So, back in vanilla (since I'm on 3DS which hasn't gotten afterbirth yet), I just got the weirdest starting items as eden. How to jump, the polaroid, and the broken remote. I was able to just teleport around without completing any rooms until I ended up where I wanted to be, beating the entire run in maybe fifteen minutes. Unfortunately I hit the I AM ERROR room in womb 2 and couldn't go down to sheol to complete the last post-it task I have left (dark room with eden), but that was still a lot of fun. Definitely one of the stranger experiences I've had with this game, felt like the exploration glitch from link's awakening.

If the advertising had been like "50 new items (and follow the super-secret clues for the chance at even more!)" that'd be ok i guess. Instead I was told I'd be buying 120, and I was given half of that and told I either have to work or wait on events outside the game to get the rest of them. Like, it's no huge injustice to me or anything but I have no sympathy if Ed's little ARG was shattered when he roped people into it deceptively

There's also probably an area after the [sp]Blue Womb[/sp] that we haven't seen yet, since the only way to get the newest ending is to not have the polaroid or negative unlocked which seems really stupid if that's the way that it's intended.

Does the speed challenge do damage to you randomly? I was on an empty floor with no spikes and took three hits within a couple minutes and died.

It'll kill you but not immediately. It's still possible to win if you can keep your health up for long enough.

Protip: do NOT pick up items like Inner Eye that make you shoot multiple shots on the Onan's Streak challenge. I assumed they would all be counted as one shot for the purposes of damaging you, but no. So if you have good damage, the first shot kills the enemy and the other two have nothing to hit and damage you instead.

It looks like [sp] a torn piece of paper with a tower on it, and Isaac wears it on his forehead. No clue what it does though. [/sp] I don't play a lot of BoI, so maybe it's an old item and I just misread it, but it seems like a new item.

Did the patch fix the unlocks you're supposed to get from challenges being unlocked from the start? One of the reasons I didn't do them all yet. Something like the [sp]golden bomb[/sp] i've seen without beating the challenges. It might have been in a daily run or greed mode though.

So they just patched the items in because the art wasn't done on release or something? Nice way to lie to your customers about everything being in the game on release...

So those [sp]"Tree branch shadows"[/sp] as reddit calls them in the [sp]Blue Womb[/sp] are actually just veins. I noticed that during the boss fight, they appear more and more as the boss gets weaker. Probably as an aesthetic effect saying that [sp]you're killing the boss and also yourself o no[/sp]

Azazel is fucking weak as hell now, it's almost unpleasant to play as him until you get his damage up.

Already nabbing some of the new stuff. Lost Fly. A familiar that hugs the walls like Guts. Faded Polaroid. A trinket that I didn't keep because fuck you I have a strong Cain build with Guppy's Tail. Paper Clip lyfe. Spidermod. Lets me see enemy health and damage numbers, much like the original Spidermod. Will keep posted as I come across more. EDIT: Head of the Keeper. Fire penny tears. Sometimes knock money out of enemies that you hit. Toxic. Causes the room to fill with poison when you enter. Also, defeating the Hush now counts as an end-game. Once you kill him that's it, get in the chest and get Ending 17. Although I presume that bringing the shovel will let you bypass and continue through Sheol, gonna try that in the morning :v:

Something new I noticed: Restock machines can break if overused since the patch. Blew it up with Dr. Fetus again one too many times and considering just earlier today I was able to empty the item pool with the same method this had to be new. Unsure if it does that with coins too. I feel bad for anyone trying to unlock Lilith. I thought the reason Azazel was the unlock condition was because he's the easiest to beat Greed with besides Lillith and as a result was a good character to jump into greed with.

Thanks to devs for nerfing Azazel. That's single character I was comfortable playing as, due to my [i][b]absolute shit[/b][/i] dodging skills and excess of unpredictable enemies and bullets in late stages of game. Now I can't even get past first floor on greed mode. I guess that's that.
