Yep, I guess I know how I'm spending my Halloween. I would say "playing Afterbirth", but in reality it's "working the pub kitchens". Though I'm bound to fire it up after work and pizza.

You know how October-Nov.-Dec. is the usual release for super big games? this year i'm ignoring them for Afterbirth. I think the timing is perfect

I didn't realise that making a trapdoor in womb 1 took you straight to Sheol. Combining this with the emperor card meant that I basically went straight from Mom to Satan. After all these hours there is still so many little things to discover.

When I only had like 5 hours I somehow managed to get to dark room without having the negative or womb unlocked. I was super confused but somehow almost managed to get to the lamb. but double adversary fucked me up right before I got to the boss.

I wound up in the chest without even unlocking the cathedral yet through a combination of I AM ERROR on womb 2 with a shaft of light and black market in the cathedral. Unfortunately I didn't have much health so I got wiped in a 2x2 room with eight mini monstro. Don't think I'll ever get that lucky again. [editline]t[/editline] The series of events as far as I can remember it: Go in curse room in womb 2 left of spawn, open chest for pills, telepills to I AM ERROR with light shaft to cathedral, go left after arriving in the cathedral and end up in super wrath room, a cellar door wound up exposed during the fight, turned out to be black market with another pillar of light for the chest. Between womb 1's boss and the chest, I didn't actually clear any rooms.

But once I go a couple rooms in, black lines fill the screen and the game slows to a halt and I have to close it. The room I spawn in though functions completely fine though. It's so weird.

Judas really should be given a nerfed version of judas' shadow as a starting item. Success or failure for a judas run often depends on whether or not the first boss is one that deals a full heart of damage. Instant death from the first boss is fine if you're playing the lost, it's downright expected, but he has flight to deal with cluttered boss rooms, whereas judas does not and can die just as easily in some cases.

It's so weird.[/QUOTE] That does sound like a Graphics Card problem. Try updating or reinstalling your graphic drivers and maybe that will fix it. If not you might need a new graphics card. I've seen people mention the same thing on the Rebirth community page but apparently no one has helped them.

Having a few games to prepare for the release of the expansion, completing endings on hardmode for characters I hadn't gotten around to. Got all 5 hardmode endings as Eve within 2 runs! Love having good luck like that.

He's the titular glass cannon character. Even if you die on the first floor it's not that big of a deal since you hardly made any progress anyway. Besides that's what the Book of Belial is for, kill things before they can touch you.

Giving him the shadow would encourage riskier play as well, since if you die you're just going to be rewarded with even more damage. Though judas' version might follow blue baby rules to balance it out a bit. Only soul and black hearts, with an increased chance to find black hearts instead of soul. [editline]t[/editline] They'd both have a benefit to them. Judas gets devil deals significantly cheaper thanks to red hearts, the shadow has higher damage output overall. This adds a new dynamic to him similar to Lazarus; do you change immediately and take the risk? Or wait until you have enough power to maximize it first?

The good luck continues... Had a run with Dark Bum, the 'reusable evil' book, and a soul generator meaning essentially endless soul hearts. Then brimstone. Then homing brimstone. Now that's an awesome combo!

Speaking of great runs, I just wound up getting my first chest loop streak with undefined. Looped nine times before I wound up a room short of charging it again. Learned a lot about different potential I AM ERROR room layouts, including... Thiiiiis? [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/qZB4GcT.jpg[/IMG] I'm still seeing so many things I never knew existed.

I think I've only ever seen that room once in my entire Isaac career! Couldn't even tell you how to get to it

IIRC you have a 1/256 chance of winding up there from using any form of teleportation, except for red chests (never) and the undefined item (1/5) Using undefined is the easiest way to find it, and since there are no item rooms or shops in the chest or dark room, it's a 3/5 chance, allowing you to loop that floor indefinitely until you get unlucky and fail 60% odds twice (three times if every room has enemies)

I'm only 1 item away from getting real platinum god, the item in question is Raw Liver. Throughout my 310 hours playing the game I have never found it. So I've spent about 3 hours over the last couple days literally "R" scumming to find secret rooms with in it to no avail. However I have found [B]every single other secret room item multiple times[/B]. Is the game just fucking with me at this point?

I ended up finding it in the womb. It sucks, hope you can find it, winning with the lost was hard enough.

What I did was find a Wheel of Fortune card, take it to the Chest, use it in the secret room and reroll until I got it. It took several runs, but it was way faster than breaking my R key.

As Isaac you can get pandora's box and spawn an item straight into the secret room. If you reroll it, it will become a secret room pool item.

still trying to get a past the boss rush with the lost, it's not fun at all.

Had a nice run going as Isaac, had Tammy's head with massive pulsating poison fear shots with max damage, as well as boomerang tears and rubber cement. With the habit, I was able to spew out massive clouds of poison fear shots that nearly orbited around me bouncing of everything. Mask of Infamy and Holy Mantle also kept me safe. Then I got to the chest, and was making short work of everything and was confident I was going to clear it. Then I accidentally touched IUPAC

The site doesn't look awful but it has a tendency to look worse after every update. If there's anything to be really concerned about it's probably what the top three mods look like.
