Right. That will indeed be a challenge. I suppose there's one boss per character on both normal and hard difficulty?
Well there are 5 "final" bosses that unlock items when you beat them with each character. The heart stops being the final boss after you beat it enough times. Then two new post-heart routes open up, each with their own final boss. And after you beat each of THOSE bosses enough times, you unlock an even FURTHER level on each route, each with ONE MORE final boss.
The only unlocks you get for beating hard mode are cosmetic co-op skins, and one item for The Lost. But you have a long way to go before you have to worry about playing The Lost.
you should always paly hard mode since the changeto hard as the lost, the only thing it affects now are hearts dropped but he can't even use hearts
And champions are more common while also not having the guaranteed drops they have in normal mode.
Anyone know a way I can expedite hunting down the last 2 secret room items i need to find, and the last angel room item i need to find? Anything i can do other than playing as isaac, checking for every secret room, not taking devil deals, and HOPING i get a rosary bead?
It kinda sucks because two of the items I need to find are available from the start of the game. So in 127 hours, I somehow have never randomly run across them in all the angel rooms and secret rooms.
ok, I found the last angel room item. Now I just need to find 2 secret room items. And it is so dull hunting down these last two. I've spent the last hour re-playing floor 1, bombing into each secret room, and not one of them has even had a pedestal item in it. Is there anything else I should know about trying this? Like does the first floor's secret room never contain a pedestal item?
This might be worse than trying to make meat boy and bandage girl.
shit guys, im in the middle of the fastest run ever (for me), so far im 18:48 minutes in and just finished the boss rush!

ok run finished, killed blue baby before he even got his wings lol! i forgot to look at the time, but i know fore sure i emptied all the rooms in the treasure box in 31min (discarding the golden door)
Got a satisfying Eden run, starting out with Fire Bombs, a Blank Card and a Hierophant card, enabling Soul Hearts from here to Peterborough, along with various damage-boosting items to enable a successful Lamb kill. Honestly, if the items in Isaac made you look like a Cenobite, the items of this run woulda made Pinhead look like a feeble cosplayer.
I like how how 3 gold chests gave me bobs brain (in the same run)(2 of em on the same floor)
... NO MEANS NO! GODDAMNIT!
I think it this run too (which was fun as fuck you should try this seed)(also you could see what happens when you pick up 3 bobs brains)

azazel run, take the route to cathedral, you might not need the quad shot item in the beginning, makes chargeup takes like 4 whole seconds.
also in the chest level, whenever I open a silver chest it automatically transforms into a gold chest, is that normal?
Finally find Pyromaniac in the first treasure room!
If only I wasn't playing Blue Baby.
Also is a -21 streak normal for players, or should I just uninstall? I'm actually trying, but no matter the character I use some circumstance hits me, like a labyrinth game throwing 2 bosses at me I never faced before, or one of those stat shuffle powerups that takes away all my health and puts it into range, or a unknown curse giving me soymilk late game.

At the very least no rogue explosions will ruin your run.
Ughhh, fuck curses of the unknown.
Curse of the blind is the only one I can't get behind. Like, you're betting your run right there on the line, what if that golden room item is tiny planet?

I did happen to fuck myself over combining IPECAC with mom's eye that way
I just had the most ridiculously OP Azazel run ever. Became Guppy three floors in, got only one damage upgrade, Cricket's Head, and only angel rooms throughout - Which was good, as it let me get the trinity shield (Blocks all shots from the direction you're firing in) I then found the holy grail of Azazel items, Tammy's head, which let me fire six (short range) brimstone beams of mass fly generation and ass kickery once per room, meaning I could blow through a room and destroy everything in it, most bosses included, while generating obscene amounts of flies and losing very few. Then I walked into a store in Depths II and found Hive Mind.
[sp]It Lives[/sp] went down in under a second, [sp]Satan's[/sp] phases died within three to five each, and [sp]The Lamb[/sp] went down in about five seconds total. I managed to kill The Lamb so fast that the body of it lay over the final chest and prevented me from finishing the game(Until I left the room and came back, anyway).

Well I unlocked [sp]Satan[/sp] and then immediately wrecked him by becoming the Lord of Fiery Rings, God of Poo.
Am I the only one here playing literally ONLY Azarel? I mean, you have infinite fly, you don't have to care about rocks, spikes or pits, and the attack, oh man, the attack is just so outrageously overpowered against all types of enemies, the only real downside being the range, so it's just dangerous to yourself against explosive enemies, but, who cares, you just instakill most of the enemies before they can even shoot at you, not to mention that it's incredibly efficient against bosses.
Now, really, the game looks hard and slow when I'm not playing Azarel, whereas it's already my 6th winstreak on hard with azarel.
Azazel is this game's easy mode.
Personally I'd feel bad for playing the same game on easy mode over and over again. :v:
I don't play Azazel because I just find him too easy, then there's the fact he doesn't have tears so you can't have SUPER crazy weird tear effects going on.

By the end you get Ludovico in the cellar, Brimstone in the Caves , and Tammy's Head in the Womb.
Need I say more?
Carrion Queen ruined a soy milk/Mulligan run.

I find Azezel boring because barely anything stacks with his attack.
Judas > Azazel

I'm not seeing Ludo in the cellar. I'm guessing you don't have everything unlocked since the items aren't really set, but sorta depend on what shit you have unlocked when you play them.
Judas > Azazel
Judas = D6 Isaac > Everyone else
I've managed to get 4 Bob's heads in one single floor (The cathedral).
That should be an achievement.
I once got two bibles in the same floor on multiple floors in the same run
I once got two bibles in the same floor on multiple floors in the same run
I'm assuming you didn't pick it up once to get it out of the item pool? Unless that's not how it works and I'm an idiot for thinking that.

I picked both of them up one floor to get to a soul heart and a locked chest. Inside the chest was bob's brain.
[editline]27th January 2015[/editline]
I swear I'm not making this up.

yeah the bible can get pretty desperate at times

Those guys are some of the shittiest enemies in the entire game.
"Oh what's that? You're being bombarded with stuff from other enemies that only stop attacking when I die? Ohoho, I'll just stay inside this skull!"
Fuck those guys.
it's because the bible gets added 7x to the pool after you get a certain item afaik
Yeah from the rosary. You can see it around his neck in those screenshots so looks like that was the culprit there. Apparently it gets dumped into nearly all the item pools, but vanishes from all of them once you pick one up.
