Looks like he froze the frame that isaac is playing in.

To me it just looks like silly testing code designed to do exactly what's in the video. Other than that all I can add is it looks like they use lua.
Perhaps testing a scripted way to move isaac during in-game cutscenes and the like?

No Isaac, you are the orbitals.
The code Tyrone posted is written in lua.
Something tells me they might be working on official Modding Api
I don't think Rebirth's engine was using lua or was it?
No, but a modder on here got lua working with Rebirth. This is certainly an official version of the same thing for modding.
I never really got into the PC version of Isaac, but for some reason I'm much more addicted to the 3DS version.
Maybe because I find it better to play on a smaller screen?
So while I was on a lost run, I confronted a host. Went into it's line of sight so it and pop up and attack so I can attack.
The thing fired at me without popping up, kills me, then during my death animation it pops up.
Polyphemus + proptosis + death's touch + judas' shadow + dead onion + scorpio + cricket's body

Literally every time I attack, this. And a lot of lag. Send help.

Decided to fight mega satan since one of the last chests gave me dad's key. Just for the fuck of it I didn't move or look at the screen even once until I heard the ending cutscene. I still had seven hearts left.
Moments like these are why I bought this game.

i just beat mega-satan on my first try.
FUCK.

first try, won The Purist. I realized the unholy power of a temperance machine mixed with the bloody penny, plus Humbling Bundle meant i could max out on money. It only continued when the machine exploded into it's portable version.

From the article:
Okay. There's a new familiar that levels up as you do things. It's kind of like a Meat Boy, but more realistic as far as being able to max it out. And if people like that, that's something I'd like to do more of in the future.
This item sounds interesting. I always liked how stacking cubes of meat substantially changed how the item behaved, rather than just giving you an extra orbital.
He mentions how it's "more realistic", I wonder what he means by that.
The Purist is the easiest challenge if you haven't unlocked the d6

as far as being able to max it out.
Meaning it won't be stupid rare.

The Blinding of Isaac.
I think we can all agree that double adversary in the chest is 10 times harder then megasatan.
Adversary earlier in the game is harder. The chest is usually a roll thanks to the 4 items.
Adversary is unpleasant to fight in every scenario except ones where you can just quickly cheap him to death.
Haunt is the same deal. That thing is rough for a first floor boss, especially if you have low speed from pills or your character choice.

Jesus that does seem op, plus rip curse of darkness.
Considering curse of darkness makes the game almost unplayable on 3DS (due to improper gamma) if you get it in the caves, catacombs, depths, necropolis or sheol, I can't say I'd feel bad about that.
If you look closely it also appears to have a fairly limited range compared to how long the beam is visually. He's only slowing them once they're within maybe half his tear range or less.

does it stack with the time watch? no? then not op.
does it stack with the time watch? no? then not op.
That's what I was thinking, there's already a bunch of items that cause slow, and some do it even better than that. Not something you'd pass on picking up but I think saying it's op is an exaggeration
Got a neat item combo from a D6 run and I think it could make for a fun challenge with some tweaks
Sniper challenge: Polyphemus + Lump of coal + Ouija board + How to jump + Whip worm, starts with minimum tears / speed stats and maximum range / shot speed stats. Your shots deal very high damage and travel extremely far and fast, but your fire rate is less than one shot per second, slower than even ipecac. Use your tears' enormous knockback to keep homing enemies at bay, use jumping to avoid danger and quickly create large gaps between you and the enemy to maximize lump of coal's damage boost. Seek speed and tears boosts whenever possible, and especially be on the look out for some form of flight, as this combined with spectral lets you shoot from anywhere in the room, greatly increasing coal's effectiveness.
[editline]t[/editline]
And another one
Pay to win challenge: Blindfolded, Cain with +4 hearts, Dollar + Money = power + Piggy bank + Starter deck (Temperance + Credit card) + Magic fingers + Counterfeit penny. Takes place under PAY2 PLAY seed rules in which every single item and pickup (except coins) must be bought as if it were in a shop. Item rooms and shops are available, but item room items must still be purchased. Money is extremely precious in this challenge, and since it is your only source of damage, you have to spend it wisely. Only buy what you need when you need it, use the credit card to get one must-have item free, and avoid spamming magic fingers so you don't waste money. If you run out, take damage to get more; you can use the temperance card to generate a great deal of money in a desperate situation when you can afford to spare the health.

Buying it for my birthday and then an extra copy for my buddy when his rolls around
I really hope it doesn't take too long to come to consoles...
I can't run the game on my computer and I don't want to have to sit out for too long.
