I only have access to two of the new challenges at the moment, April's Fool and Pokey Mans. April's Fool seems to just make it so that item sprites don't match their effects. I picked up what I thought was Monstro's Tooth and was given Hot Bombs. Pokey Mans just seems to start you with the Friendly Ball and Mom's Eyeshadow, don't know if it does anything more complex. EDIT: If you use MissingHud, don't bother trying to use it with Afterbirth+. It just crashes the game.
I'm gonna sit out the early adopter period. After the mess that was the release of afterbirth paired with the mere concept of paying for bugfixes as DLC, I'm not going to be taking any risks. Kilburn's impressions of the modding tools being less than stellar was the nail in the coffin for any sort of expectations I could have had for the expansion. If it's a rough ride, I wish that all of you taking the dive have a smooth journey. I'm going to hang back with Antibirth until dust settles and any really bad launch decisions are outed.

Oh, nice. EDIT: There's now a chance that hostile shopkeepers will spawn in item rooms. Fuck's sake.
New item [sp]"The World", a new spacebar item that completely freeze enemies and bullets for 9 seconds and grants an improved Charm Of The Vampire effect while it's active.[/sp] Cheevos

[t]http://i.imgur.com/ne6uBDr.png[/t] Dude what the fuck
Shit finally releases when I'm away from home for like 4 hours. I'll look forward to diving in when I get back at least [editline]3rd January 2017[/editline]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ne6uBDr.png[/t] Dude what the fuck
lmao they just don't understand the concept of balance. O well some things never change
Word from one of my friends is that one of the unlockables for resetting too many times is [sp]soul hearts occasionally spawning as half-soul hearts[/sp]. This feels like even more of a dick move than the Sticky Nickels debacle.
Run into this already since I keep getting spiked item rooms. One spiked room had unbreakable rocks. For Bob's Brain. Like seriously its not even fun

It's not strictly making a handful of nickles worse, it's making pennies potentially better. Kicking reset whoring in the dick is funny because you shouldn't be doing that in the first place, but then of course you have the Lost and Keeper where that's really the only justification for mashing the reset button because they simply were not fun to play as. The prevalence of spiked item rooms is slanting in the direction though, it already cost a key to get in.
[sp]The chance of angel rooms seems to be increased, and taking red heart damage doesn't seem to lower it.[/sp] At least that's nice I guess.
lmao they just don't understand the concept of balance. O well some things never change
I died on that room because I couldn't damage the stone guys and dry baby refuses to help

If I want to sit there and mash the reset key, the game shouldn't be penalising me for that. Nicalis/Ed really don't get this concept.
Killing [sp]Hush will unlock the Void as a "New Area".[/sp]
Myself and a friend have experienced getting The Bloat as early as the FIRST FLOOR in a run, so I think either they have absolutely no idea how to balance a game or it's bugged to shit. I honestly feel like AB+ has ruined the game for me because it penalizes you for certain actions now like resetting too many times in a row. Also this: Yes, that is an item room with a turd and a trinket instead of an item. I feel they're actually out to make this game as miserable for the player as it is for Isaac.
Well I got the DLC and now my game refuses to open. The steak is so precious I can't even eat it.
I died on that room because I couldn't damage the stone guys and dry baby refuses to help
Stone men are actually invincible, focus on killing the other guys. The stone men just act like the skulls, except they follow you. Also, I just ran into a iron chest that sprouted spikes. WHY.
Game doesn't open for me, the steak is still on the cow. Got mine working by reinstalling it. Those portals are really annoying though, especially when you arent strong enough.

Nicalis/Ed really don't get this concept.
There's a difference between restarting because the first 2 floors are entirely shit and restarting because you didn't get a carry item right out the gate. More people did the latter when it came to those 2 "challenge" characters because they didn't want to be assed to play as them. Resetting otherwise just winds up taking more time resetting until you get something that'll hold your hand for the game rather than just taking your lumps with an okay item and snowballing into the future floors. If you're wanting a specific item or combination, look up a seed that has them so you can go on a powertrip instead of grinding out RNG until you get it. If you're the kind of person who has more fun holding the R button until the game offers to wipe your ass for you, go right ahead. Singleplayer or otherwise, you're still the one that wound up spending more time resetting than trying to muscle through the first couple floors.
