The final boss room is nothing but reskins
The new bosses are reskins of others and don't bring anything new to the table
The modding tools are absolute dogshite that makes the likes of AAA devs that do it look even more competent.

Well the most I'm hoping for right now is for mods to gut all the dumb bullshit and keep the fun stuff. Void is really fun and the challenges are pretty cool.
That is if modders can even figure out the documentation.

The Sister Vis (I think is the name?) is also new.
Not to mention the final ending [sp] doesn't tell us anything new and doesn't give us any closure whatsoever. The entire ending is just isaac flashing through how shit is life is after his dad left (Something that the other endings told us already without blatantly throwing it in our faces) and it shows mom finding Isaac's skeleton in the chest just like the hush ending, only now it ends with Isaac back in what I can only assume is purgatory and he just walks off into the distance.[/sp]
I knew this expansion was going to be complete shite and yet I STILL find myself getting mad at it.

The modding tools don't look that bad it's just that there is zero documentation on how to use them

ed used to be one of my favorite developers and it's really disappointing to see what he's been doing lately. i'm going to be incredibly hesitant to buy anything else he puts out in the future.

yeah for real watching indie game the movie back in the day was a huge inspiration and he seemed like a such a genuinely cool guy (and most importantly made awesome games) and now he just puts out garbage. guess hes got a babby and all so i can't be that annoyed but still a real shame.
Just got in from work, totally expected this mess when I saw how desperate Ed was to include Anti with the expansion. But even NL is annoyed, goddamn.

Yeah, it can be a bit extreme, but I feel like his social media presence has become more and more antagonistic to his fanbase over the years, which is frustrating.
Especially considering that his work appears to be more and more antagonistic to the player as well, and not in an enjoyable way.

i don't think many people think edmund is literally scum i just think people are sick of him acting like a moron on social media and putting out paid content that is extremely lazy and just makes the game less fun, especially when the base game is so good and has so much potential (as demonstrated by antibirth)
