After Bumbo collects 20 cents that you have no choice to give to him because he now has super speed, Bumbo turns into a version of Dark Bum who instead of going around collecting red hearts, takes a half heart (one full heart beyond the depths) from Issac every time Issac Bumps into him, and in return gives Spike chests.

Alright so I don't know who spread the slander that Bumbo doesn't deal contact damage anymore but I found out on my most recent run that he most certainly still does. So unless they sent out a hotfix recently that was a lie.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/uTNbvRj.png[/t] Finally done with this piece of shit. I'd like to thank Humbling Bundle, Chaos and Restock for that win. Without it I wouldn't have gotten Skinny Odd Mushroom and all the damage ups that carried me through Dark Room, Lamb and Mega Satan on that last run.

Keeper is the least fun character to play, I find. However I've just managed to beat Hush with him, sadly missing the opportunity to fight Mega Satan on that run... Mega Satan as Keeper is the last ending I need!

I don't come here often, but just wanna complain about some of the Afterbirth challenges. Seriously, they're not fun, and some of them feel straight up unfair. Is there some super item I can get that will just make them all super easy to complete?

Super item? Cheat Engine should do the trick.

Well obviously without cheating! Eh, I'm just sour that I have to rely more on items rather than my own abilities to be able to complete the challenges. I'd just like to be over with them before I move on to regular gameplay again.

Funny enough, it's Brains! and Blue Bomber (I think that's what it's called?). Even when I get some really good items, something always goes wrong (either tiny rooms which fucks me over, or just really, really bad luck).

just be patient with brains. it's hard to play slower than you're used to in isaac. the brain timers dictate every aspect of that run. you deal with that. blue bomber is whatever. tends to be based on luck.

I randomed a Keeper run today, and while I expected to just die on the Caves and then try another character, I actually got Holy Mantle on the first item room :v: With Tech X showing up later, and a couple other nice items, I was able to actually clutch a win with the fucker.

The good thing is this one is that doesn't totally depend on getting good items to cheese it. Explosion protection such as Pyromaniac or Host Hat would be run-winning of course, but I didn't need them in the end... Just had to learn the timing of the brains, refrain from charging in guns blazing and playing smart (prioritising targets, spacing and timing specifically). Blue Bomber I'll have to have another look at, I don't recall having particular trouble with that one.

Hahaha about 5 attempts today but I finally got Mega Satan as Keeper. No Gnawed Leaf or any cheap stuff like that; battery baby kept my wooden coin charged, a resistance rune to use in a pinch, and a huge rate of fire. Suck my pixie dick Mega Satan

How to Blue Bomber: Dark Bum + Humbling Bundle Granted, that'll carry you through any ??? playthrough but it sure as hell carried me through my Blue Bomber Run.

I ended up finding a room with a Battery, chest with a trinket inside, and a key. [media]http://imgur.com/a/bnA2N[/media] After finding the gold key in a room, the Black Card in the shop, and Jera from Floor 1, this is what it took to get Isaac and the Missing Poster in the same room. Spoiler alert though, not only did I quit in a fit of rage not to save the seed, there were so many chests I missed the spikes on the floor and hurt myself three times

371 hours in. Only the keeper left. After all of my amazing runs as the Lost, beating Mega Satan, Hush, and Ultra Greed I thought I would have some amazing insight into how to play as him. But it really just comes down to getting lucky with items. Every amazing run I had was purely due to getting insanely lucky synergies with my items. [editline]15th February 2016[/editline] Actually, I guess the one trick is that for beating Mega Satan it's much easier to just restart until you get Dad's Key. Then you don't have to skip all the devil deals.
