I liked the idea of all the monsters in the basement being all the dead Isaacs of your past runs, depending on how he died. Die by flies and Isaac becomes a mulligan and goes down the evolution line, or die with a familiar and it and Isaac slowly fuse together to become a Gemini.

I thought it was established that maggy is just a crossdressing Isaac because Edmund talked about a friend who was forced to wear girl's clothes by his parents. Edit: of course it might be the case that there was a real maggy (perhaps aborted since she shows up as a fetus) who Isaac's mom was dressing him up as.

Well, finally got a run where I got to the end of the Dark room with Lost, and all it took was homing Ludovico Brimstone with Guppy on top of it. Still died in the Boss Rush to Death of all things due to forgetting his dismount, and I even had a broken stopwatch assist me then. [sp]Yes I saveedited in Holy Mantle and D6 but that's the only way Lost can be playable. I'm just skipping the tedium.[/sp]

It's gotta be a psychological theme, since so many of the enemies are designed to resemble Isaac. That and personified mommy issues. Unless the comic wants to go on to explain that Isaac's dad did experiments on him to give him radioactive acidic projectile tears or some shit

Or really, maybe the comic is just a silly thing and you shouldn't take it seriously. :v: I think even the author said so in that Reddit thread.

OR, if we go by the Isaac Is In Hell theory, wherein everything is a demon that wants to kill you, Isaac's eyes are blessed. And by that, I mean his tears act like holy water that hurts demons. Though with that in mind one could wonder why, when Isaac equips certain demonic items, his eyes don't burn their way out of his head and fall out of his arse. But in that case you could argue suspension of belief, like so many things.

Man, the game today just threw Brimstone at me like candy. That was an easy few runs. Especially when each was benefitted by Ludo, inner eye, Spoon Bender, and/or Tammy. Oh, and got godhead. Sure I don't feel as accomplished due to the saveediting but fuck that shit.

Without mantle it takes me an hour just to get to the caves without dying and D6 because the game had some sick fetish for HP ups whenever I go Lost. But most of the Brimstones showed up when i didn't start with the D6. Weird.

I can understand save editing in one item cause yknow that just saves resets, but come on man 2?

Heh, the D6 was out of rage after i died on a run due to lack of damage due to the game giving me 4 HP up items in 3 floors. D6 ended up not being used at all in the later runs when I got favorable items

Gonna come out and say it. The guy on the subreddit that's not Sagittarius who's also making levels and enemies that people seem to like and even make music for isn't very good.

Well Nicalis hired her so she clearly has talent. [editline]don't mind me just putting this here[/editline] However I am fairly annoyed at the trend she kicked off where everyone and their dogs are now filling the subreddit with enemy, boss, item and floor ideas. True, people were doing it before she did, but the quality and popularity of her content has caused a wave of ideas guys to flood it with mediocre art and shitty ideas and it's a bit of a pain to slog through.
