Yeah roundabout that time methinks. 'cause currently there's no incentive to put off Boss Rush until you've beat Mom's Heart, when you can easily just do it after beating Mom in Depths/Necropolis 2 within the time limit. Hell when I went on my "get everyone's Boss Rush item" spree, I kept on doing just those runs (a fair few successes) and never dove into the Womb/Utero since I'd already gotten the Heaven and Hell items for just about everyone. Though I've still yet to get Blue Baby to beat the Heaven/Hell levels, but I know that getting the Heaven items will be so much easier with the Polaroid synergy giving those all-important invincibility frames.

My hope is that if it is a second boss rush, the timer gets an extension if you do the first boss rush. That way you can do both of them in a crazy marathon instead of having to pick one or the other.

If there was a reward for doing both rushes, yes, otherwise you could probably easily complete either of them in separate runs.

Nah fuck that, I just want to challenge. See how far I can push the envelope with only 20 minutes to beat Mom. The usual case is just getting overpowered items early on and steamrolling the game, and that's simply not entertaining enough once you get over that powertrip feeling. Marathons, man.

3 Mom items out of 14+, 4 of them being somewhat common boss drops (Mom's Heels/Underwear/Lipstick/Coin Purse), 2 of them being often found in the shop (Mom's Purse/Bottle of Pills). Guppy was already bad enough, now with 8 more transformations it seems like you won't ever complete a run without getting at least one of them.

Guppy was something you could deliberately manipulate in order to get, taking devil deals, rerolling devil items if they don't suit your goals, visiting curse rooms, opening all red chests, and grabbing Left Hand all contributed toward becoming Guppy. For Mom items, there's no guaranteed way to manipulate anything other than praying that a boss item has "Mom" in the name, the other pools with Mom items are so vast that rerolling is going to be a total crapshoot unless you're breaking the game, and at that point you may as well get every transformation you'd ever want. It's like Lord of the Flies, the items are scattered all over the pools, and there's no way to guarantee any fly items other than winning Skatole in an arcade or reroll-mashing in a shop for Hive Mind or something. Only reason Guppy is bad is because Ed made it really easy to get Guppy items and continue to get Guppy items, then made it even easier by adding more Guppy items into the mix.

Probably won't be as useful as Guppy anyway. Doubt it will have flying and a non-movable backwards facing knife seems pointless at best.

Got real platinum god, took me just a bit longer than the original game probably thanks to the lost. Last achievement was meat boy of course, i'd already lucked out and gotten bandage girl unintentionally so i was just resetting until i got a good run for breaking in the chest. A bit underwhelming at the end, but the real victory was when i had finished the Lost. That felt goood

So the update for the original is out, and it's not fun at all. I had Ipecac and Polyphemus, 30 soul hearts, was not able to kill white Blue Baby. Nice balancing Florian. (This is coming from a guy who thinks that doing runs as the Lost is easy)

I died on basement 2 with mom's knife. Wow I had forgotten what playing with 10 fps felt like lol

That was how I first beat my second run in the original. First run ended shortly when I used Dead Sea Scrolls and exploded.

So yeah i just saw a video on the eternal edition and I'm not impressed. From what i understood the eternal versions bosses have more hp,hp regen,some even spawn adds. Can anyone tell me their experience with the new version?Is it any good?
