bloat and Stain tier of Fuckface asshat.

You know, I should agree with you. But pretty much every time I fight Brownie I manage to defeat it's barrage of fucking insane bullets by standing completely still. Dunno how it works but it does.
That's basically what happens to me, though I fought him one too many times as the lost and finally took the time to actually asses his moves.
I think my biggest problem with him is the fact that he's as big as regular Gurdy, and yet he jumps around the room almost as much as Gurdy Jr. all while constantly spawning either mines or corn dips that actually do move as fast as Gurdy Jr.
brownie kills himself every time I fight him?
though when afterbirth first came out i'm pretty sure he was bugged because he was operating on 3x his current speed. at that point I was like "OKAY THIS BOSS IS NOT OKAY" but nowadays he just poisons himself from I don't know what and basically dies very quick
Brownie is weird.
50% of the time he seems to just die really quick, but if he doesn't, he's a fucking pain in the ass to deal with - spamming the screen with bullets, enemies, mines and god knows what, all whilst jumping around at an unreasonable pace for his size.
you guys ever seen mega satan's hand slams with curse of the darkness? does a pretty cool red ripple effect that's more pronounced from the darkness. no idea if it's there normally.
I, and other people, have said this before, but mom's hands need to have some other way to tell they're coming than the laugh and shadow. I know i shouldn't but i play the game with lower sound because reasons, and the hands can be pretty difficult to know are coming. What to do about it? I don't know.

It's not perfect, but what I do is if the doors are closed and there's no buttons to open them, I don't stop moving and try not to backtrack until they are.

if you play long enough you tend to remember what rooms have hands. even if you don't, if the doors are locked and there's been a long lull before something could pop up, automatically expect a pin or mom's hand. the above post suggests a core mechanic to the game as well, which is creating safe paths for yourself for chasing/approaching enemies. in this case, circles around the room tend to do the trick.
you wanna know the REAL problem with the hands though, is that there's no tell on whether they're skeleton hands or not.

Maybe like blood drops from the ceiling if it's a Mom's Hand, and bone chips if it's a skeleton hand?
