I officially give up on Greedier mode. I just had the best run I've had in ages (decent health, flight, projectile protection, crazy fire rate + damage, fear shot), got up to ultra greed and finished him no problem. But I couldn't even get phase 2 down to a quarter of his HP before I got smashed to bits. I mean what the actual fuck...
i've been doing greedier mode runs by trying to get blank card or d20 first floor. I give up on edmund's badly designed bullshit
I've never played greed mode fairly. If I dont get a damage up on the first floor I reset Tell me I'm a scumbag I don't care
I've only tried greedier mode once, but i got the godhead on floor one and spent most of my fight with greed phase 2 with the long ass shield rune active, so i think i was blessed by the gods :v:
I feel like you need luck to beat a greedier run. I had Mom's Knife and insane damage but that stupid damage resistance still made the fight last forever. I really want a mod to remove it.
Damage resistance sometimes can be so fucking stupid in this game. It turns into "lol hope you played alot of bullet hell games or have a shitton of hp/defensive items" and alot of runs become useless because they are based on the glass cannon style. also why the fuck does big horn have that?

I dislike that I have to choose between having like 40 fun new items in the game with nice cosmetic mods or being able to get achievements.

How many enemies do you plan to make?
Afterbirth+ has been growing on me. A lot of the complaints I had have been fixed, and I think I was a bit harsh on it to begin with. Delirium is actually a pretty cool boss when it has actual animations, albeit a bit hard to follow. Apollyon is an incredibly fun character, too. I still think The Void is kind of a lazily designed floor, and Greedier mode is bullshit, but all things considered, I think I'm enjoying AB+.

I'd been thinking up various enemy ideas since the mod support was announced and I've got somewhere near 80 of them now. I'm making pretty good progress, I've done 10 of them so far. The main obstacle at the moment is the NPC:FireProjectiles method being broken so I can't create enemies with unique fire patterns yet.

They either travel towards you in a more or less straight line, or pop up somewhere the same distance away from you as they were before they went under, unless they were particularly close in which case there is a minimum distance they will be away from you when they pop up.
one good thing in afterbirth+ is that big horn has a small crack open up when he's about to surface if that could be spread to every burrowing enemy i'd have about .8 less aneurysms per playthrough
In my honest opinion, Big Horn should not be a cave boss. I would consider him more of a depth boss. At that point, you have decent DPS, health and bombs to hurt him. He's way too tanky as a boss in the early game runs.
He's tanky partly because of health scaling. Bosses with health scaling are two end bosses, Hush and Ultra Greed... and Big Horn.
I assume the health scaling was added, because of his weakness once you shove a bomb in his mouth. That can be a bit tricky to pull off, if you have any bombs left. Regardless, I think he needs to be put in the Depth boss category.

I do agree though, he feels much more like a depths boss.
I was on the Womb 1 and had a pretty good feeling about beating the Double Trouble challenge, and then I got Double Double Trouble The Cage.
