it's because the bible gets added 7x to the pool after you get a certain item afaik
Yeah from the rosary. You can see it around his neck in those screenshots so looks like that was the culprit there. Apparently it gets dumped into nearly all the item pools, but vanishes from all of them once you pick one up.
Why
That room looks like it wouldn't be so bad if you didn't stomp all the rocks out
Those guys are some of the shittiest enemies in the entire game.
"Oh what's that? You're being bombarded with stuff from other enemies that only stop attacking when I die? Ohoho, I'll just stay inside this skull!"
Fuck those guys.
The trick is to just be patient with them and not get too close or too far from them. After a set amount of time with you being in their shooting distance (not too close or they'll walk into you, not too far or they just walk) while also not attacking them, they'll open up and fire. Attacking them resets their attack countdown, and being too close won't trigger it at all, so yeah avoid both.
though if there's a bunch of them and also turrets firing at you like that one 2x2 room on the caves and you're in a rush to get to the boss rush then it's fucking easier said then done.

They don't reveal if you shoot at them. Bad move
They don't reveal if you shoot at them. Bad move
Yeah, but sometimes they take about 10 long seconds to reveal. This is especially frustrating in that large room with the four turrets in the cave.
I got brimstone from a boss! HOOZAAAH.....
...WHILST DOING FAMILY MAN SO IT IS FUCKING USELESS. FUCK :suicide:
They don't reveal if you shoot at them. Bad move
I was panicking
Yeah it's still bullshit. I died to them once when I had dick all HP

all you had to do was bomb a door. done
Im recently getting back to playing Eden, I only played him when it was necessary (to get Plat. God) then ignored him.
I just noticed I have 120ish Mom tokens left over, so I was like 'ey fuck it'. Now I cant stop playing him.
Have there been any breakthroughs on getting super meat boy/bandage girl?
The best strategies I've seen are still "Restart hundreds of times until you get these items, and then you still might get unlucky and not be able to do it, so start over."

Book of Revelations supposedly increases the likelihood of a Horseman being the boss of the floor when you use it. I suggest a run where you get it early by being lucky.
I'm slightly tempted to do the "Spam Eden Until you start with Book of Revelations" thing. Is it Mom or Mom's Heart that gives the tokens? Also who would be best to speed through the game fastest Azazel or Judas?

It's Mom's Heart and Azazel is the fastest character to go through the game with.

Seems like kind of a waste to do it as Eden. I mean, it's probably faster to use Isaac with the D6. Just start a game, hold R until you spawn next to a treasure room, and reroll the item if it isn't book of revelations.
Plus, doing it with Isaac, you're at least guaranteed to have pretty balanced starting stats, whereas with Eden you might spawn with some garbage like 1 heart and tiny planet.

I've been trying with Isaac what feels like at least 100+ times and getting no where.
I just encountered a boss room with two Mega Fatties constantly inhaling each others vomit and poop.
This game is amazing. :v:

Are you shitting me?

Gosh damn game. It gives me Cube of meat on floor one then later gives me the Monster Manuel which when I use it it bumps him to level 3. All I had to get was Death in womb then use the book and I would be done. NOPE I get Conquest instead. Fuck this stupid crap.
Oh and if I do find the Book on Floor 1 I end up getting Bandages. This shit is dumb.

Have you considered updating your game

I got that room once. But thankfully i was super Guppy at this point.
Have you considered updating your game
I don't think he can since the game isn't on his steam list...
did he pirate the game or what? I sure can't think of any other explanation lol.

Thanks Conquest.
Don't worry I know the feeling of running into Conquest (If you saw my post above). It's bullshit.

I just had a room with an eye in the middle and four of those guys. The last one didn't open his skull head for, I shit you not, a full 2 minutes, and I couldn't not shoot at him because I needed to have my Ludovico orb close in order to actually hit him. Sure I only took one heart of damage but fuck that guy seriously.

Yeah it just adds that extra barrier of randomness to letting you get Meat Boy/Bandage Girl. Wouldn't even be so bad if it actually gave you a choice between the two options, like you could choose either the White Horse or the Cube of Meat even without There's Options in your build.
And with that concept in mind, would it be interesting to have a Horse for each of the regular Four Horsemen? In theory, they'd function like the Horses do only with a related active ability. Famine's ability would be to summon friendly Pooters when you dash, Pestilence's Horse would be able to launch a creep-spawning Ipecac projectile, War's Horse would either let you do a dash that crosses the room three times OR act like Anarchist's Cookbook, and Death's Horse would either act like the Hourglass or summon four homing scythes in the corners of the room.
Keep in mind that it would appear alongside the Cube of Meat/Ball of Bandages, and you'd have to choose between the two, so that if you aren't going for a Meat Boy/Bandage Girl run, you could consider the benefits of one of the six amazing Horses.
The White Horse was incredible the first run I ran into it, now every time I get it I already have flying :v:
I got a big room with Azazel that had 4 of those sucking things in the center. They just sucked me in the nanosecond I entered the room and I couldn't get away.
I was stuck.
Had to restart.
Thankfully this happened in SHEOL. FUCK YOU GAME.

You could have just quit and continued.
Here's something silly that I just accidentally discovered: the temporary black out time that certain enemies cause (such as the dark one) don't stop when you pause the game. In other words, if an enemy turns the screen dark, you can just pause the game, wait for the lights to come back on, then unpause and continue on as normal lol.
(or of course you can just do what I do and have gamma set to max and it won't even matter to begin with)
