I got sick of Isaac a while ago and started back up again, and I'm enjoying it a lot [sp]fuck greed mode[/sp]. I'll probably preorder again, mainly because I'll eventually buy it anyways and why not just get the pre-order bonus? I won't enjoy doing it though, Ed's been really getting on my nerves, especially after Afterbirth's abortion of a launch. He's way too immature and unprofessional, and I get that's what a lot of people like about him, but he just crosses the line too often.

Bumbo's art style reminds me of Paper Mario.

Afterbirth left me with pretty lukewarm feelings. It was the only major update that I wasn't 100% thrilled with, and it's the first time I haven't been driven to 100% anything Isaac-related. Well, that and the inexplicable update to the original game that came out AFTER Rebirth. I figure if there's any last redemption for the game, it'll be AB+. Even if the update itself sucks, the modding tools should allow for a lot more lasting fun. Theoretically.

I don't like hearing "by the end of the year"

i just want them to fix the shit where you can't see the red flash for charge attacks anymore if you pick up certain face changing items already. I shouldn't have to fuck about with fan mods for old annoying gameplay bugs like that. But I'm sure they've probably already figured out a fix and are just gonna save it to release it with AB+, which is annoying

I'd like to see ways to make entirely new games based on the Issac engine. Like what if there was some way to put in a Necrodancer-esque rhythm system or maybe a class based co-op system where you have different character provide different roles, and teams have to decide which character gets which item whenever they come across one. There's a lot that can be expanded on with something as solid and basic the BOI gameplay style.

i just think they're not playing up the fact so much that they're ending all development with AB+. they kinda just slipped that in, i almost missed it entirely. wouldn't they rather go out with a bang instead?

I think I might just be underwhelmed by the name "Afterbirth+". It sounds like this is just shit that they didn't have time to put in (to the person who doesn't know otherwise). Also the end of an era is always sad.

Yeah, "Afterbirth+" isn't much of an expansion name if you ask me. I was thinking maybe "Stillbirth", but if the expansion sucked then the name would be tragically apt.
